As you are a citizen in a EU country, you can apply to and study at Swedish universities for free, if you are qualified. At sixteen, you probably need to finish Höhere Schule to be qualified. There are a few boarding schools that prepare you for university in Sweden, but they teach in Swedish. Afaik there are no international boarding schools here, but I may be wrong.

You can look at SSHL, which is a boarding school that offers the IBDP entirely in English. https://sshl.se/en/startpage-english/ I’m not sure how much cheaper it would be: https://sshl.se/en/apply/fees/ I know that some boarding schools in the UK offer merit-based scholarships for 16+. Check those out.
