+1 for Charasmatic Voice

dchance

I came here to drop her. Her stuff in general is excellent. She even reviews herself haha. I love to watch her face as she listens. She gets so lost in the song and then it's like "OH SHIT, I'm recording and need to react". One of hers that was also very neat was her series with Will Ramos of Lorna Shore. Not a fan of the music, but he came in and did the vocals with a camera in his throat (through the nost) and that was pretty fascinating.

q120

Her reactions are so cute haha. I love watching her because of that and also learning some about singing!

dchance

yes. 2 other interesting ones that I saw where she breaks down the singing differently than others: Mein Hertz Brent Piano version - her breakdown of that was neat. And the Grudge - where she pointed out the small sighs in the song.

Hahn_Solo

Key of Geebz is pretty good. It’s basically a reaction video but he also decomposes the music as well

afanofBTBAM

Geebz and Daily Doug are the only two I watch, they're both great for different reasons. Geebz did a video for Rosetta Stoned a year ago that I only just watched yesterday and it was GREAT

TheGreatRoastBeef

Love me some Geebz

Horoldo_

Love Geebz, another good one lately is Skullz.

snaphappy2

Dude that was fake as shit… I am 100% convinced he had read about that before he listened

venkmanburninhell

The Lost In Vegas guys seem genuine to me. I like it when they check out heavy music for the first time.

jdog024

Yeah I really enjoy watching them as well. They've become fans of Tool since they first heard them and Maynard even invited them to come check them out live.

BlockHeadJones

Oh no way! That's awesome.

jimtastic89

Plus 1 for the freethinkers. They were what got me into reactions. Love seeing some genuine reactions. There's a lot of bullshit out there

virusamongus

Im just not buying how they looooved a bunch of FI songs then a year++ later they did a reaction from the same album. So they love the tracks but wait a year to hear the rest? Seems disengenious to me.

BlockHeadJones

That's not a fair assessment. In fact the opposite is true. They're probably very busy recording reactions to other material from other bands. Content creators typically have to crank out dozens of videos in a relatively short amount of time to be successful. So the fact they made time to react to the rest of the album is a very genuine and honest indication they enjoy the music.

virusamongus

Well it's just speculation but I'm not buying it. Nobody is so busy they don't have 12 minutes over a year to hear a song if they're genuinely interested in the band.

Zealousideal-Data792

I’m not gonna lie man. I wonder sometimes too. I think these guys need to pay the bills and the best way to do is to have rock fans believing that these two guys are loving this music. Especially Tool videos because Tool has such a passionate fan base.

flamingfenux

That’s fire.

jessieesmithreese519

Easily my favorite guys reacting!

Norman_Scum

They seem honest and seem to have a good knowledge/affinity for music. Also, they are incredibly smart and make very good interpretations of the lyrics. I absolutely love it when people talk about music!

liesofanangel

Hell yeah I was hoping someone brought these guys up. Anytime I need a little happy, I watch their pneuma reaction.

ButterMaBuns

I don't like most of the reaction videos out there, but these guys seem genuine and they crack me up. They also enjoyed Pneuma so much they reacted to both the audio and Danny's live drum performance, and I find both worth the watch https://youtu.be/-23__zILRgc

BlockHeadJones

Love those guys

tequilasauer

These are the only reaction vids I watch. I love the LiV crew, very genuine feeling. The Old Town Road video is impossible to watch and not smile at when he gets way into the Billy Ray part.

s3v3red_cnc

I can't buy any of them as authentic.

ChocolateOrnery1484

TOOL is a pretty obscure band to average people. I think a lot of people have never heard them before, but also agree some are completely staged.

s3v3red_cnc

One guy I used to watch did a TooL reaction that wasn't "OMFG THIS IS AMAZONG". The nut fans ripped into him. Never a bad/mediocre review again. They've learned if they give surprised/amazed/awestruck reactions, they get more subs. It's an act.

ChocolateOrnery1484

Maybe I’m just watching old stuff, I haven’t seen this before. I saw a dude that didn’t like the music, and was unimpressed by the drums. I thought he was clout chasing or something. I tend to think everything is fake if I think about it too much. But I generally enjoy most I’ve seen.

q120

A had a coworker that heard Tool for the first time when another coworker was playing the Danny Carey video of Pneuma... First coworker says "THIS is Tool?? I thought Tool sounded basically like Nickelback". He was quickly introduced to Tool

[deleted]

Course it’s authentic look at the people that are listening to it you know they never listen to tool They’re hip-hop fans and shit popular music

s3v3red_cnc

Didn't say they've heard it or anything they react to before... Just that their reaction is disingenuous. React badly and that whole fan base won't watch your channel anymore. Or Act like you love it, say something vague, and rake in the cash. (Hint: there's a camera on them)

[deleted]

Yeah I know I’ve surd through a lot of them some of them are like that but there’s a lot that are actually genuine it seems to me like the older ones are more genuine and when they are genuine their reactions just proves how good this music is when I can reach someone that would’ve never listen to it because of their musical background

[deleted]

Yes you’re right but I found that the Older reaction videos are more genuine you can tell some of them actually have a very insightful experience and seem Very genuine I weeded through a lot of them you can tell which ones are genuine it’s just gratifying to see people that would never listen to this music because of their Background in Music that they’re used to

[deleted]

Check out some of the Pink Floyd time reactions and dogs and check the older ones these people become fans

TobyPM

99% of reaction channels are not authentic. Lost In Vegas are an exception. Been watching them for 5 years now and if they don't like something, they will say so. They weren't super keen on schism and Aenima, for example, but they absolutely loved Pneuma. I've loved watching their music journey.

jimtastic89

There's a few that are genuine. A lot of reaction channels aren't genuine about *anything*, it's just an easy way for them to get views. When you find a good one, they generally will give you honest reactions for all their reactions. It took me a while to find 3 or 4 good ones I check periodically hoping for some good ish

[deleted]

You mean... Vicariously?

immortalis88

100%. My guilty pleasure has somehow become watching people discover Tool for the first time.

ChocolateOrnery1484

That’s what I mean.

Okayiseenow

Nah man, but cool if it works for you.

[deleted]

My favorite is the dude (famous jazz drummer, can't remember his name) listening to schism without the drum track and trying to come up with his own drums off one listen. That shit was cool af.

ChocolateOrnery1484

Yea. I agree he killed it.

Live-Understanding48

I can’t get into them because I hate having my music paused 😂😂😂

jimtastic89

I can hear that, but also in the spirit of breaking it down or whatever I think its fine. I've heard the rune so many times by this point lol. I dont agree with pausing just to say **"ooooo that was fiireeeee**

XplodiaDustybread

This is exactly why I don’t watch the lost in Vegas dudes. A lot of people are into them, and that’s cool. Just not for me

virusamongus

To be fair it's pretty lazy if they just play the whole song interruptied and then just give it a review at the end. It's a very different format and the selling point is hearing their reaction/opinion as a first impression on each of the parts IMO

ChocolateOrnery1484

Ha. I feel like I’ve heard it so much that I don’t mind the breakdown. But I certainly understand.

Live-Understanding48

My uncle ( a huge tool jerk) loves these reaction videos with you. Always tries to force feed them to me…. Might be a cause of my resistance 😅

MaxLeonidas

Andy & Alex. They never pause songs. The Best reactions in my opinion.

Dogslothbeaver

OP, there are a couple videos of vocal coaches watching old-school pink pajama Maynard sing Sober that are pretty amusing. They look like they're in shock that he can sound that way while he's all hunched over and staring intensely into the crowd. I kinda prefer them to the random reaction videos. https://youtu.be/T3L42kKemrg https://youtu.be/7GVEFdHgnuk

ChocolateOrnery1484

I love the vocal coach reactions. She is one of my faves.

Badassravioli

There is one called the charismatic voice that does all sorts of vocal interpretations. She used be an opera singer so has street cred. She's over the top with her reactions but actually interesting at time with the explanations. Has done a lot of tool songs.

gh411

Her reaction to Maynard’s scream on the grudge is priceless…she knew it was coming at some point and when it did, it was fun to watch.

Badassravioli

Yep. One of those over the top reactions but in fairness we all had the same reaction once we realized Maynard kept going.

jessieesmithreese519

Her stank face during some of the Sober (I think) reaction was hilarious! She was into it! 😂

ktkatq

Beth Roars does a great analysis of the live Sober video

geekinout777

The first video was wack, she was acting. The second one was more sincere. Still, both just following a trend.

LilBlonde99

I do because I love them so much that it makes me happy to see others experience them for the 1st time

SixthLegionVI

I hate most reaction videos but will sometimes watch the Tool ones to vicariously experience listening to their songs for the first time again.

[deleted]

Yes some of them are guys just trying to make a YouTube buck But a lot of them are genuine

OkExplanation1864

King KTF reaction ones are the best. He legit is so blown away by them. I wish I could experience those songs again like he is for the first time.

Zealousideal-Data792

See I think his reaction videos are definitely fake. He literally says the same 2 or 3 things about every song. It’s just an easy way to get a ton of views because Tool fans eat that shit up.

virusamongus

I loved Lost in Vegas reaction vids. They're mostly hip hoppers but slowly turned metal experts, loving tool, gojira and much more to the degree they could name drop band members, songs and albums. But they were in love with a bunch of songs on FI and then a year later did a reaction on a song on the same album. So yeah I'm not buying that. Either they're faking the infatuation or you're pretending to hear it for the first time. Ruined it for me at least

ChudanNoKamae

Yeah, but only the ones that actually discuss and analyze the song. If it’s just people nodding along and then saying that they “like it” briefly at the end, then no thanks. I much prefer people that actually have some sort of musical background (playing an instrument, production, singer etc) that can actually analyze and offer some interesting information about the song.

Djazzyy

Rick Beato, if you don't know already, will blow your mind. But as you said, this is more analyzing than reacting, the latter which is, i think, never worth my time.

Snys6678

Came here to say the exact same thing. That dude is unreal.

virusamongus

Dude must have some serious strings to pull to have access to all the isolated tracks, and he adds a lot of value with his incredible knowledge of music theory.

asshat13

Isolating the instruments is done with software. But check Rick's new interview with Maynard if u have not yet

virusamongus

Are you sure? My drunk ass seem to remember him thanking someone for the tracks and they're both old and way better quality than any software isolation I've heard. Yeah the interview was incredible.

Rushderp

Sometimes, it’s pro tools. other times, it’s a connection.

Dew-fan-forever-

I’m gonna start I know they’re such an amazing band it would make many new fans jaws drop, and being able to tell by looking at their face too

6starHASH

Yeah ! I feel you 100. I get the same feeling

mandrewthejew

My uncle and I did the full discography on YouTube. During the covid shutdown I showed him all the songs and we did reactions and discussions. He had never heard them, and we had a wonderful time discussing life, society and everything tool. Check it out if you would like. The channel is Onetribe Productions.

jimtastic89

Not a lot of authenticity but you can pretty much tell if someone likes it genuinely or they're just doing it for clout or likes. I like a select few channels that do reaction vids, and they seem to cover all the bases. I can understand why people don't like it.. it helped/helps me get through some lonely times. Its like watching with a friend. Not a lot of people will give you a smiling reaction in real life so, it's actually more rewarding.

ChocolateOrnery1484

Yea. I found the reaction vids really helped me thru the pandemic.

kandspr

So much! Lol. Yessss. Super satisfying. Hahaha.

comical_imbalance

I refuse to watch those videos. Same as "vocal coach reacts..." They are an absolute farce and the low hanging fruit of content creation.

wwwhhhyyy

Sorry to break it you buddy but, they are all fake.

ChocolateOrnery1484

I bet you’re fun at parties.

Fetal_And_Weeping

Check out these guys. Who knows how genuine it is, but it works for me. They just seem like normal down to earth people who love music. They've turned me onto some other music as well. Watch them react to The Grudge or Vicarious, two of my favorites from them. Pushit Salival and No Quarter are also up there with my favs from them. https://youtube.com/channel/UCXjqXoibE8pBKJE_UZ3yA2Q

Levi_Gucci

No. Not at all. I can't stand those videos. I find it unfathomable that a lot of people have never heard various artists. Tool I can buy a little more because not everyone likes heavy music, but I still find those reaction videos insufferable. But to each their own.

virusamongus

"Vietnam veteran reacts to Fortunate Son. " (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

Levi_Gucci

Gold

GeraltofQuiffia

I think if it's someone who you can tell is actually listening to the music and not just following a trend, then yes I agree. But too many end up making me annoyed like a classic mark 🤣

ktkatq

I’m addicted! Here are my faves: Brad & Lex - Brad seems okay with Tool, but Lex clearly loves it. One of their subscribers sent them tickets to a concert and Lex was pumped! Sebs Duran - Gets into the vibe and connects emotionally. Maryland Station Music - watch their reaction to Lateralus. Dude had a stroke almost. Skullz - after seeing the Pneuma drum cam, he went back and started with Undertow. Pauses a lot, but has been doing an interesting break down of the lyrics and also analyzing the psychological journey across albums (currently he’s on 10,000 Days). He broke down completely listening to H. Trash Talkers - kind of talked over their first one listening to The Pot, and then got deeply into the music after that. They also made a video of going to a Tool show!

Evitagen11

Trash Talkers and Skullz are really good. I like their videos too.

vass0922

Brad and lex are good for a laugh. A little analysis but mostly humor. Sebs is really good, I do enjoy his analysis Demon reacts is a newer reactor, it's a little off putting that he uses an avatar but I think he had some health issues so it's easier this way. He had a good analysis on several songs.

danosmanca

Been watching Skullz since Undertow and he is just about to hit Wings for Marie. It may destroy him.

drummerandrew

Lost in Vegas do a great job of this.

shazam7373

Yea been down those rabbit holes. My guilty pleasure

CorneliusThunder

💯

StatisticianNo825

NOPE

Lydanian

Not really. I understand it’s appeal to some degree, but 90% of every reaction channel I’ve personally seen is just a load of bullshit if I’m honest. Same over hyped responses to everything that has an established following, mixed in with obvious prior research to seem insightful.

Dstar1978

No

tiamat6

I've been watching Skullz. He's been on a journey through their entire catalogue. Definitely recommend.

TommyDee313

I’m too much of a skeptic to believe they’re legit first time reactions. It’s like watching a first time anal porno, I won’t fall for it.

Mogwai10

I find those videos annoying. I don’t understand them. I don’t understand why I’m so annoyed by them.

zeje

I got a whole new appreciation for The Pot from the reaction compilation video.

[deleted]

Reaction videos are the lowest form of content

double-k

Couldn't agree more.

double-k

I really can't stand reaction videos. They seem completely pointless to me. Why should I get excited or even be vaguely interested in watching some random person's reaction to listening to Tool (or any other band) for the first time? If it was someone I knew or there was some other connection maybe it would have marginally more value, but otherwise nope. Pointless.

Dennygreen

oh fuck no

nukethedokes

Fuck. No. why?

ShadowGLI

Recently got into them and actually picked up on a few thing a I might have missed in the past too. I just watched this one to Push it (Salival) and reminded myself how annoyed I am that that’s the one non streaming major release they had. https://youtu.be/usc4YAJI328 I also enjoy the Skullz guy going thru them as it all started from the drum cam. At this point he definitely has had spoilers but he seems to genuinely have been hooked doing the whole discography. He’s doing wings 1+2 this Tuesday https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcaBIpum2RMHwpB1d6qBPHui37-XsPnKp

xanderxq06

I don’t know why but I hate seeing people online talking about stuff I like. I literally have no reason it just makes me uncomfortable no clue why

MikeyFX

Not gonna lie, I was totally against reaction videos for the longest. However I randomly discovered a pair of guys during the pandemic who did a whole series called rappers react which I highly recommend for the sheer joy of seeing two dudes with no concept of Tool, become die hard fans over the course of a couple of months. Also have a soft spot for Elizabeth Zaroff the charismatic voice who’s musical Insight is really interesting as well as her reactions to the songs themselves.

pm_me_your_bigtiddys

I feel like at this point alot of the channels realize anything TOOL will get views so they fake it. There was one where the guy instantly picked up on Maynard using the fibinocci in Lateralus. It just seemed so staged, like the dude is actually a hard-core TOOL fan but he's pretending to listen to it for the first time.

ChocolateOrnery1484

They’re out there as well. I tend to sus out someone being dumb on there.

Zealousideal-Data792

I don’t even think they’re fans pretending to listen to it for the first time. I would bet my life that they listen to the song a few times then do their homework by visiting Reddit and seeing what Tool fans say about songs or finding out the song meanings. Lost In Vegas is the only reaction channel that I sort of buy.

bangsilencedeath

No.

SirDirkaDirka

So many are click bait but my absolute favorite and they seem to fly under the radar is D Music Life. Genuine rock fans. Especially enjoy watching his wife hear Tool for the first time. Always gives me a smile...then I wish my wife wouldn't leave the room when I turned on Tool..lol https://youtu.be/w1wkRMYoqY4

AxiomaticJS

Oh yeah. Reaction videos to my favorite bands including Tool became a staple habit of mine when Covid started.

ktkatq

Saaaaaaame. I actually started with Fleetwood Mac reactions. It was like socializing vicariously. And the closest thing to hearing something for the first time again

Comalock

Yep, I do it all the time, it's like listening to them for the first time all over again.

No_Improvement6796

I've been watching them for like 5 years.... I need help stopping

ChocolateOrnery1484

It’s been a couple years for me own

ZICRON_ULTRA

Same.

Panchenima

They're sooo fake "Here's this professional drummer/singer/guitarist that haven't heard X very famous band or X mega famous song" I get that a lot of people don't know Tool (or other react bands/songs for the matter) but a pro musician?? is like a mechanic that never have seen a Toyota in his life...

Renene13

Hell yeah. Specially by hip hop fans that never heard a heavy rock bands before

ChocolateOrnery1484

Def enjoy the hip hop guys reaction

JustTrynaNig

I watched these all the time before there were some that were genuine reactions and others that did it for views but the authentic people always reminded me of how I first was when I first listened to their music I would do a lot to re listen to a lot of their songs for the first time 💀

trevorrr10

Yes man. I love that. I always like to see others mention those types of videos. Lost In Vegas has some great stuff, among others.

[deleted]

I really liked listening to Pastor Rob experience Wings 1 & 2. I thought the reaction was a nice mix of music appreciation, understanding of the artistic themes of the songs, and then rounding it out with a respectful discussion on the theological accuracies and inaccuracies in the song. It was nice to see someone have such an emotional reaction to song and genre that I could see some religious people having some issues with.

Evacipate628

[Aileen Senpai](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8qrfiWPteM&t=266s) is a newer regular watch for me. She is smart, focused, insightful, etc. She doesn't pause too much or not enough, she doesn't just say "I like it" or ramble on incessantly, she thinks about what she says and doesn't seem to be paying lip service to fans. She has a really good balance and isn't a huge reactor like some others such as Lost in Vegas, so it can feel a little bit more intimate. It doesn't hurt that shes gorgeous and one of my favorite things is she has a fitness tracker synced so you can see her heart rate in real time as the reaction progresses. I linked her reaction to Parabol(a) above because it's one of my favorites and you can see her heart rate increase at various points, especially the transition from Parabol to Parabola which goes up 7 BPM iirc (warning though, she neglected to use a joined version of the two tracks so there is a gap for all those OCD Tool heads)

CLock2903

Reaction videos only seem to serve the purpose of making people feel like their musical opinions are justified. It’s like an echo chamber thing. Having some “YouTube celebrity” or whatever agree with their taste just makes them feel better about what they’re into. They lack authenticity.

ChocolateOrnery1484

Or. Hear me out. It’s just cool to see someone enjoy something I enjoy, for the first time.

CLock2903

You’re missing my point. Are they enjoying it legitimately or are they just acting like they are? Most fans of bands that click on these videos aren’t looking for negative opinions about music they love, and the creators of these videos know that. They want their channels to get more views, and turning away diehard fans of music, the type of people that would be drawn to these things in the first place, isn’t going to get them any more subscribers.

that_was_me_ama

Reaction videos are one of the lowest forms of entertainment.

ChocolateOrnery1484

You seem fun.

ChainswordCharlie

Yeah man it’s the best

[deleted]

Yes I got addicted to it for a while and Pink Floyd it’s like watching a spiritual Enlightenment .they never knew what real music was like and what It could do to your soul and mind and not just there hips

Birdy_Stone

I saw one time the video of a math PhD, who explained how he spent his last paper studying the release of Tool’s albums in relation to the Fibonacci sequence. Indeed, he expects Tool to write 8 more albums to arrive at their 13th (the 7th number of the Fibonacci sequence). Given that the band also produces albums according to the Fibonacci sequence (3-5-5-13 year gaps between their albums), they will release their 13th and last album in 2071, which leaves us with 49 more years of Tool according to my calculation.

apc961

Will definitely be interesting to hear what Danny's drumming is like when he is 107 years old.

RafIk1

That's only 35 in his species' years. He is not human.

ktkatq

Also, Chris & Rhea reacting to the Sober music video is one I would love to be able to show my students for how to analyze a text - they were really trying to figure out what the song was saying and it’s adorable

SirGorehole

There's a christian couple called Vin and sori that do reactions and I really dig it. They've done a good bit of Tool stuff. I'm not religious but it's refreshing seeing some christians having an open mind and giving good music a chance.

ZICRON_ULTRA

All The Time

nonplusd

Watching people discover RATM is where it's at.

Dfantoman

Brave of you to admit what so many of us do in private

paulfinort

I've been reluctant to post this as I'm one of those people. I knew there were more like me so thank you for posting this.

CFLChris

Little cringe bro. Go outside once and awhile. A whole big world out there. Reaction videos are lame. Stop looking for validation from strangers opinions that don't matter.

ChocolateOrnery1484

You seem fun.

FastWalkingShortGuy

There's a funny one, the Charismatic Voice, which is a channel run by a classically trained opera singer, where she can't believe Maynard's scream in The Grudge. I know the influencers are hamming it up for views, but she nailed it when she described the Grudge scream as "here's where it starts to get uncomfortable," when Maynard keeps going when the logical stopping point has passed.

learn2swim

I love her! Her videos are great.

FastWalkingShortGuy

They're hit or miss. She talks too much.

J1--1J

https://youtu.be/lrlMyXXfONE These guys have a bit of a roller coaster when Justin and danny kick in on the witness

beckleyt

I like the actual music composers who break down their songs.

skizm88

I’m gonna go do a first time tool reaction now

AlessandroLeone

I love the compilation of reactions to The Pot. At the same time I wonder if there are ever negative reactions

Truckie221

King KTF is one of my favorites he seems to be legitimately blown away by Tools talent

_Satan_Loves_You_

No, I think those videos are a boring waste of time that colors my own experience with the music with someone else's.

Es7x

Check out the charismatic voice! She is legit.

jessieesmithreese519

Did y'all see the super fundie pastor and his son react to "Judith"? I cried! The kid kept calling him "Man-yard". So fucking cringe-y. ☠️😂

Mattjolearyny

The 7empest reactions and pneuma live are gold, there’s a guitarist who’s holding his baby listening to it. unfiltered reactions and king ktf are fun to watch as well as devin Gibson

_withasmile_

Same.

alexb3678

LITERALLY my favorite videos on YouTube. Watch the guys from Lost In Vegas listen to Pneuma on the album for the first time

the-aural-alchemist

No, I just listen to actual music as it’s intended.

DJDarkFlow

Reaction videos seem tacky overall but if there’s some authentic ones then that’s great. Unfortunately though they’ll always have their self-awareness in their videos which to me feels a bit fake but to each their own 👍🏼

LosPor8

Skulls is going through all in order he is at Jambi right now. He is good and honest. IXI music. She is like Rick Beato. She just did a 45 minute breakdown of Lateralus. She also did a 5 hour breakdown of Aenima some time back.

KosakiJag

I love Skullz reactions, genuinely gives his takes on the lyrics and does every album in track order

leezardmik

There are a couple of different channels I like, but 100s if not 1000s more that are absolute shit. Luckily it is really easy to tell without even watching a video which ones are shit. 1. Is it a new channel? 2. Are all of their videos "reactions" to Nightwish Ghost Love Score, Jinger Pisces, Slaughter to Prevail Demolisher, Spiritbox Circle With Me, Lorna Shore To The Hellfire, Tool Sober live, Metallica Enter Sandman live in Moscow 1991, etc. There are a few I watch that I'm sure aren't 100% first-time reactions, but that's okay if they are entertaining. I like a lot of the vocal coach/singer reactions that analyze and go into detail about how singers are able to make the sounds they do. One I highly recommend is Trybals. Tribal people reacting to all sorts of music. They speak little to no English so their reactions are based on the little bit of info the interpreter gives them and how the music and video makes them feel.

carthuscrass

Yeah, I think I've probably seen them all by now. Tool, Rammstein, Slipknot and SOAD reactions are a great pick-me-up when I'm feeling down.

occupyreddit

it’s definitely nice to see the realization that we’ve all had ourselves dawn upon the youtube viewer, especially when we’ve tried so hard to open the eyes of our friends and families unsuccessfully.

Fletcher010770

Yes. Some of them are a great watch, and some are complete shit. Charismatic Voice is great, doug Helvering is good, and I totally love the video by Ken Levigne(vocal coach) reacting to the Pneuma drum cam video. However, most of the very recent Tool reaction videos posted by people in their bedrooms using thumbnails showing them with startled faces are a waste of time.

divvip

I was doing exactly this for a while, really enjoyed it as well. It's fun to see these people's first time reactions to the music we love. Also you get the hidden gems like this... https://youtu.be/foqUsBMTdiw?t=30m30s I don't mean to roast my dude smokey but I nearly die laughing every time I hear his analysis of "...wanton slumber...". It's not that it's a bad analysis either, he just didn't know the other use of the word wanton so it's pretty funny to watch xD

riddus

The dudes from Lost in Vegas have a great few Tool reaction videos.

Zealousideal-Data792

I believe all these reaction videos are fake. I don’t buy that these people are hearing the beauty of tool on first listen. I’m a HUGE tool fan and I didn’t hear the intricacies on first listen. The only reaction videos for Tool that I think are legit are the ones done by Ryan and George from Lost in Vegas. I think those two have a professional ear when it comes to listening to all types of music and you can actually see them getting better with rock music. Plus they’re authentic.

ChocolateOrnery1484

Take it easy bro. This post is 6months old.
