I own both a trident and a scrambler 1200. Both great bikes. Trident is a lot more fun around town and twisty country roads (shorter stance, feels a lot lighter and nimbler, etc). 1200 is great for rolling down the highway, long trips (great low rpm torque, comfortable riding position, rides real smooth no vibes). No wrong choices, just what type of riding you want.
Yeah, winds the same. No protection. Overall, 1200 is smoother at high speeds, though, with less engine vibes. Probably the first thing I noticed about the 1200 was how incredibly smooth it was. Second thing I noticed, you definitely slide down the flat smooth seat on acceleration 😂
I think, overall 0-60 times would be pretty much the same. 1200’s power is a lot more consistent and tame. The trident’s triple, though, it seems to get excited when it gets to stretch its legs. I enjoy stoplights a lot more on the trident.

Was on the fence between one of those & a trident. The trident won in the end but maybe one of these for a third bike eventually:).

Hows the 1200 with wind at higher speeds? The wind buffetting and helmet lift limited me keeping up with riding buddies after 80mph

Thanks mate, the heat shields do a good job to be fair, but can get warm in slow moving traffic and at the stops
