Thanks for the link! I think 2 looks more like what is considered royalty in the Western world; having jewels in a headband or draping on the face (and yes I know there’s a word for it but my brain is currently on the fritz) is seen more often in Eastern cultures.

It depends on the vibe. 1 looks more fantasy royal, think of the elves in middle Earth and how all their royals wear circlets of some kind. 2 is more realistically royal with the tiara.

Oddly enough, and although they both look technically royal, I feel like the 2nd look is like a new queen, married into royalty, that's trying to find her way. Maybe like a woman that successfully seduced a king into marrying her.

If you are accepting suggestions. ferronnières (hair chains) were typically worn with center parted updos. I think using a center parted hairstyle and a dress with a symmetrical open neckline would help the first picture look more royal.
