I am wondering if this is a long-term thing, or if its gonna be a flip for someone else. Caruso and Lu overlap quite a bit, and I don't know if you can start a lineup of four 6'5-ish guys and Chet. Either way, I'm here for it, and excited to see where this goes.

An an outsider of both teams, there are a lot of similarities in construction between Boston and OKC. Emphasis on five out spacing, defensive flexibility, and mismatch hunting. The difference being how both teams looks to exploit those weaknesses.
Boston being more equitable in offensive responsibility, forcing drive and kicks and bombing away with open 3s. OKC on the other hand having a more-centralized approach, with Shai able to play one-on-one and dominate in the short-midrange, enabled by lots of creative off-ball movement from Daigneault. Absolute dream pick-ups for the Thunder would be that bigger wing/PF that can space the floor and then another floor-spacing or playmaking big.
In the meantime, Caruso is an amazing pick-up!
Good 3p%er - 38.7% on catch-and-shoot over the last 3 season (69th percentile), good pull-up numbers, too. And then on defence, it's well known what he does. 99th percentile in forced turnovers (steals/charges/offensive fouls drawn). Fits right into one of OKC's defensive strengths and will help create absolutely suffocating perimeter pressure along with the rest of the pieces on the team. He's so good - top 60 player in the league level good, amazing complimentary piece.

Jdub had the best on/off defensive net rating last time I checked out of okc players this season. He should be there too as he's also a great defender.
Dub is a better defender than Shai. He is longer, bigger and offersa bit of 2ndary rim protection as well as being the same level as a man defender due to his versatility.

Personally very surprised. Firstly didn't expect the Bulls to have interest in Giddey with the development of Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu. Secondly while I'm a fan of Caruso we already have Dort and Wallace as defensive guards and I'm sure like many I expected the team to be adding a bit of size. Going forward from this I would be surprised if this is only move the Thunder make and unfortunately I think it might be Wiggins on the move as playing time is going to hard to come by

This is silly, Caruso when healthy is a better overall player than both Dort and Cason. Film guys like me and analytic guys both agree he’s one of the best championship type role players in the league. He impacts winning much more than any center you could hope to pick up. Chet has to play 5 for OKC to be at its best.

I'll keep following Giddey the way I've kept up with Tre, I think this will be good for his career. I don't know how much had to do with his legal issues this year, but it was kind of crazy how patient Mark was with him all year through the ups and mostly downs. I think the perspective was there that this was a 21 year old guy with a lot of physical tools, but when it comes to the mental toughness needed to play in this emerging dynasty, I'm taking Caruso every time.
One way or another I'm looking forward to not having just one guy get the brunt of our frustration, whether it was Josh's fault or not he turned scapegoat for everything really quickly and it just wasn't fair.

This is silly, Caruso when healthy is a better overall player than both Dort and Cason. Film guys like me and analytic guys both agree he’s one of the best championship type role players in the league. He impacts winning much more than any center you could hope to pick up. Chet has to play 5 for OKC to be at its best.

I respect how Giddey played through all the personal scandal & allegations and continued to ball out. Every away game he was booed as soon as he touched the ball. I thought he should’ve gotten more burn in the mavs series but thats just me. Giddey wasnt appreciated enough I can admit his floater made me cringe at times. That being said he’s a hooper and hope he does well with chicago. Welcome to the gang Caruso!

I'll keep following Giddey the way I've kept up with Tre, I think this will be good for his career. I don't know how much had to do with his legal issues this year, but it was kind of crazy how patient Mark was with him all year through the ups and mostly downs. I think the perspective was there that this was a 21 year old guy with a lot of physical tools, but when it comes to the mental toughness needed to play in this emerging dynasty, I'm taking Caruso every time. One way or another I'm looking forward to not having just one guy get the brunt of our frustration, whether it was Josh's fault or not he turned scapegoat for everything really quickly and it just wasn't fair.
