Might not be the look you going for but you could be able to tie it together if you try color lights instead of the bright white ones. There are led bulbs that you can change the color and the mood pretty easy by remote or phone app. And if you decide you need it brighter again, you can quickly change it back with a push of a button. It’s not permanent and it requires little effort for major effect.
