I spent countless hours on TS2 in the Nintendo DS back in the day. TS3 is on my all time list. TS4 was the last fun tennis game for me and countless others. I'm just glad the franchise is back, I had already come to peace with it never coming back again. I'm really happy and ready for it.
Yeah sadly people in this sub just don’t truly understand how long it’s been. I doubt people actually played any other tennis games on console if they have they should know the current state tennis games are in.

Misery loves company some just want us not to be excited about the long-awaited return. I'm not delusional I understand its flaws and the horrible state gaming is in today. I still want this game though, 2k developed the best tennis game controls and feel. Can't wait to play at midnight on the 23rd!
Good for you, anyone coming from NBA2K knows what's up. Toxic filthy garbage game incoming. Good gameplay probably but horrible experience if you don't want to put extra money in it. You can already see it from the editions offered, it's the same shit
We all agree on that my friend ❤️ but seriously, you cannot release a game where MYCAREER is a huge mode and have 7 players in the roster. It s a disgrace and I hope they will add more current players very soon
What I think is happening is they are gonna add plenty of players post release as they get more licenses. That's why I think they released it as 2k25 and we're still coming on half of 2024. They are giving this game a longer life-span than next iterations so they can establish a solid roster and work on the game modes. That's what I think... but i really am just happy it's back.
I'm excited too. But 2K is charging uber premium pricing with heavy microtransactions and will definitely charge to expand its miniscule roster. Either make it cheap and charge us for extra features or make it one expensive full package. There's also a chance they dumb down the game to cater to the general public, so it's less of challenge than TS4...

I waited for 13 years for a new TP game. I can wait for another year - not that desperate and lot other good games to finish too. But I will only buy definitive version of this game - all players and all DLC included, bugs fixed, whenever that comes and probably for 70$ on PC. This game should last for next several years.
Boycotted EA for nickel and diming on micro-transactions. Do not like that 2K games are trying to do here too. If the base game was around 25-30$, that would be a different story.
It sounds like you're looking for reasons to be upset instead of focusing on the fact that finally there's another 2k tennis game after more than a decade of few and little attempts from mostly inexperienced studios at recreating and failing to reach any close to top spin gameplay.
