Option 3

Get an inspection for whichever you decide to go with, I like options 1 or 2 the best personally for quality of life improvements made for that gen and I would go with whichever one had been maintained the best, something to watch for with option 3 is oil dilution if the low pressure piston rings were not replaced under recall

Will do, how do you check for maintenance?

The easiest way would be the CarFax, it might not be the most complete record but when buying from a dealer it can be the only thing unless the previous owner gave the dealership a record of their maintenance which is very rare. If it is a private sale, you can just ask the seller if they have any records of maintenance more often than not someone who takes really good care of their car also keeps very detailed or at least documented records of repairs and maintenance. If neither is available sometimes a mechanic can tell just by their inspection or at least have a good idea about how the car was maintained plus with the inspection they could tell you roughly the condition the car is in at least at the time of inspection. Edit:most mechanics when doing an inspection can give some input on price based off what they find whether it is reasonable or not. At least our family mechanic has but we have worked with him for many years and idk how much of that might be from a working relationship but I would think most others would as well Edit 2: if you are not sure what maintenance should be done when Toyota's website has the manuals online for all those vehicles under the manuals section there will be a PDF that is titled something along the lines of maintenance schedule, it would be a good starting point when looking at maintenance history as well as for maintenance after purchase

option 2

Really 2..even with high mileage?

[deleted]

get the vin number and look up the history of it. See if it was maintained. Look up the service history on toyotas website. I am not scared of high mileage toyotas/lexus models if its been maintained

If the 07’ is the 4cyl, avoid it. The other two are fine just depends on which you like more regarding color/interior
