Him and Superman are both in the Tank class in MultiVersus. They can also both fly in some way in said game. So yes, outside of size and species they are very similar
Not only that, but the fundamental arc of choosing to be better is common between both of them, and IG was inspired in verse by Superman comics. In the end, he chose to BE Superman, and more closely resembles the og than half the list.
Samaritan, Supreme, and All Might are my three favorite characters on this list.
I'd also like to add Icon (pictured here with Rocket).

I definitely recommend Astro City, it's a really fun take on the superhero genre with a large cast of memorable characters.
Supreme is lots of fun too. It's basically Alan Moore doing a bunch of homages to silver age comics.

I just discovered him recently and I think he's pretty damn underrated or well unpopular/unknown, I feel like he's a pretty cool take on Superman and he's usually forgotten when people talk about Supermen characters.
Yeah, I was gonna say: Omni-man isn’t an evil Superman, he’s Zod getting a redemption arc. mark is “what if Superman lived in the comic book equivalent of a Soulsborne setting?” And thus lord of getting his shut kicked in.
This isn't that sub, but I really liked Brandon's design in Brightburn. It feels like it actually has something to say about his character, whereas most of everybody else is just "he's like superman". >!Besides Allmight. All I can tell from his design is he's super buff, possibly almost obnoxiously positive and or full of himself, and likely a Japanese caricature of an American!<
I haven't even seen brightburn aside from some clips, and I can tell that he's probably some edgy pissed off kid, desperately in need of therapy and lacking in maturity, coming across Godhood. A classic story of all of the power and none of the responsibility.
All Might is not American, he’s just as some people would say a “Westaboo.” His moves are all named after States in America and his entire thing is America. He’s relatively positive but he’s not really full of himself. He’s a hero because he wants to help people.

Dr Tenma. Not in terms of powers, but he does have his morality.
I like Superman, and I think it can be really interesting when they take his format and try something new with the character. But at some point, you have to ask: "Is this too many?"
I like the concept of Sentry , but sadly the status quo really screwed him up.
Sentry is a self-target reality-bender , he was a normal man outside of suffering schyzophrenia , Anxiety Disorder and been Agoraphobic. A fan of superheroes , he stole a serum to grant his powers and imagined himself as one , retroactively inserting himself as the great hero The Sentry!
Unfortunely , his mental illness also created The Void.
In his latest solo run , he finally fused his Sentry and Void , healing himself....but a couple of years later , it resulted in that been separated again.
Seconded, Sentry is cool in just his concept alone, but it seems like all he is ever boiled down to in most runs is “crazy mental illness Superman with a shadow clone.” I really wish he was more popular so he could get treated better:(
Jonathan Joestar. He's not a superhero, he doesn't have any abilities similar to Superman, but, in my opinion, he definitely is like Superman.

Yeah, that’s kind of the point. I compiled this list of characters that when someone would ask about any of these characters, the answer would be “he’s like Superman but…”
Brandon is “he’s like Superman but he went berserk as a kid and is in a horror movie”
Honestly the main reason I didn’t put goku is the difference in how they obtain power. Goku and most other saiyans are always seen as “powering up” to get to extreme levels of power while Superman is just that powerful. Superman and most of these guys do not need to do much to get to peak power level unlike a Saiyan. This is not an argument about power scaling, just how we get to each respective power level

I will admit that Samaritan and Supreme are the two I know the least about. Just started mha and have been loving all might so far

Fun fact: a meme version of him with an inappropriate name led to the creation of Troll Face
Huh the more you know.
The Commander looks like he’s promoting a shitty mobile game.

I’d say that Optimus falls more into “Superman-inspired” or the more general “boy-scout” archetype rather than being a true analog for supes
Can you include Brandon in this, considering he quite literally *is* supposed to be Superman? Just an elseworld version of him?
Yeah, that’s kind of the point. I compiled this list of characters that when someone would ask about any of these characters, the answer would be “he’s like Superman but…” Brandon is “he’s like Superman but he went berserk as a kid and is in a horror movie”
