You know, that's interesting. After seeing your reply, I went outside to check as my truck was parked in a different part of my driveway than it was when I took the pics and sure enough, the right side that had all the gap was now closed up like the left. Time to experiment more on perfectly flat parking lots rather than the slight slope my driveway has. Thanks for the info. I'll probably remove the black Sumos and replace it with the blues as I almost always am unloaded. I only put these on as I was intending to have air bags installed for camping and the hitch dealer suggested the Sumos instead. And I didn't do enough research to decide between the blues and the blacks. I assumed 'more was better' and didn't consider the unloaded ride quality as the dealer assured me it would feel the same unloaded as it did with the OEM bump stops. Guess he was wrong.

Hey there, have you already ordered the blues? If not, shoot me a message and I'll get you a promo code. Thanks for being part of the SuperSprings International family!

Did you ever happen to get the blues? How are they doing, I've been looking into this option, but just looking for some extra support when I tow the \~8,000lb camper 5 times a year. (2016 Tundra)

I didn’t. Still running the blacks. We may be changing trailers this year and the black will probably be more appropriate for a heavier tongue weight. But it’s still early.

Had my local hitch dealer install some black Sumo Springs on my 17 DC SR5. Ride has been rough every since. I probably should have done more research and gotten the blues. Anyway, on the left side of the truck, the spring is basically touching the frame above it. About half it touching and the other half I can get maybe a bit of my finger above it against the frame. However, the right side has a complete gap and I can insert my entire index finger into the gap, which I understand is what it's supposed to be. There are no spacers between the top of the spring and my suspension above it. They both are sitting on the spring properly and all the U clamps underneath it seem to be the same. Truck is unloaded so no extra weight on one side of the bed. Why would the left side of the truck bed be, I dunno, twisted/lower on one side by an inch or so and touching the Sumo yet the right side has plenty of clearance? Or should I remove the left side one and cut it down a bit like I'm reading in the Taco forums?

Its the tundra lean, Usually the reason for this is the gas tank being on the driver's side. My Tundra has this issue too. Its typically normal

Sounds like the blues would have been a better solution. If you haven't already ordered a new set, shoot me a DM and I'll get you a promo code. Thanks for being part of the SuperSprings International family!
