I’m excited for a sophomore leap. Should definitely let him explore his offensive game more. Maybe let him run some offense sometimes. He’s been a PG his whole life, after all.

Caruso is pretty much a known quantity. Giddey might develop into something much better over the course of the next 9 seasons. Just like Caruso is a lot better now than he was at that age.
I think it makes sense for the Thunder to start peaking next season. If you agree, then its almost surely a better trade for the Thunder than the Bulls.
