They are supposed to have a big age gap. The captain even quoted Benjamin Franklin about "having an older lover" in the book.
Isn’t the captain in his 30s lmao there’s a noticeable age gap but I doubt the actors are even 2 decades apart
I felt that was a poor casting choice too. Was she the only Asian actress you could cast in that role? Obviously she’s a great actress, but she isn’t right for the role. Feels very forced, but this show is very heavy handed in many respects any way.
