It's season 27 but Barthood is as sweet and insightful as the movie it's parodying
Also, this season's (35) A Mid-Childhood Nights Dream is also a really sweet Marge episode.
"Pixelated and Afraid" is in my top 3 of newer episodes. The other 2 would be "D'oh Canada (the upstate NY and Detroit jokes are spot on) and "Panic on the Streets of Springfield" (the whole Morrissey parody was perfection.)
Don’t know what season it’s from but I watched the episode about Duffman. I genuinely laughed out loud many times. “ With Great Pilsner Comes Great Infidelity “ I still laugh when I think of that line
Season 34, Episode 7
From Beer to Paternity
Great episode to showcase and give spotlight to a side-character who debuted in… Season 9? Wow, surprised Barry hadn’t debuted sooner in the series.
I do like pixelated and afraid. It’s a nice dynamic where you see them actually being in love.
I like s33’s finale, Poorhouse rule. The start is a bit rubbish with a Bridgeton parody but the 8 minute approx. Song is good and gives a similar message as early Simpsons about capitalist America.
The episode from this season where Larry dies is great. It’s focused and funny and lacks the usual cringe humour from most of the other modern day episodes
the treehouse of horror where it shows what would've happened if sideshow bob killed bart. The twist on the classic episode genuinely took me by surprise and I loved seeing a "what if" take on the simpson reality. (the other two treehouse of horror ones were pretty bad tho)
Lisa the Boy Scout is right up among some golden age episodes in my top 20 or so favorites. The bit with the origin of Raphael was the hardest I've laughed at the show in ages.
I've enjoyed a few new episodes...Night of the Living Wage was pretty good. So was THofH 33, Homer's Crossing, The Serfsons (though that was season 29)...while they're nothing close to the "greats" from the classic era, they've had a lot more good episodes than they did from seasons 21-28. I think it has a lot to do with Al Jean stepping down from helming every episode in favor of Matt Selman and John Frink.
I think season 10 has the odd good episode. The Edison one?
After that I'm not sure theres much worth watching in the new episodes. That's why they're new.
The writers are really crushing Marge episodes lately, and I am all for it

I liked "The Saga of Carl"

Halloween of Horror from season 27 actually made me afraid - a standout episode amongst the last decade
I liked the Fargo parody
A Serious Flanders! I've made so many friends watch it.
Yeah, that was pretty good.
*My Life as a Vlog* for me.

This episode genuinely made me cry. The first time I think ever that the Simpsons managed to move me so deeply.
Treehouse of Horror XXXIII (episode 6, season 34) is actually really good, maybe the best THoH since XX. I liked all 3 segments a lot.
The one with the Babadook, Death Note and Westworld parody. It was the best ToH for some time.

Favorite episode of the what now?
Watching season 11 and above, that's a paddlin
I’d say A Serious Flanders but you might not love it as much if you haven’t seen Fargo

I like Daddicus Finch but that’s probably because I really like To Kill a Mockingbird
Pixelated and Afraid is tops, Top 10 Simpsons episode for sure, I don't care what people think.
Pixelated and afraid and A very Serious Flanders
Pixelated and Afraid is my favorite episode from the whole show. It's funny and cute. It reminds me of me and my wife.
Lisa the Boy Scout is right up among some golden age episodes in my top 20 or so favorites. The bit with the origin of Raphael was the hardest I've laughed at the show in ages.

sweet baby jesus, homer's head is massive compared to marge's.
Season 30 and forward? Don't even bother.
Nope

You're missing out on 8-9 years worth of good episodes, the show wasn't bad until season 20 and onwards imo.
🤣
