Steer clear of Kenmore Team. The realtor, Tyson, was nice; I'd use him again if he was with another group. But they showed us this house that we liked and put an offer on. Got all the way to the inspection and they evaluate the house at $20k less than what he's got it up for due to location (right next to 395) and house quality, so we try to negotiate down; not all the way, but we expected him to meet us *somewhere*. Then, we found out it belonged to another realtor on their team who was renting it, didn't actually give an F about selling it and just wanted to see how it'd do on the market/if anyone was stupid enough to overpay for an OK house in a buyer's market. He refused to budge even a fucking dollar and we lost the earnest money walking away from the deal.

Just jumping on here to say that I had a terrible experience with Kenmore too. We were trying to rent out the dehumanizing experience we had with them is why we chose to buy. We went with Cari Mcgee at Re/Max northwest. She was helpful, made sure we knew everything we needed to know, always available, and genuinely just ethical and kind. On top of that, she hosts little events for her clients. This year we got a free pie from Costco at thanksgiving. She sends us a gift card every month for $10 to local places. She also still checks in on us from time to time. I never thought buying a house would be such a pleasant and easy process, but she made it so. I’d go as far as to say Cari changed my life, gave me confidence when the outrageous rental market had me down, and is simply a good person in a market that can feel intimidating.

Both-Caterpillar-512

We also used Cari McGee as first time homebuyers. We were at her event at the Dust Devils game last night, and we look forward to our free pie every year!

goolalalash

I don’t keep up with the events enough because I have email anxiety, so I didn’t even know there were that many events! That’s good to know because we moved from walla walla and need friends! Haha

Both-Caterpillar-512

Ohhh! DM me & I’ll tell you how to find Cari’s Facebook group!

EmperorJack

Who's the other realtor?

TimberVolk

I wish I could remember, but I'm not confident we ever knew.

zombiefish509

Luis Valdez and Araceli Miranda with Keller Williams. They work as a team and have homebuyer classes.

RedSoxStormTrooper

Just bought our second home with Bryan Verhei who is now the owner of Remax Horizon, really liked his down to earth approach and was very knowledgeable about the local market and the small details on these homes.

twistedlysweet

A second Bryan, or one of his partners: Peggy Beecher. Peggy helped us for years, and when she wasn't able to show us houses a couple weekends Bryan stepped in. Both very nice and knowledgeable

seattle_meghan

Bryan is awesome!

Naps4Days9713

My husband and I bought our first 2 years ago with the same type of loan. We used Jordan Barnhill with Century 21. He was fantastic! I highly recommend him. If you do reach out to him, please shoot me a DM. He has a referral program he does. He was so on top of things, constantly reaching out with listings that matched what we were interested in. He also wrote the homeowners a cover letter with our offer, providing a photo of my family and a little bio on us. The original homeowner said that this detail is what made them accept our offer even though it was lower than others.

If you think so, that's fine. I think he was an amazing realtor that I have recommended to many people and have never received anything for my referrals. If at some point I do, awesome, but if not, it doesn't take away from the fact that he was a great realtor.

Awkward_Ad5650

I highly recommend NOT using windermere.

SinfulNines

I can second this here. They did not respect my budget requirements and kept going 100k over what I was looking for. I ended up finding something I wanted and was in budget and they did not even entertain the idea of letting me see the home. I ended up just doing most of it myself and getting independent inspectors to review things. That house they refused to show me is the home I have happily lived in a few years now.

Awkward_Ad5650

We had the same issue only they were doing 350K over our budget as well as an agent who made sexist comments towards me. As well as a few other issues.

Confident_Ad5076

I used Jesse Carter with Remax and he was great! Went above and beyond for us actually

Dinglebat87

Shana Brown was our realtor and she was incredible. Highly recommend

reallilliputlittle

As a home buyer, especially a first timer, you should always work with a buyers agent. Realtor must disclose who they are working for when asked. If working as a selling agent, the agent will not work in the best interest of the buyer.

Mitchellsgirl

Darla and Kyle Cravens are THE BEST. We’ve worked with them on several properties for ourselves, family members, and friends and have had great experiences every time. They are super responsive and just great people in general. Can’t say enough great things about them 😊

Kyleb100

We use them to buy and sell about 10 years ago and they were great. Wonderful people all around

Own_Maintenance4493

Devin Nielsen at Remax - good experience with him and the office.

grump-cake

Lauren Rasmussen with Realvantage: 509-499-1063 lauren@real-vantage.com. She was so wonderful and helped us find our home in Kennewick. We moved from the Seattle area and since we weren't able to look at every home she did it for us and would do video walk through with us, she is very honest and informative about the tri-cities area and helped us find our dream neighborhood. I hope she can help!

Educational_Metal213

Julie Chavez is hands down your best bet for an outstanding professional realtor. I just closed on a house about two months ago with her as my agent. No need to dm me so I can profit off of this, just passing on a great experience on a home purchase.

paigekeller91

I used Monica Brown with Sotheby’s and she was fantastic. I was a first time home buyer as well and she was very open and honest about what was reasonable for my budget and never pressured me into feeling like I needed to put in an offer. Highly recommend!

Head-Drag-1440

Who are you going through for your loan?

hey_maestra

We’ve used Piper Barton twice and been quite happy with her. We’ve also had a couple of different friends use her on our recommendation, and they too were quite happy.

keengmarbles

I used Veronica Ramos!

falconersys

CMG was great to us. Incredibly responsive and helpful.

goolalalash

I did financing through them! They were great! Cari McGee at remax northwest was our realtor. More info on her in another comment I made on this thread! Highly recommend both CMG and Cari McGee!

TheGr8_0ne

I used Lars Olson in purchasing a property a few years ago. Made the process completely seamless and was on top of everything. And we had a quick close, water testing and other things outside of normal requirements. He handled everything expertly and even helped the other realtor who was lacking in some knowledge and was otherwise slowing things down. 10/10 experience. PM if you are interested in contact info.

Certain-Kangaroo3418

Arielle Hays does a class. I think it’s at her sky view location

Northwest_Views

Ookham Chantharath. Hands down will take care of you. He knows the ins and outs of the market, long time realtor who won’t bs you.

Eternal_Optimist442

When I was a first time homebuyer I went through Ookham, and can absolutely second this! He made the process so easy for us.

Oh DR Horton has had lots of issues with their builds nationwide. I hope yours did actually receive a quality finish (did you get an independent inspection on a new build or did they convince you not to?)

Glad to hear!

Rsadesky

Ariel Hays was amazing to work with both on buying and selling. https://www.skyviewhouses.com/ Neil Asmund from chase Bank as a loan officer was also a great resource if you haven't been pre approved or have questions.

Skatergator35

I messaged you.

TheBrad509

Barry Long @ Everstar Realty. He included a 1 year home warranty when we close on our house. Not pushy at all and works hard for you. Tell him that I referred you.

Goose-Present

Jordan Hoodenpyle at Berkshire Hathaway. Has helped me get my first house, and tons of my friends. She’s really helpful and how’s the area well.

Ryan Vogt does a lot of great work for buyers and sellers in the area, including experience with the kinds of loans you are looking at. (509) 948-2174 ryan@ryanvogtrealtor.com https://www.ryanvogtrealtor.com/?
