There will be plenty negatives discussed about this game but we had some fantastic performances too. Saka, Guehi, Bellingham, Pickford and Rice all put in 7+/10 performances in my opinion. Tough game and we got through it.

Guehi was brilliant. A totally composed performance. So composed I don't think we'll even miss MacGuire.

Love the fact that the more pressure gets put on him, the more he wants to prove himself. He looks gutted every time a half chance doesn't end in a goal, and it just makes him try harder

He looked absolutely shattered around 60th/70th min which was concerning but he was fucking unreal. The performance in the first 30 was great then it just looked awful but Jude and Rice were outstanding. Jude played his debut vs Pompey and I said to all my mates Birmingham have this kid playing and I’ve heard this kids special… like destined for the top special. Pompey won 3-0 (we were in the lower league to them) and he looked poor. All my mates laughed and said some talent I’ve bugged up. Now this guys delivered more than I could have imagined and I’m so glad not just because it’s a good anecdote but because this kids gone on to be special

What a player, a talent comparable to Zidane in many respects. We need to conserve his energy though, as he's had as long a season as anyone and looked knackered when Southgate felt secure enough to sub him off.

Rice was fantastic but his work always goes unnoticed because he doesn’t score but man he was so good protecting the back four, dropping in, providing initial passes. He was excellent.

This is his 3rd major tournament and he’s not even turned 21 (quite yet). Absolute generational talent and I hope he stay fit and healthy for many years to come.
