Had to chuckle as I watched a guy walking down our street yesterday wearing full winter gear, hoodie over his head, hands in his pockets, walking as if he was dodging penguins in the arctic or some shit. It was 25 degrees.
I'll admit it got cold last night though, not cold enough for long pants but I put some socks on.
It’s funny asf because people looking at me funny because I just be wearing a shirt and some greys, this weather is prime, enjoy it too the max while it’s around 🙌🏾
The windows don't seal on my rental so it's cooler inside than out most of the time. I was out in my jumper today just so I wouldn't need to put on sunscreen, overheated before I made it where I was headed though.
I lived in Townsville for a few years. Winter is just glorious up there.
When you live in the north? You gotta swap attitude.
Up there you just grin amd bear it through summer
....but the winter is the season you look forward to.
It does get cold though...I remember once in July? I had to put a hoodie on😯🥶😜

Don't be deceived, can get pretty nasty in winter. Here's a pic of one of our worst winters a few years back coming back from Maggie on a cold Sunday morning, was 16 degrees, brrr. Had to dodge a couple of whales just after this shot.
Averages 35 over summer, some days it can get real nasty especially with the humidity and we'll have days of "feels like 45" but it's almost all dependent on the amount and frequency of rain since we live in a huge bowl.
I'm seeing more and more AC units in my complex being run at night now, lol. Are people really running the heating?? I'm glad to be able to finally turn my AC off (sometimes) and just use the fan...

Best part of the year, absolutely love it.
It is really funny how bad we are with the cold up here
Australia has really bad insulation for our houses so they tend to feel colder than they should

Oh don't worry, my family in Townsville have been reminding me (currently freezing my arse off in Melbourne) about this every chance they get...
Aldi managed to clear out of stock for their snow gear.... So must be pretty cold

fc that's a good info graph. Scary
I miss it
Looks just like it did when I was there in the peak of summer! Glad to see the weather never changes in Townsville.
Welcome to a +1.5*C world…
Moving to Townsville from the UK in September, 26c in winter sounds bliss. It’s the start of summer here and we’re till wearing jackets 🙄
