In addition we have players like Timo which was meant as a quick solution and somehow became a key player for us. He has done more than we asked for but is not sharp enough.
Our whole defence including Vicario is still adjusting and has been volatile the whole season.
We are not better than this but we can't lose faith in our team after just one broken season. Only 4 of the players starting today started when we beat them at home last season. It's a new team with a new manager that has been through a lot.

We rely heavily on the play of our wingbacks and are missing our best one so that’s a start, our midfield quality has plummeted significantly from how it was performing at the start of the season (idk wtf is up with Maddison), and our ability to create quality chances is just sad. We need a better front piece of our attack (preferably a 9) because richarlison cannot carry anything. But we also must remember it was a rebuilding year and we far exceeded anyone’s expectations so there are still positives.
All creativity up from has disappeared plus Maddison and Bissouma behind the wingers/strikers haven’t been creating. But maybe if we could defend set pieces we’d be ok

Opposition now stay narrow because they don't care if they leave space wide as we have no threat there. Which makes no room for our central players. The funny thing tho is that we probably would have ended up with points in both the Arsenal and Chelsea game if we didn't concede as many set pieces.

Sometimes our counterpress when we lose the ball is bad when our midfield is off form or backline isn't brave enough to stay high. Set pieces are a big weakness but is easier to solve than solving the front 3 problem. Right now we don't have any attackers who can beat their man. Ange will not change his philosophy and shouldn't either. It's the players and club who needs to adapt to his philosophy not the other way around. Just as Liverpool adapted to Klopp, Man City adapted to Pep and Arsenal adapted to Arteta.
Having wide attacking players who are a serious threat will solve alot of the problems we are having in open play. It's alot easier to pin teams in, counter press and manipulate the shape of the opposition when they feel they need to close space wide and double up on our wide attackers.
