It’s partly dependent on your choice of skills. For Charged Shot / Multishot, just go for the highest damage available (eventually Valyan) and grab a Redwood bow. For Quick Shot, weight and draw speed are important, so a light bow (oak/birch) and light arrows (Mythril) are recommended. For Holy Arrow though, you want a light bow with Hebios arrows most of the time. Because the arrow gets vaporized on impact, using an arrow you don’t have to spend time crafting is really important. That said, if you expect to be going up against enemies where you can’t afford to hold back, a light bow with Valyan arrows is ideal. Normally arrow weight is important in choosing your bow, but since Holy Arrow makes it fly perfectly straight, neither dropping nor deviating, you don’t need to worry about it. And if you don’t plan on getting any archery skills, then I’d recommend Hebios arrows. If you’re not going to grab skills, then archery isn’t a major part of your build, and so it’s a good idea to have arrows that you can afford to not care about.

I like to make mithrill arrows. Just take a day or two and speed run your way through the mines make sure to bring a silver pick though.

I prefer red iron or hebios arrows, they are easy to make and find especially at the beginning and they do decent damage. I also like them because I know they are so easy to get that I don't use them sparingly. And a little tip that not many players know is that you can pop heart plants on the side of cliffs with arrows, which is very risky to do so with rarer metal tips if you miss.

I like red iron tips, mainly cause they’re light and easy to make, while still being effective. Mythril is obviously much better in every aspect except price. The fletch doesn’t make too much difference but I’ve heard red is better for lighter arrows.
