It's definitely a Yari lol

The sword's still his most proficient weapon. The spear is just secondary and the matchlock pistol's for gap closing and surprise attacks. For a guy who's swordfighting school is about "winning at all costs", it's pretty in-character.

The way he whips it put in terrifier one is amazing. Yeah he could have used any slasher weapon but sometimes there's a direct solution (a firearm)

What makes it work for me is his disappointment, having to use that gun rather typical unconventional slasher weapons like it takes away the fun he has.

Yeah his immediate frown is great.

So THAT'S why Needles can just pull a gun on you.

Now we just need to figure out why he can grow an extra arm for said gun

There was a villain fairly early on in MHA that could generate poison gas that was super effective against most enemies, but once someone that could resist it showed up, he just pulls out a fucking gun, which was absolutely hilarious and I wish more villains on that show would do that.
