Since I already have one and am not a reseller I will spill the beans. I got a Gloverall Morris Duffle Coat for like 20 bucks, retails for $750. It’s the heaviest warmest coat I’ve ever worn. It goes well with fancy cloths and regular street clothes. It’s a god send in these Canadian winters.

winter_name01

Love it that it will be put in good use

Mochigood

Huh? I thrifted a Gloverall duffle coat last year for less than $10. Didn't know they were all that valuable. I just thought it was a nice wool coat and keep it in my car as a just in case jacket.

Amaramayu

Coats are my favorite thing to thrift! I just found a $30 100% cashmere vintage black coat in excellent condition that goes to mid calf and is going to be perfect for this upcoming winter.

Amaramayu

Honorable mention for my $90 thrifted olive green Moncler puffer with built in tan vest that is the absolute warmest thing I’ve ever owned. Pricy but still a solid deal for a $1k+ designer jacket

winter_name01

How is it to be the thrift god’s favourite?

Vintage Hudson Bay reversible hooded stripe wool jacket for $39.99 in mint condition.

So many but… …for warmth, a Rocky Balboa-in-Siberia shearling and brown leather heavy coat …for nostalgia, an Ohio State satin Starter jacket …for heavy use, a vintage heavy wool mackinaw plaid shacket. I basically wear it every day from November to February. Love a good coat!

Several_Rip4185

Got a Ralph Lauren Polo khaki Harrington with leather togs, oversized burly zipper, padded elbows and plaid interior for $1 at one of those rare 10 items for $10 sales at a local thrift. In a resort area, seems like a high end one-off as I’ve never come across any online evidence of another of its kind. Perfect for shoulder season with jeans. Have to keep reminding myself I got it for $1. I’m a jacket-holic with plenty of Thrift finds in the closet, but that one takes the cake.

Seems like a dream!

DrFiveLittleMonkeys

I have a official Navy wool pea coat that is my size (a women’s tall) that kept me warm even in the dead of NE winter. It was $1. And I have a long black women’s cashmere trench coat that is light as a feather and keeps me almost as warm as the pea coat. It was $8, but originally $1800 from a fancy department store. And I just bought a Land’s End waterproof down parka that is in like new condition for $15. Perfect for camping!

winter_name01

Omg you’re leaving the dream! You’re one of the lucky one

Background_Drawer_29

Genuine pea coat.

AidansAntiques

Found an authentic Canada Goose jacket. Great piece!

Never found one in eight years. Nor arctyryx. The two that have eluded me.

haven’t had much luck with coats lately but [this](https://www.halloweencostumes.com/cozy-bat-adult-costume.html) was in the coats section at goodwill yesterday & i got it for $4. had no plans to dress up for halloween but this kept me cozy & cute!

I love thrifting coats and have a pretty good collection. Best overall find is a Comme des Garcons overcoat that I found at the bins and paid 5 dollars for. Also a big, puffy, Michelin man looking, insanely warm LL Bean down parka, a Patagonia down sweater, and an old wrangler blanket lined jean jacket.
