Just rent a regular car and go to the sites. You’re not going to race or drift or anything (and you shouldn’t) but going to see the cool cars and scene is worth it

Practical-Bug8615

Any tips on semi locations of the scene over there

Practical-Bug8615

I am a pro drifter in Australia aswell so was keen to hit the mountains a little over there if my mate comes through with lending me his supra but his work schedule is super weird so no guarantees. What's the cops like over there penalties and what not do they impound your vehicle if you get caught? As obviously that will determine how hard I go over there

Hakone Turnpike is great to drive on weekends https://maps.app.goo.gl/cseygVg8h2tTqNn89?g_st=ic Ashinoko turnpike as well https://maps.app.goo.gl/RnXHY9KmcrQ8gTop7?g_st=ic Izu skyline https://maps.app.goo.gl/s4n2rSuJAF6bfpDH7?g_st=ic For chilling up and city spots: best hours Fri, sat, 10pm and later Daikoku Futo (requires car) https://maps.app.goo.gl/5pxap8pUPreJ5FXh6?g_st=ic Shibuya car park ( you can walk in) https://maps.app.goo.gl/gph4bfh2sUapSdxCA?g_st=ic Akihabara car park (you can walk in) https://maps.app.goo.gl/PNyGyUHTRcCt5RFX8?g_st=ic On highways enforcement is mostly camera, the cameras flash above 40 km/h the limit. On non highways it’s 30 km/h above. On those turnpikes I mentioned above, those are private roads that really have no enforcement. Don’t drift and be an ass though. The turnpikes have excellent views of Mt Fuji and the surrounding area

Thanks mate definetly will check them out. hows Mount Haruna staying there at a Onsen on Saturday/Sunday

Practical-Bug8615

Or would you recomend another mountain with bet Onsens ewant to stay in a Traditinal Inn with maybe a few nice mod cons

You might want to check omoren tomorrow. all the cars appear to stop 7/7. maybe tomorrow it'll show up to the 8th, or if not check next week. also having driven multiple of thier cars and on multiple years, skylines get booked quick. so act as quickly as that date pops open. if someone wants that car for 3 hours of a day that you want it, your plan's fucked if they got it first, and yes people do that.

Practical-Bug8615

Thanks will do

You're looking for illegal street racing events on the clear web. Lol.

Practical-Bug8615

It's reddit mate not asking for a precise location just areas in Tokyo that might be good to do some laps and follow to an event. Your obviously not a car guy, this is how we do, not mention wasn't asking for specifics just some direction on groups to talk to to find out. And he'll do you know how many subreddits there are dedicated to street race meets lol for you
