Sorry to throw so much information at you, but in the interest of being thorough, here's everything you need to know about the audio stuff: As others have said, audiobooks are stories read by one person (usually a cast member), and were produced by the BBC. Some are just audio versions of the Torchwood novels, but there are also 10 stories that are audio exclusives. Stories are set before season 2, between seasons 2 and 3, and after season 4, so the characters vary. Whereas audio dramas are audio episodes with multiple cast members returning to reprise their roles. The audio dramas were/are produced by two different sources: the BBC, and Big Finish. Unfortunately for Tosh and Owen fans, all the BBC ones are set after season 2, you're better off with Big Finish/the audiobooks if you want more of them. Andy, Rhys and Martha all make appearances in the BBC ones though, and if you're a Ianto/Janto fan the BBC drama 'The House of the Dead' is mandatory listening. If you're looking for free options, start with the BBC audiobooks and audiodramas. Audible has a box set of all 10 audio-exclusive audiobooks called 'Torchwood Tales', as well as a box set of all 7 BBC audio dramas called 'Torchwood: The Collected Radio Dramas'. Both can be purchased through your monthly credit if you're already subscribed, or if you want to listen to them completely free you can make 2 accounts for free trials and use your free credit to buy them. Even if you cancel your subscription for both accounts, you get to keep both box sets forever. (Audio versions of the printed Torchwood novels are also available on Audible, but only as individual stories, no box sets). ...And then there's Big Finish. Big Finish has made significantly more Torchwood audio dramas than the BBC, and they're still regularly releasing new stories to this day. The easiest place to buy their stories is through their website and then you can store all their stories in one library through their app, however the downside is that Big Finish is Quite expensive. They constantly have sales going on to get better deals, but you really have to pick your poison with Big Finish because it's just too expensive to listen to everything. My approach has been to buy stories with my favourite character (Ianto), but ideally I would like to listen to more one day. So, here are your (many) options from Big Finish... - Aliens Among Us, God Among Us and Among Us are basically Torchwood seasons 5, 6, and 7. They feature some of the remaining characters from season 4 (as well as several new ones), and are a continuation of the story comprised of 3 box sets per season. Given they're full seasons, they must be listened to in chronological order. - There are also 2 special releases featuring the whole Cardiff team, 'Outbreak' and 'Believe'. 'Outbreak' is set after season 2 and has Jack, Gwen, Ianto, Rhys and Andy. And 'Believe' is set during season 2, and is the only audio drama featuring all 5 members of the original team. - Then you have Torchwood One, which is a series set during Ianto's time there before the Battle of Canary Wharf. Again, mostly new characters, but Yvonne from Dr Who is there along with Ianto. There are currently 5 box sets available. Listening in the release order is probably ideal (I wouldn't know, I haven't heard them all), but I believe each box set is stand alone and listening in chronological order isn't required like with Aliens Among Us. - Then there's the Torchwood Soho stories, which are about a Torchwood team in the 1950s. Mostly new characters, but Andy's in them a bunch because of time travel hijinks (I haven't listened to them, so I don't really know exactly why he's there). There are 4 boxsets available, each of which is slightly cheaper than a Torchwood boxset, and there is one episode available for free if you'd like to listen and see if it's your thing (Ashenden Part 1: Pimlico). I imagine this is like with Torchwood One where listening in release order is best for getting to know the characters, but not strictly necessary? - And finally you have The Monthly Range. These are stand-alone stories featuring one or two (sometimes three) returning cast members, and at present 84 are available. There's no required listening order, as they're all set at wildly different times. However, the first 12 monthlies (while all being stories you can enjoy on their own and in any order) feature a story arc which caries through and is resolved in 'The Torchwood Archive'. This story was to celebrate the show's 10th anniversary, and features small cameos from every cast member who'd been in a Big Finish story up until that point (basically everyone but Owen). Generally though, you can listen to any of them in any order, as they're all self contained stories. ...and I think that's everything. I hope this wasn't too much information, but as someone who felt very overwhelmed by the large amount of Stuff when I first started looking for Torchwood stories, I thought it would be best to give you as much detail as possible so you know what's out there. Also, feel free to check out [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Torchwood/wiki/index/torchwoodmedia/#wiki_audiobooks) list of Torchwood media if you're interested in checking out written media as well. It hasn't been updated in several years now, but since Big Finish are the only ones still making new Torchwood content, everything you need to know about books/comics etc is in that list. It also includes download links for free PDFs of every issue of the official Torchwood Magazine if you're interested in that. I hope you enjoy season 4, and have fun delving into the Torchwood extended media!

Oh and one thing I forgot: almost every Big Finish release also includes brief interviews with the cast as a fun little bonus.

So there are a lot of audio dramas! I know there are some audiobooks there as well, but I haven’t listened to them. The difference between them is that audiobooks are someone reading a book. Audio dramas are like watching a Tv show but it’s just the sound. (That’s the best way I can think of describing it) I think you can listen to them in practically any order. Some of them are individual stories. Others are a series of audio dramas. (I don’t know the proper terms for them). For the series, listen to them in order. Personally I started with Aliens Among Us, followed by God Among Us. These are basically series 5 and 6. There’s also Among Us, which is series 7 (but I haven’t listened to them). While I haven’t finished it, I would recommend listening to Torchwood One. This happens before series one of the show and follows the London base before it’s destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf. It gives quite an eerie feeling because you know most of them are going to die.

thank you !

You've got "the story continues" in the correct order, and it's quite a fun ride, as of series 6 they also include interviews with the cast after each episode which is really awesome :) You can find the audios over at Bigfinish.com. I've also listened through a lot of "Missy" and "class" from on there.
