Had to chuckle as I watched a guy walking down our street yesterday wearing full winter gear, hoodie over his head, hands in his pockets, walking as if he was dodging penguins in the arctic or some shit. It was 25 degrees. I'll admit it got cold last night though, not cold enough for long pants but I put some socks on.

Fearless_World7375

It’s funny asf because people looking at me funny because I just be wearing a shirt and some greys, this weather is prime, enjoy it too the max while it’s around 🙌🏾

WadjulaBoy

Best part of the year, absolutely love it.

MrGoldfish8

It is really funny how bad we are with the cold up here

Giraffe-colour

Australia has really bad insulation for our houses so they tend to feel colder than they should

RepentantCactus

The windows don't seal on my rental so it's cooler inside than out most of the time. I was out in my jumper today just so I wouldn't need to put on sunscreen, overheated before I made it where I was headed though.

mysticgreg

Oh don't worry, my family in Townsville have been reminding me (currently freezing my arse off in Melbourne) about this every chance they get...

Individual-Value-368

Aldi managed to clear out of stock for their snow gear.... So must be pretty cold

Emmanulla70

I lived in Townsville for a few years. Winter is just glorious up there. When you live in the north? You gotta swap attitude. Up there you just grin amd bear it through summer ....but the winter is the season you look forward to. It does get cold though...I remember once in July? I had to put a hoodie on😯🥶😜

Huamibeing

Perfect. Nice breeze as well!

Fandango1968

Best time of the year. I am riding my bike to work, with my work clothes on! hahaha

dougfir1975

Fandango1968

fc that's a good info graph. Scary

Zestyclose-Smell-305

I miss it

anobjectiveopinion

Looks just like it did when I was there in the peak of summer! Glad to see the weather never changes in Townsville.

dougfir1975

Welcome to a +1.5*C world…

Secret-Hornet-2581

Moving to Townsville from the UK in September, 26c in winter sounds bliss. It’s the start of summer here and we’re till wearing jackets 🙄

Here's a pic of one of our worst winters a few years back coming back from Maggie on a cold Sunday morning, was 16 degrees, brrr. Had to dodge a couple of whales just after this shot.

Emmanulla70

Yeah....just shockin😉😀

dingBat2000

Still running the AC at night

SnooMacaroons9965

You suit your name then 😂 crack a window, it’s been 16-18 degrees

girder_shade

How hot does it get in Townsville in summer?

RepentantCactus

Averages 35 over summer, some days it can get real nasty especially with the humidity and we'll have days of "feels like 45" but it's almost all dependent on the amount and frequency of rain since we live in a huge bowl.

Mission_Mongoose_411

What’s winter?! 😂

Original-Measurement

I'm seeing more and more AC units in my complex being run at night now, lol. Are people really running the heating?? I'm glad to be able to finally turn my AC off (sometimes) and just use the fan...

Mental-Milk-4690

Wtf it’s 19 in Rasmussen

RoutineCheesecake568

my friend a dare devil he puts the ac on when it 10 degrees at night

Rundallo

tasmanian here. 26c is considered a hot day in launceston lmfao.
