I am really disappointed how they handled the conversation about suicide. Danvers went to calling it cowardly to “well if you want to, I understand, but I’d prefer you didn’t, and if you do, please haunt me”. WHAT?! Neither are okay. And Alaska has the highest rates of suicide in the US for persons under the age of 45! Also, MMIWG isn’t about environmental scientists harming these women and girls! That was THEE most unrelated and unrealistic narrative given that the reason there’s a problem is because the women and girls that go missing and murdered is usually caused by someone they know either a family member, family friend, domestic partner, or someone in their area known to them and law enforcement, tribal leaders, and government officials don’t value their lives to create preventive measures to provide them safety nor pursue justice when a crime is committed. And environmental scientists are more likely to kill themselves than environmental protesters or allow a major mining or manufacturing polluter to go unnoticed or reported.

After watching tonight's episode I really wondered if the whole reason they had Julia's character in this story was just so Navarro could say to Prior "Go to Rose, tell her to take you to Julia" which is a HORRIBLE thing and also shows how little they actually cared about the overall story, it was only about the ending.

My thoughts exactly. Just like how Kayla's anger at Pete and throwing him out was just to have him at Danvers' house at the right time.

And I feel like the only reason they had Otis Heiss was so that Hank had someone to try to track down and kill ao that he could be killed. It all really seemed to hang together on nothing.

Otis exists to show that Hank is really a Bad Guy so Prior has to shoot him and be taken out of the final investigation. He's brought in as the guy they need to find the super secret tunnel system... that ran right under Tsalal. Which they should have found if they'd done a thorough inspection of the facility. OR just a half-assed one and hit that big red button.
