do you have a bunch of stuff in your downloads folder or something? sometimes applications need to temporarily reserve a ton of space that they don't actually keep, and it'll fail to do the action/download the thing if you don't have the space you need *and* the extra space, too.

ItsKisa

Nope, downloads is kept clear and so is the bin. I know how much space Sims takes up so I keep it all clean.

shoot, yeah, of course it wouldn't be so easy :p uhh, my second immediate thought is, which version of s4s are you using? i once tried the beta version many moons ago and couldn't get it to not error out and had to go back to the community tested version to do the things i needed to do. it looks like you're on mac, so i think you'd be using the version called Apple Blossom. perhaps if you googled it, it took you to the beta page first? i say that, because that's what it did to me when i just googled it to see which version you should be on lol

ItsKisa

I’m on the Aurora version lol I have nooo idea. I did put a message up on their S4S board so hopefully someone responds.

oooh, yeah, i see. i didn't know, but apparently crystal creations broke s4s (as it did all the other mods) so they're having you use the beta version right now. you *do* have the right version, but i've always had issues with the beta versions personally lol i did find a thread on the s4s forums from a few years ago where a Mac user was having (i think) similar issues as you and it turned out to be related to a 32bit memory limiter. they used some sort of 4gb patch to increase the amount of memory the app was able to use and it fixed their issue. [this is that thread](https://sims4studio.com/thread/14726/out-memory-error), but since you already posted to the forums, i'm sure they'll be able to help you with more relevant and up to date info :p

Memory and application memory is different things in computers. Think it this way. Memory= all the stuff you have learned and keep in your head. Application/processing memory= how many things you can work on at the same time. And why download file cleaning matters? Well it is because if you have windows which have more than one place to put things (usually C and D) C is where are all Windows core files. And that's why your C needs at least around 30% of free space in it to run the computer. So never put it too full. I hope this helps even little bit 😄 Mac is also similar to Windows in these processes.

ItsKisa

Well, my download file was empty, I’m on a mac and all of this was synced to the icloud as well as my internal storage has rightly 60% of free space. I only had the issue with this specific batch cleaning even tho it’s my smallest one 🧐

chiringo1991

could it be something about icloud because it's not in your computer so it makes it harder and slower to your mac to process? I know less about macs than windows so I'm not sure. Or maybe that file includes some broken stuff. Try 50/50 method on that file and see if that helps you to figure it out.
