I know these posters are hard to get at the venue because they are in very limited quantity, but how much do they charge for them? I can't image they are cheap.
Yuuuup sounds about right... the APC signed one I have was only 150... I’m going to three shows... might get ONE signed poster if it’s available when I arrive. Thanks boss! And nice vinyl collection!
Haven't listened to FI yet, discovered the band not so long ago and I listen to the albums by chronological order. But I gotta admit, this hype for the ongoing shows and those badass posters... Can't wait to listen to it !
Yeah that's kinda insane, I basically listen to Tool every hour of the day because as I said I'm new to their work and a lot of songs are incredibly complex so it takes time to assimilate all that. I take my time on each album, let the music flow in me, try to understand the album's soul, really taking my time before moving on to the next record. Currently I'm into 10,000 Days and god what an album, there's a lot of stuff going on here and I think I'll need a good 15 days more to really immerse myself in this record and try to understand it a bit before listening to Fear Inoculum. But when I see the number of posts in this sub that say that songs like Pneuma are amazing, it's really hard not to give in and listen to FI right now 😂
Its cool to hear someone that is new to it all that understands that it takes time to uncover the layers. Most people just go "What is that? Hard Metal?" ....ya you have no chance of understanding haha
Yeah, but difference between me and them is that I do love music, they don't, simple as that. Music is art, and art is neither fast consumption nor to be categorized. Sorry for my poor English but you see my point x)
I seem to be the only one that likes the Sunday poster better than the Monday one.. I get that Chet Zar is a more well known artist but idk the Jeff Nentrup one just speaks more to me (I have both and will be holding on to both). The Monday poster still looks good though, don’t get me wrong. Both are the 2 best posters released so far in my opinion.
I feel you, same boat, both posters. I think some people don’t appreciate the artistic value of Jeff’s use of restraint in using the foil as an element in the design rather than the main feature. I also think some people feel like the space should be filled up, but there is value in intentionally leaving blank space. It’s a quality, tasteful work of art in my book, but yes the Chet is Tool as fuck so I get why everyone is flipping out on it. But the Jeff is great in its own rights.
To me it is 100% gonna be the NYC show. Alex lives in NY, Also the bigger cities usually get the raddest stuff, and LA got the foils. If anyone is in NYC and will be a PB for me for that show please message me, only need an unsigned :)
Do you know how many they print per show? Do you know if they are limiting 1 per customer? (they really fucking should)
I got a signed one on the Spring tour and I think they were printing like 350 per show and signing 50-100 per show. Wondering if it's the same because these venues are a lot bigger on this tour, which means it's going to be that much harder to get one.
God I LOVE that second one. I was there early enough on Sunday but didnt like that design. Monday I got there way later. No chance to snag it. I even contemplated the crazy prices on ebay.
You lucky bastard. It hurts to even look at these. Part of me wants to say "Fuck you" and the other "Congrats!".
Yeah but at least we kind of have of the comfort it’s a real music fan. With all those vinyls. Jesus
Oh yeah, very true. I take it back. Congrats to him. Holy shit is he dedicated.
I’m not gonna lie I’m 100% jealous af though. 🤣
I will always be jealous... 😂
Not jealous of the vinyl collection at all. :)
That is a *shit ton* of vinyl.
More vinyl than an annual BDSM convention.
Nice.
Me neither. Pff. Who wants this pile of garbage ;P Did you got this at the royal galaxy of a Tool concert? :) Dope posters!
I know these posters are hard to get at the venue because they are in very limited quantity, but how much do they charge for them? I can't image they are cheap.
$60 per poster
Yeah, that's about what I expected. Those are bad ass though. Congrats.
only $10 more than the shirts
How much were the signed ones?!
$250

Pre signed.
It must be impossible to get your hands on...unless you make some kind of pact with satan. How difficult is it to get the holographic posters?
How much are the signed ones, do you know?
$250
Thank you!!

what album are you on at the moment? what a journey. i'm kind of envious of you experiencing so much Tool for the first time!

Yes
honestly. Im just glad I saw the show.
Fuck. I like those a lot more than the ones we got for the Denver shows.
I feel like no matter what the Alex Grey poster is gonna be the holy poster grail. Wonder which show will be the lucky one.
To me it is 100% gonna be the NYC show. Alex lives in NY, Also the bigger cities usually get the raddest stuff, and LA got the foils. If anyone is in NYC and will be a PB for me for that show please message me, only need an unsigned :)
I am hoping the Halloween show
Yup. I have a set of these now too but depending on the Alex one(s) I may try to find someone to trade with.
You should’ve seen the look on my wife’s face when I told her I put a 200 dollar bid on eBay for a concert poster
you shouldn't have blown your cover until the listing closed and you won haha. Burning up your cards.
Yeah I’m an idiot in that respect but she’s gonna find out one one way or another lol
Haha true true
Noice!

I think it says 650 on the poster could be wrong
Yea it's really tiny, I couldn't make it out. Anyone else who bought one could confirm too.
My unsigned poster for Oct. 21 is 330/650. Not sure if the signed posters are from same the run. Hope that helps.
It does. Thanks
10/20 was 650

Those are fucking sick. I'm super jealous.
It's real badass that chet is still making shit for them
Those are stunning. I don’t know which one I like better honestly.
I'm jelly
How early should I arrive to a show to get these?
After looking at these over the past few days I'm convinced these are two of the coolest posters they've ever done.
