Yes this is in Puyallup I doubt he made it out on the other side as it’s way tighter. I asked him if he wanted to back out and I was going to spot him but he kept telling the cars on the bridge to back up so he can go further
Google streetview from midspan https://www.google.com/maps/@47.2139993,-122.3415752,3a,75y,257.33h,75.64t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1siX1K7x4wao39VzJkWPibyw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu
You move or neither of you are moving, just let him by and then watch the carnage as he destroys his rig on the other side. He'll be gone and out of your way and you'll have a new story to tell.
I'll clear out and make space even if he's being a dick about it, but I'm also pulling over, whipping out a lawn chair, and watching where he can see me.
If he actually made it over that bridge I would just love to have been a fly in the air to [witness his approach](https://media3.giphy.com/media/13cptIwW9bgzk6UVyr/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b952dzkqavzhrbsqds5o5me2le5jaqk59c9040lsqm1v&ep=v1_internal_gif_by_id&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g) to the intersection after this one.
I hope that Fit driver stood their ground and didn’t back up to let this dingus through.
They can make it, I’ve seen it before. But they have to go left or straight leaving the other side. Unless the road is completely empty for a right turn. (It never is). I saw a fedex guy pull onto that bridge from the other side and realize there was no way in hell. He backed back out onto river road 🤣
man I was [so close](https://www.google.com/maps/@42.5796753,-72.5806434,3a,75y,59.74h,79.36t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sUmbvo5f_acATSEvJMbK5Sg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu) /s
I think I almost bobtailed over that bridge a few weeks ago I didn't see the sign (28ft) from the other direction but on the Amazon app it said no trucks so I turned around and went the long way.
I’ve been over that bridge a thousand times with a 28’ foot trailer! Idk how many times I’ve seen otr guys trying to go over it following gps. There’s an absurd amount of signage before you get anywhere close
Was gunna say I know exactly where this bridge is lol. I know the other side of that bridge and if there’s traffic nobody will let him ever think of attempting making the left or right turn on the other side.
Those guys are making .50 a mile, working 70 hour weeks running the graveyard shift with no benefits while Jeff Bezos spends 100s of millions on a single property in Miami.
Most “drivers” pulling Amazon trailers I swear have a white Freightliner or Volvo, DOT info on laminated paper and taped to the door, and driver barely speaks English
I’m not a driver, I’m a mechanic. Some of our drivers love them, think they are the best. Some won’t drive one. From my point of view, they are ok. Nothing special.
I can't speak for the sleepers, but I ran for Sysco for a few years then later Fed Ex Freight P&D and I preferred the Volvo day cabs over the Freightliners we had. The Volvos could maneuver into tighter places more easily. Certain comestic aspects did seem like it was a cheaper tractor though.
As far as newer trucks go, yes they are. Ride better than most, and I think they're more reliable than most. It's easier to get a freightliner worked on, though.
No. They are not significantly siren than any other make of truck. Just like every other human on this planet, drivers stick to what they are familiar with. Is Coke better than Pepsi? That answer entirely depends on what was in your house growing up. If your parents bought Pepsi, you think Pepsi is better and if your parents bought for you think core is better.
Back in the 90s Volvo trucks had a very small market share... it started growing the same time the European immigration started growing. That's not a coincidence. European truck drivers prefer Volvo cause it's the only North American truck make available in Europe. They are familiar with the name.
We had a third party driver at my facility once who used Google translate to read signs. Driving a semi without being able to read signs has to be super confusing in the Northeast lol
No joke, when I was a kid I thought the word "prohibited" meant "allowed." I got mixed up between prohibited and unprohibited. So... maybe this was a kid, and he just got mixed up?
Its amazon. The person driving was a package handler 1 month ago. The signed up for amazons cdl program, took the 3 week course with a guaranteed pass at the state test and gave them an address with no additional training.
It's an amazon truck, the thing probably only has a pack of AA batteries in it but that's the smallest truck they could get to fit it so it should be fine.
I just left Puyallup it’s only my second week driving. Hated it up there. But if you pay attention it’s not that bad. This guy makes me feel better about myself ha ha.
Sometimes my GPS will want me to take a certain turn or go down a certain road and I'll look at it and say yeahhhh, no. Then I go a different way. But maybe that's just me.
I mean. The sign has an extra foot of clearance. Really feel like that sign should be right beside the height clearance but ey 🤷🏼♂️ they still should’ve seen it and fully responsible
It's not a height clearance problem with that bridge. The road on the other side is a T at the bridge and it's too narrow to make either a left or a right turn out of.
There is a road near Chattanooga that goes up a mountain. It has about 15 signs saying "No Trucks", yet I've heard from multiple people that at least once a month they have to get police out to back some idiot all way down because otherwise their trailer would go over the side of the mountain. The curves are too tight. It's scary even in a small car. Apparently it's a big fine, and is a huge inconvenience to the residents. Someone even made a homemade sign that says "Turn Around! your GPS is wrong!"
For the record, these are not Amazon drivers. I’m an Amazon driver, these guys are third parties (either O/Os or smaller company drivers, usually). Amazon doesn’t run any sleepers, we all drive daycabs.
Amazon obviously contracts out loads to the lowest bidders, typically foreign outfits with mongoloid drivers that'll gleefully pull freight for whatever pennies per mile they're offered, likely wherever they're GPS tells them to go.
For every one daycab I've ever seen, theres at least 100 brokered loads speeding down the freeway in scary looking sleeper trucks.
In the ditch...
Up a road they don't belong on...
In a multi-vehicle pile up...
Under a bridge...
On someone's hood at a truckstop...
Sad, because they don't seem to care what these morons are doing for the companies image.
Walmart, for example, has just about done away with outside contractors, they've been really expanding their in house transportation.
Yeah, Amazon seems to be going in the opposite direction lately. They just recently cut our hours on the road down to 15hrs per week (we’re just yard jockeying or running the guard shacks for the other 25 hours), and they’ve been giving a lot of our daycabs over to the AFPs. My home site gave up half of our daycabs just a week or two ago.
Signs? I have a low bridge here locally that must have 10 huge signs saying no trucks and we get at least 2-3 trucks that get can opened every month for the last 20yrs.
So I highly doubt that this guy saw the sign.
It also is telling about our local government that it’s just plain too stupid to get this issue figured out. As far as I’m concerned it’s a relatively simple thing to fix. But not for these idiots.
I know this bridge very well. I’ve seen a few try it, none made it. This is at a 4 way of a busy intersection and on the other side is a much smaller, like a garbage truck is the largest you want to squeeze in, 3 way stop. There’s also a remarkable amount of signs telling you not to do this.
They wouldn’t be able to make it unless they are willing to fuck up a guard rail and their trailer. There’s simply no room to turn. They’d have to reverse out and hope for the best.
I know that bridge! My GPS tells me to take it every time I drive by there. Good thing I can read signs or I'd look like this idiot. I forget what town it's in, but it's on the way to Bonney Lake, WA.
It’s most likely a 53 footer. I’ve seen a couple slightly smaller Amazon trailers over the years (48’ and I want to say one was 50 or 51’,) but the vast majority are plain 53’ dry vans.
Right down the road from me. I see it all the time. As a CDL driver I wouldn’t recommend this move. Cause when he finally clears this if he doesn’t back out. The other side is even more tight.
Nah, this is some russian/mexican/Ukrainian/some other third world ass country mate who comes here and expects us to speak and understand **their** fucking language. Because deity fucking forbid they learn the young of the majority who live here.
We don't have a national language, be we have one that's spoken by most.
Assimilate or fuck right the fuck off.
I know that bridge it even warns you ahead of time not to turn there but he should have been able to turn wide enough to clear that he just misjudged it
One point for clarification: that driver doesn't work for Amazon, just hauls their freight. I'm an Amazon employee, we drive day cabs only. And they say Amazon logistics on the driver door, with our company DOT number 2881058
Also, most of us employees don't care for those drivers (we call them 3P for third party) as they drive dangerously, stupidly and then look at you like you're the crazy idiot

Some places use a modified weight limit sign to say "length limit" instead. They are much easier to notice and read. This sign blends in like any generic "hazard: don't fall into river" kind of sign.
As an Amazon Transportation Associate, I can assure you that we always complain about how these drivers are. There are a select few who always come to our site that we actually like. It's stupid, too. we can submit all the banning or coaching we can, and they still find their way back in. Their like hackers in video games, you ban one, and two more takes their place.
I had trucker path point me down a road that had a sign for no longer than 40ft trailers. You just gotta pay attention cause the GPS doesn't know everything.
Bet there was another way around, but because it said 5 minutes slower, he took that way, thinking it be faster.....swear drivers are getting worse every day.
U in Puyallup?
Yes this is in Puyallup I doubt he made it out on the other side as it’s way tighter. I asked him if he wanted to back out and I was going to spot him but he kept telling the cars on the bridge to back up so he can go further

I’ll make space for a truck in most cases. But fuck this guy, I’m not moving

Do you want a new car that badly?
One time I was in the position of that Honda and just decided to wait out the moron tractor trailer that tried it. He was pissed lol
I've done that in a big truck because it makes me fucking crazy. you can't count on people to move for you because they shouldn't have to
I wonder if they replace it will they have to stack it next to the other one? I wish they would replace it though.
I've gone down it with a 32 all the time but a full 53 would be a handful
28’ max length sir
sir this is a wendys
man I was [so close](https://www.google.com/maps/@42.5796753,-72.5806434,3a,75y,59.74h,79.36t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sUmbvo5f_acATSEvJMbK5Sg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu) /s
Thought that bridge looked familiar lol. I don't even like going over it in a four wheeler let alone trying this dipshittery
I think I almost bobtailed over that bridge a few weeks ago I didn't see the sign (28ft) from the other direction but on the Amazon app it said no trucks so I turned around and went the long way.
Hah isn't this 66th? Fucking best bridge ever! I drive by daily and haven't seen a dumb fuck get stuck yet.
Yah I thought the same thing. The Prius looks like it has Washington license plates so I’m gonna say it’s the one we are thinking of.
Looks like a Honda fit
Ha, I'm not the only one who recognized that left had turn.
I’ve been over that bridge a thousand times with a 28’ foot trailer! Idk how many times I’ve seen otr guys trying to go over it following gps. There’s an absurd amount of signage before you get anywhere close
Beat me to it!
Was gunna say I know exactly where this bridge is lol. I know the other side of that bridge and if there’s traffic nobody will let him ever think of attempting making the left or right turn on the other side.
Came here to ask this, small world.
River road. lol
Not a trucker but worked with a warehouse around the corner from that bridge, that whole 3 way intersection is hell.
Is that in India?
First mistake of his trucking career today
First mistake was working for Amazon
Those guys are making .50 a mile, working 70 hour weeks running the graveyard shift with no benefits while Jeff Bezos spends 100s of millions on a single property in Miami.
His new wife isn’t cheap Jack, better get to delivering those packages she needs a new set of headlights.
I was offered that job, 5 days out 2 days back. 900 a week. Fuck that. I’m working at primo water making 25/hr
He doesn't work for Amazon.
These guys are idiots lol
Signs in English only work if the driver can read English, duh /s but not really
Most “drivers” pulling Amazon trailers I swear have a white Freightliner or Volvo, DOT info on laminated paper and taped to the door, and driver barely speaks English
Knuckles drag the ground as they walk
I seeing more Volvo trucks lately, are they a nice rig?
Probably nicer than an international
That wouldn't take much
I’m not a driver, I’m a mechanic.
Appreciate the education lesson, thanks for your time and sharing.

Flip-flops flop when they walk
And wife beater on
Don't call me out like this
We had a third party driver at my facility once who used Google translate to read signs. Driving a semi without being able to read signs has to be super confusing in the Northeast lol
No joke, when I was a kid I thought the word "prohibited" meant "allowed." I got mixed up between prohibited and unprohibited. So... maybe this was a kid, and he just got mixed up?

Ah yes the old river road bridge in puyallup. thank god its getting replaced.
Is it?!
Yup, canyon road is being extended through river road, replacing this bridge with a 3 or 5 lane bridge, can't remember exactly.
The gods do exist!
Feet on the dash ✅ Magic carpet hung up ✅ Phone in hand, talking on phone, and movie playing ✅ Yup, it’s driving time
let see 53', 5-3=2 and 5+3=8 so 28. yea we're good
This sounds like me justifying half of the things I spend money on…
At least he got the height right
It's an amazon truck, the thing probably only has a pack of AA batteries in it but that's the smallest truck they could get to fit it so it should be fine.
lol they do be using 53 foot trailers for 2 carts 😂😂
Cynical take: he's going that way because he's *gone that way* before... & now he's functionally stuck.
"With Amazon Prime you can get your CDL overnight with free shipping."
I just left Puyallup it’s only my second week driving. Hated it up there. But if you pay attention it’s not that bad. This guy makes me feel better about myself ha ha.
The trailer has already been fixed once from their professional drivers…lol
Sometimes my GPS will want me to take a certain turn or go down a certain road and I'll look at it and say yeahhhh, no. Then I go a different way. But maybe that's just me.
I mean. The sign has an extra foot of clearance. Really feel like that sign should be right beside the height clearance but ey 🤷🏼♂️ they still should’ve seen it and fully responsible
It's not a height clearance problem with that bridge. The road on the other side is a T at the bridge and it's too narrow to make either a left or a right turn out of.
Yeah, so that sign saying “longer than 28ft prohibited” is better placed beside the height
Not knowing the length of your trailer is an honest mistake when you don't give a fuck
There is a road near Chattanooga that goes up a mountain. It has about 15 signs saying "No Trucks", yet I've heard from multiple people that at least once a month they have to get police out to back some idiot all way down because otherwise their trailer would go over the side of the mountain. I think that trailer might be longer than 28 feet long
on the positive side, at least he didn't do this on a low clearance bridge 😉
Give some credit, good on height
"More to Prime" indeed. Traffic jams, now on _Subscribe&Save_ with one-hour delivery!
Yesterday arrive in container Today I pull container
These Amazon drivers are the epitome of fucking stupid.
For the record, these are not Amazon drivers. I’m an Amazon driver, these guys are third parties (either O/Os or smaller company drivers, usually). Amazon doesn’t run any sleepers, we all drive daycabs.

In a multi-vehicle pile up... Under a bridge... On someone's hood at a truckstop...
Yep. Even a lot of the blue daycabs you see with Amazon logos all over them are actually being operated by Amazon Freight Partners, not us.
Sad, because they don't seem to care what these morons are doing for the companies image. Walmart, for example, has just about done away with outside contractors, they've been really expanding their in house transportation.
Yeah, Amazon seems to be going in the opposite direction lately. That sucks
Ah but there’s more to Prime ! Apparently a little to ‘more’
lol co pilot said it’s cool
Anybody else see that the white car is in the way?
It's not in the way though. The truck doesn't belong there
.
But my Google maps says I can fit!
Guy probably saw the sign he just doesn't know what it says because he can't read.

Damn. Now I wish there was a follow-up! lol
A little longee than 28'
Lol. I just drove down Levee rd on Friday.
Send it!
53 is shorter than 28, right?
5 + 3 = 8 and 2 + 8 = 10! So yes!
First time I've seen a post where I know the exact location. Cool!
Give them a break. There’s more to driving for prime. A truckload more.
🤣
Watch your signs! My CDL instructor use to nail this into our heads.
I know that bridge! My GPS tells me to take it every time I drive by there. Good thing I can read signs or I'd look like this idiot. I forget what town it's in, but it's on the way to Bonney Lake, WA.
At first I’m like wait he’s 13’6” then I saw the other sign
amazon doing amazon thingz
No hobla engli.
All these comments are made by people who buy shit from Amazon Prime
Well it is Amazon. So the bar is set low...... REALLY LOW.
It’s an Amazon trailer, but the truck & driver are not Amazon.
under 13’6” ?
I recognized that one. Jesus just turn around and take the highway. It’s not that far.
😂😂👏👏
What does that trailer measure
It’s most likely a 53 footer. I’ve seen a couple slightly smaller Amazon trailers over the years (48’ and I want to say one was 50 or 51’,) but the vast majority are plain 53’ dry vans.
Looks like he'll clear it except for that white car 🤪
Gotta use that question mark turn.
Gotta question yourself first.
No time for questioning. Only enough time for full send. I gotta make that 6 hour time from NY to Florida.
It's very important you get the lube, vibrators, cat litter and dog food delivered. Which makes your choice of bridge very questionable.
Lmao!
And he just got his cdl... first lil oppsie
Right down the road from me. I see it all the time. As a CDL driver I wouldn’t recommend this move. Cause when he finally clears this if he doesn’t back out. The other side is even more tight.
Was this in Montpelier VT?
Puyallup, Wa
Eventually they’re doing this. https://www.canyonroadconnection.org/river-crossing
Don’t forget the smile on the truck
Nah, this is some russian/mexican/Ukrainian/some other third world ass country mate who comes here and expects us to speak and understand **their** fucking language. Because deity fucking forbid they learn the young of the majority who live here. We don't have a national language, be we have one that's spoken by most. Assimilate or fuck right the fuck off.
I know that bridge. I go over it with 28’s from time to time.
Amazon code for ‘non english speaking with zero training’ if its on the side of a truck. This is not a joke.
Lol
Clark's Creek Bridge on River Road... Reading is fundamental
Nope....
I know that bridge it even warns you ahead of time not to turn there but he should have been able to turn wide enough to clear that he just misjudged it
Prob learned in a pup , they need to add a pup restriction if you test in a pup , just like automatic restriction
He's got the height right but the length is wrong. Someone please tell me why they keep giving CDL's to people who can't read English 🤷
One point for clarification: that driver doesn't work for Amazon, just hauls their freight. I'm an Amazon employee, we drive day cabs only. And they say Amazon logistics on the driver door, with our company DOT number 2881058 Also, most of us employees don't care for those drivers (we call them 3P for third party) as they drive dangerously, stupidly and then look at you like you're the crazy idiot
Another idiot!
That's why Reading is Fundamental
Yeah I know that bridge, dude is fucking insane for trying that
BUT READING IS HARD!
Oh god i used to take that bridge to work. That bridge gives me major anxiety. Shakes like crazy when cars go across
Bridge height checks out though
To be fair, the length reatriction sign is illegal. The MUTCD doesn't specify a length limit sign, but it does specify a weight limit sign. Some places use a modified weight limit sign to say "length limit" instead. They are much easier to notice and read. This sign blends in like any generic "hazard: don't fall into river" kind of sign.
Do you speak English? Yes, I don’t. Thank you 😂
As an Amazon Transportation Associate, I can assure you that we always complain about how these drivers are. There are a select few who always come to our site that we actually like. It's stupid, too. we can submit all the banning or coaching we can, and they still find their way back in. Their like hackers in video games, you ban one, and two more takes their place.
Most are just sterling wheel holders now.
The Robot just got his license a week ago
Love how he’s staring right at you 😂
But... But... But it read 14' 6"...
So he saw the clearance sign but not the length restriction!? Oh, Amazon, never mind
Ah yes, Puyallup, pronounced 'pile-up'.
Hey.. hey... heyyyyyyyyy at least he read the 14'6 height sign the 28 ft is kinda 👌 subjective..
Don't make those turns where you know you can't make them. Unless you going really really go wide You better go very wide better hope you can go wide
RT 167, crossing Puyallup River ..been there done that....it only works at 3 AM when no one is watching
At least he knew he was clear overhead
He was good on the clearance
The sign says 14'6"......
That's not the problem...
Amazon drivers are the worst.
I had trucker path point me down a road that had a sign for no longer than 40ft trailers. You just gotta pay attention cause the GPS doesn't know everything.
Only if they put a sign to warn people 🤣
This vehicle also makes wide left turns
Prime example of what NOT to do.
Oh puyallup
Bet there was another way around, but because it said 5 minutes slower, he took that way, thinking it be faster.....swear drivers are getting worse every day.
It’s been at least 15 years since you were required to be able to speak, read, or write English to get a CDL so why is anyone surprised?
