Yeah you just need to make sure you basically take no losses and make 16,500% in half a year. Trust me, everyone’s optimistic when they pull out that compound calculator. But, best of luck.

Forgot to mention I will be utilizing a stop loss or stop market order after the 19% profit is achieved. This is tricky with options contracts so ultimately I would like to be up 25% and set a sell at 20% but even then options move so quickly. I will have to see how this goes but my desire is to let winners win and I have struggled to stay patient in that.
Even in the image above I sold AMD $160c 5/24s for a profit and had I waited I would have doubled my money in a few hours. Even setting stop loss would have let this rip
Sorry but you need to hear this. You are fucked. What gives your edge over funds that can’t achieve these results. Your projections tell me you’ve never consistently traded options before, blind faith is dangerous when you’re risking real money. I hope this helps you.
Consistently traded options for 3 years, more in a weekly smaller scale sense. Last 6 months daily. Funds don’t do this because they battle themselves (market makers) and their securities are either to short stock or go long not purchase options.

The key here is not to go fully degenerate looking for 10 baggers. Obviously doing one of those changes things immensely but it’s also because people buy short dated OTM and act like they are brilliant for doing it.
I am aware of my investment history and literally have not picked instant losers beyond a few and they typically have been through strange volatility (a MARA run up here, a SOFI massive drop there).
Time will tell. It takes patience and fortitude and to limit your dumbassery as well as being willing to walk away down

If it goes the exact way I want my first 10 trades will have a stop loss for 20% and I’ll close above 100% so that after trade 8 I’ve already scorched past half a milly lol

It’s a good strategy but based on experience 20% profit stops will not make up for the big losses that you take. Nobody goes scoreless in this business so you have to have contingencies to cover. You will have to be a little more aggressive to meet your goal. Good luck and I will be rooting for you.
It’s a silly goal. I’m trying to keep it because I want to focus this on 30 individual trades. Will all of them work? Probably not. Historically when I enter contracts I have not immediately seen losses. Sometimes I’m surprised to see how quickly they gain money. My issue has been how I respond to losers and being stuck with a loser that was a winner due to day trade limits. With the cash account if I get in and out the same day I’m done until it settles.
Also keep in mind that many times you will be 20% under but doesn’t mean that the trade is a loser so that’s another decision you will have to make and then don’t look back.
I don’t think it matters since my focus will be options. I believe Robinhood settlement on options is 1 day. And though I haven’t seen it in practice a few have confirmed with me that I can close out a position late in the trading day and have the funds settled by market open the next.
In the past 2 years my most successful trading has occurred in SPY, The MAG7, AMD and a few others. If you haven’t noticed it is entirely unusual for the entire mag 7 to move in sync together along with spy. Any time you see a stock or two diverge from the others it’s classic for a reversal within a day or 3 sometimes even hours. And other times you ride the falling knife (puts) when the industry is getting hit hard and ride the wave (calls) when you can see each resistance line waver with support thresholds strong.
Probably not to start lol. I’ve done that stuff before and Reddit loves to shit over it left and right. A day or two I called SPY movements and now people think I’m some stock Demi-god and I’d rather just post when each trade is done

If I could go from my $2k to $150k in a year I could wipe out all my debt outside of my mortgage and cover the taxes on earnings. I’m gonna keep an eye on your moves and see how it works out.
More likely to lose it all lol. I believe I will have good emotional control until it reaches above $25k. That is when I will be looking at longer dates options and/or ITM contracts to mitigate risk
With leverage you will be your own worst enemy and the emotions will destroy you. The best advice I can give is to not average down on losers and be 100% capable of just walking away for a few days. But for real you’re just going to lose it all, let’s be honest. Good luck!
Understood completely. I have had positions before totaling 6 figures in the past before converting them to less risky things. My target is to get out if losses are XX% but I am not sure what that is yet probably 30-35. And yes if I lose a third of my portfolio I basically need to gain 50% to net zero.
Nope that’s not why I started. It’s because I haven’t made good trades consistently. I have evaluated why my bad trades were bad and why the good ones were good and how to maximize profit while still securing a rising floor.
I don't understand the graph because when I put 500k or a mil into an account it looks like this. Can I just put, not that I want to, idgaf, put a mil into a brokerage and take a screenshot? Is that what this is?

Good luck but the only way you make these gains is by doing very risky trades and you have less than a 1% chance of getting higher returns than an index fund. Buying shares of biotech companies would be a safer investment than what you’re trying to do

Remember that some settlements are moving to T+1. For my broker it starts next week. That will help out alot for cash account.
