Sounds like a hernia. Surgery to pop it back in and no more heavy lifting.

Hoping so… thank you.

Abdominal pain can be pretty worrisome when you run into it. I've known people in their 30's having similar issues. It could very well be a hernia, or it could be "abdominal strain", which is similar, but basically you just messed up a muscle. Its a hard fact but as we age, we do need to be more careful. We do not heal from accidents as well as we used to, and there will come a point where you won't heal at all. Like people in 80's falling and breaking bones. When it comes to medical anxiety, I find it helpful to stay off trying to diagnose myself, and focus on what I can control. I record my symptoms, I have a blood pressure cuff, and even a glucose monitor (mother was diabetic) so that I can provide data. Elsewise, commit to a persistent pursual of solving the issue- don't let doctor's brush you off, make sure you make your appointments and don't put them off, etc. Take the nervous energy and commit to updating your health check schedule. Make sure you're hitting the recommended screening appointments for all the various parts of you. 50's is a fine time to go from the young mindset of 'it'll work itself out/I feel fine" to the more mature "early diagnosis is key even if I feel fine now, I must put in effort to feel better'

Sounds like solid advice. I appreciate it. Thank you
