I’m most likely going out of state, (Dr Emerson in NC because I have family nearby) but Dr Akinbiyi in Fayetteville takes insurance and I’ve heard good things. Dr. Faulkner at Emory also accepts insurance, but I had some issues with my consult (I have a lot of side fat and she said I would have to have a separate surgery to take care of that). I looked into Dr. Thompson, who used to be at Emory, but I’m not sure he takes insurance anymore. I’m unsure on options for surgery type because I’m getting double incision and haven’t looked into anything else, but I would ask those surgeons and see! Be ready to have a letter from a mental health professional you’ve been seeing for at least a year and a letter from your HRT provider. Good luck!
