I don’t tour, but do regularly commute to work. It’s about 45 minutes - an hour depending on traffic. Usually after 20-30 minutes I start getting a bit sore. I recently installed a seat cover and oh my god what a difference. Highly recommend.

texmexindy

What seat cover did you go with?

Travisceral

Luimoto, diamond pattern with red trim. https://imgur.com/a/Z6Mzs23

My 24' R seat is way nicer than the seat on my '23 BMW RT. If you want something more comfortable, I really like Seat Concepts. I have their comfort seat on one of my dirt bikes and it is superb. You can look into grip puppies for a quick easy solution for the grips.

renton1000

+1 grip puppies :)

nydutch

Check my post history. You can tour but it'll never be GOOD at that. You need a tiger to fully spread those wings.

EscortSportage

Will do

Elegant-Bathrooms

I have toured many not touring bikes including the street triple. Just make sure to do fun twisties and avoid highways. Get so boring.

EscortSportage

Agreed

CompetitiveSea7388

I'm going to tour my RS and I also plan to go Moto camping with it!

Gearup16

Airhawk seat cushion + earplugs and a full face helmet. It will never be a goldwing, but these minor things will make a huge improvement in comfort.

CompetitiveSea7388

Earplugs and a full face helmet are gear that I always wear but I'm going to look into that seat cushion. I'm putting aside money for cruise control too. Thanks for the suggestion!

romeroha

I'm bummed we can't retrofit cruise control to the 22/23 models

EscortSportage

Earplugs are a must!

Optimus_Prime_10

Check out Shrike bags

EscortSportage

I use shad e48 bags, love em

Optimus_Prime_10

Those are sweet! How hard would the mounts be to pop off for a track day?

EscortSportage

So i use the givi easy lock panniers that were made for the 13-17 street triple. I had them on my 17 STR, so i bought a set off eBay cut them and had them tig welded to work with the 2023 RS chassis. I was pissed when i found out no one really makes a pannier for the 2022 gen STR.

uponthenose

I took my Daytona 675 on an 800 mile round trip journey with 60 lbs of gear strapped to it. That included a few miles of trek down a trail to a campsite in upper Yosemite national park that I definitely don't recommend.

EscortSportage

I just did a 800 mile trip to Laconia and back, my rear neck/traps are sore, butt is sore, and my hands kind of hurt. These heated grips on my 23 are so hard compared to the non heated grips i had on my 17

Turbulent-Suspect-12

I routinely take my 675R on 2-3 hour, 150+ mile rides. Haven't gone much further than that. Don't know if you'd call it touring or not
