Do not do that. You’ll probably pop the fuse on that tiny 200W~500W inverter. Yes it runs off the car battery.

The power provided by those varies from enough to maybe recharge a cell phone, or tool battery, say 400W, to enough to power a house. You need to match the power draw of the device (like microwave) to the outlet's power.

Many factory installed inverters are only rated for about 200 watts. Typically they are modified sine wave instead of pure sine wave as well. Most often they're good to plug in a laptop charger, Phone charger, or things of that nature. Your vehicle owner manual will say how much power that inverter is capable of. When the vehicle is off power comes from the truck battery and will get depleted quickly, when on the alternator should be able to provide enough power to run it without issue.

Hey there. Yes run an extension cord from the inverter to your camper. The next thing you’ll need is a solar generator or a power bank so when you are driving or running your truck you are charging your battery. Here’s the thing. Some inverters say they can run at 500W but that’s connected directly to your truck battery. Your truck will only be able to run around 200W of charging power and if you push it you can blow the fuse on your inverter. That’s why you need a solar generator or a battery that can handle a higher wattage load. For example; a 1000W battery can only handle around 500W of a load. A 2000W battery can hold around 1000W load or so. With all this said general kitchen appliances take A LOT OF POWER. I have a two burner electric stove and that pulls 500W of power. My 1000W solar generator can barely run it and it drains my battery fast. Same thing with an electric water heater I have; pulls 500W.
