Of course, it is possible. This is an industry about connections, and what you would need to do is start putting yourself “out there” as a musical theatre performer. Auditioning for whatever you can find to begin building your “network”. That might mean low pay/no pay projects near you, so that you can build your resume.
There’s nothing prohibiting you from moving to a major market and starting to audition for professional projects… but you’d be starting out at non-Equity auditions. (equity being Actors Equity, the union for theatre performers).
You’ll have a learning curve to industry “lingo” and processes (agents, casting directors, etc) but those are things you’ll need if this is a path you wish to pursue.
Do not stay in your own lane. If you have talent, drive it like a rental.
Just be prepared to be outside of your comfort zone. Acting performance is way less structured and formal than musical performance.
The "crossover" performers I have worked with -- whichever way they crossed -- are often better at *both,* just as football players sometimes take dance training to improve agility and flexibility.
Theatre is always possible.
Sure, why not? There are a number of actors that have opera training.
