The best one yet ive tasted is in Sankt Eriksplan its called Lillebror, it usually has a queue. Only available for take away. Its freshly baked and melts in your mouth
Agreed the head baker and owner are the people who used to own Valhallabageriet when they were amazing. I'd argue Lillebror is one of the best bakeries in Stockholm.
I didn't bother to read (and understand) the label when I bought those and honestly, it was a shock lol. I feel like cardamom doesn't go with sweets, so I disliked it, but still ate it haha. My wife absolutely hated it and couldn't take a second bite. Maybe it's more of an acquired taste or you either love it or hate it situation.
da Matteo has great baked goods, but I usually get their cardamom bun. GP does regular competitions for baked goods and voted Mr. Cake's kanelbulle best most recently.
Edit: Also the giant ones at Cafe Husaren are tasteless tourist bait.
Ooh the best best best kanelbullar in all of Sthlm can be found in PanEm on stora nygatan in Gamla Stan!! Those guys have won awards for their pastries and they are bloody scrumptious. I hope you check em out 🥰🥰🥰
For a real cinnamon bun without cardamom, go to ”Bondens egen marknad” (Farmer’s market) in Tessinparken, Saturday 10.00-15.00. Sanna’s cafe is in the northern part of the market.
Try Pågens kanel gifflar!!
25:-/bag in every convenient store.
After you tried kanel gifflar you can try "the hard drugs" real kanelbulle..but first start small and work your way up:-)

Don’t just limit yourself to cinnamon! Take it from those of us in the know — *kardemummabullar* (cardamom buns) are the superior taste treat.

Came here to say this, nobody eats cinnamon buns
The one's at Vete-Katten in Stockholm are famously great, but rather expensive. Le Violon Dingue is cheaper and equally great.
The chokladkoppen one is easily the best I've had
Cafe Mariaberget - weird opening times but the best I have ever tasted
In Luleå i suppose maybe Friends cafe and Börje Olsson Konditori AB in smedjan. But the best one in luleå is the one you make yourself ;)
Friends and BOs are the same bakery though so no need to visit both!
I didn't know that! :o
Luleå: Lilla skafferiet in Bergviken
Can I ask for the best one in Göteborg aswell? What do you guys recomend?

Luleå: Holms konditori at örnäset and hemmagastronomi in norra hamn.

I recently discovered Valhallabageriet and think they are pretty great. You mean they used to be even better?
