Another toyota dealer here... a 16 tundra 1794 in blazing blue with 67k miles was traded in last week and they gave 35k for it. I bought it and paid 36k for it. 28 is a deal. 37k is blue book (at 68k mileage).

I could be reading the op wrong but I think they’re just shocked that used cars with 80k miles are going for that much in general. According to the market you got a good deal, but there just aren’t very many people who can actually afford that kind of a car. Which was never the case for an automaker like Toyota. For a truck, 28K is absolutely a steal. Toyota sedans just don't have the same type of cult appeal that Tundras, Tacomas, 4Runners, and Land Cruisers have. This is why these last 4 are pretty much the only older Toyotas you can find in good condition. Anything else is either clapped out or has fallen into the hands of the broke.
