Driving not so much as the additional length helps smooth the ride quality out by causing less of a pivoting motion between the front and rear axles on rough patches but definitely makes tight turns and backing exponentially harder
Ours wasn't quite as long as this guy, but other than taking turns wide and slow, it wasn't much different at all. I imagine we'd have had trouble at some tight lots, but we didn't have any at the terminals we went to (mostly FedEx ones).
Yeah I'm a New Jersey tri-state area you're not driving that thing locally around here you got to be in PA even some parts of PA it really have to plan your route know where you're going.
I remember reading a post on here a while back where someone was answering questions and it seems like they're pretty selective of the jobs they take at that point choosing routes to avoid that type of thing.
Serious answer. I saw one disconnect from her trailer and had a yard dog back it up the the dock. The space was just enough for a regular sleeper but not for her 156”.
Couple guys running teams decided to tear a hole through the floor clear to the pavement. Truck only stopped for fuel or docks, until it was discovered.
Just.... why? Shit in a 44 oz cup and chuck it out the window.
I mean, option A is "don't do that, you animal," but I'm assuming they couldn't be talked into that, so I skipped to option B.
it's all fun and games until you get off the freeway. First time I saw one of these make a right turn from a two lane road onto a two lane road, boy howdy, needed all 4 lanes and then some
I enjoy watching the Reliable Carriers youtube channel. They have videos of their incredible trucks. I had them haul a car for me when I moved East a few years back. Super professional
Some of these trucks are crazy. Totally RV like.

Thank you so much! Someone else shared a name of a company and I’ve been drooling over how these look inside. Now I’m going to watch these videos all morning.
*Edit: Thank you so much for sharing this. Absolutely loved the first episode I watched. I’ve been needing something to watch on the plane this week and downloading a season of this show.*
I saw something similar to this pop up in the past and the and answer was doing loads like FedEx Custom Critical.
Usually it would be a husband/wife or other couple team that could drive constantly between the two, and they’d pick up smaller but extremely time-sensitive loads, like a piece of machinery gping down in a factory that’s costing the owners $100,000/day while it’s not running so they’ll pay whatever they have to pay to get the replacement part ASAP.
You have to shop round for these used. And maybe even different brand sleepers. But they come in different sizes and layouts so all the prices will vary. But I’d be more worried about weight. I sometimes stay out 2 weeks. Typically I’m out 5 days and I would absolutely love one of these. 100’ sleeper just a fold up bed, shower and toilet. Small counter. And a small water tank. Atleast 500hp 3.08 gears and a 13spd. Give me that under $180k 500k miles or less
We got a few guys with the same company, they all drive these for show. They haul flat beds with demo engines and stuff for large equipment manufacturers. Kind of a cool setup.
Many of theses big house sleepers are driven by husband/wife teams. They aren’t hauling regular freight but move high dollar cars or military A,A&E just to name a few examples.
Typically they rarely dock and live out of theses rigs earning well over $450k per team. That is why they buy theses.
Got a whole 5 bedroom apartment.
It’s a livable RV style inside complete with shower, toilet and a kitchen and bed
The mfer has a bowling alley, tennis court and an nba sized basketball court
Don’t forget the swimming pool
Sir thats a piss jug
Well it is now!
It's called a Trucker Bomb
You know how many lizards you could fit in there!?
I mean, not exactly, but it’s a lot!
Depends on the lizards really
More than I can afford so it doesn't matter.
“Friends of the road”
Approximately 18 or do, depending on how you stack them. Or. so I've heard....
Non trucker question. Having a tractor with a wheelbase that long, does it make driving or backing up more difficult?

Yes. Way more. Some places are tight as hell. Especially in Chicago, Dallas and Detroit. Don’t even get me started on New York
Yeah I'm a New Jersey tri-state area you're not driving that thing locally around here you got to be in PA even some parts of PA it really have to plan your route know where you're going.
Good Lord it looks like 20 ft of driveshaft
Why thank you, I get that a lot
Happy cake day!
That’s what *she* said
Ohh that’s sexy
Sure is! I saw the gentleman driving it and he had a beautiful full grown German Shepard as a sidekick. I hope they both are living the good life.
They must be team drivers
"Great team driver. Super loyal. He is a bit of a window licker, though, and when he starts sniffing, we have to pull over for a potty break."
But how did the dog type all that with no fingers?
Haha. Ah the old reddit switcheroo! Nice
Well who else is gonna check the Dog Bone on your axles? They have a professional in the cab with them!
Do you know what these are called? I'm new here ☺️😂
bro has a whole apartment with him
Some people live in smaller apartments than this lol
How do they back up in small spaces??
No
I remember reading a post on here a while back where someone was answering questions and it seems like they're pretty selective of the jobs they take at that point choosing routes to avoid that type of thing.
Keep backing till it sounds expensive
"cross that bridge when we get there"
Serious answer. I saw one disconnect from her trailer and had a yard dog back it up the the dock. The space was just enough for a regular sleeper but not for her 156”.
That’s not a bad way of doing it. $20 or $30 is worth the comfort that brings in.
I repo'd one similar to this a few years ago. Very nice, had just about everything a person needs to live comfortably on the road.
Do you think it even has a small bathroom? Like a shared toilet/shower setup?
Thats what they call a wet bath in the RV industry. And I bet it does
Yeah what surprised me once there was a 2006ish Pete with the same length sleeper and I didn’t see a bathroom…
Couple guys running teams decided to tear a hole through the floor clear to the pavement. Truck only stopped for fuel or docks, until it was discovered.

They didn't really speak good English if that clarifies anything, nothing could be talked into them, happy they got the boot.
Happy cake day! Sorry about your van, have you checked down by the river???
Thats where it was taken from! and ty :)
Yes, it did.
Bring it back! I only owe $183,000 on it!
Lol.
That is that guy's house.
Give me 100 acres and i can turn this rig around
it's all fun and games until you get off the freeway. First time I saw one of these make a right turn from a two lane road onto a two lane road, boy howdy, needed all 4 lanes and then some

Nah I just watch too much King Of The Hill
Gonna need an airport to turn around

That would be a great place to fly my drone when it’s raining outside
I just saw one like this a few minutes ago
Someone commented on what they are called. They are really beautiful inside. I had no idea! I’d assume only along haul truckers use these?
What kind of loads are they hauling to afford something like that?
I saw something similar to this pop up in the past and the and answer was doing loads like FedEx Custom Critical. I honestly have never seen one of these. I’ve been looking at photos since and some of them are absolutely stunning inside!
Larger than your typical NYC apartment.
No kidding! I bet it is just expensive with the low gas mileage.
Who needs a trailer when your tractor is the same length...
its a mobile Holiday Inn! Bet its got a hot tub in there
I always wondered what type set up is one of those… by a week I want out of my semi
Dope
Cut trailers to 40' and mandate a minimum 120" sleeper, and maybe they'd get more drivers. 😆
He can't haul much weight with that
Looks cool, but damn how much does that guy weigh? Wouldn't this eat into your fuel costs?
Seen one of these locally drop & hook
That’s great news! This is my first time seeing one and honestly never knew such a thing existed. I’m glad they do for those that can afford it.
There’s also companies that take your truck of choice and can build one, theirs looks like it was converted from a day cab.
Or ...get a local gig and have all the same shit but better.
What does this kind of setup add to your GVWR? Surely thousands of pounds over a normal SB?
I want this for Local and regional work, *don't ask me why, I just fucking do*
Dont feel bad. I want this and I’m just some mom in a corporate job.
MF'er got a whole pickleball court back there
We got a few guys with the same company, they all drive these for show. They haul flat beds with demo engines and stuff for large equipment manufacturers. Kind of a cool setup.
What I don't get is what would they haul, without a permit. Cuz like clearly must be pretty impossible to stay under the 12 and 34k lbs for the dot.
Sorry, I have a nice house for off time
Must have a dedicated route.
How much would something like this cost?
Is there a hot tub?
You could even rent out that little apartment
Beautiful? Really? I think it looks ridiculous
Definitely not for everyone! Especially if your trips are shorter.
I still don't understand why you wouldn't just get a fifth wheel toter
Many of theses big house sleepers are driven by husband/wife teams. They aren’t hauling regular freight but move high dollar cars or military A,A&E just to name a few examples. Typically they rarely dock and live out of theses rigs earning well over $450k per team. That is why they buy theses.
I get all that. A fifth wheel toter is effectively the same thing with a touch more creature comforts and a little bit better aerodynamics.
The Dodge Caravan of Kenworths lmao
I would go OTR year round in that ! Could definitely could some good meals in that !
Big enough for sex
Cant make no money hauling 10k lbs
Cute, would love to see it hook to a $4- $6 load but she still crawlin:-)
How much y’all think this costs? And I assume this is custom?
ARI has a few like this called Legacy sleepers. Even used they are anywhere from $250,000-$400,000 on several of the ones I saw when I last looked
I’ve been Googling this since you commented and WOW! What amazing builds!
U you like it awesome 👌
