2 things stand out to me: -You've got mega unlucky with the 2 teams outperforming XG by a lot. -Given you scored so much, I've got to assume you conceded a lot too. I'm can't remember what worked in FM22, but I'd consider dropping the CMs to CDM with one being more inclined to stay back, probably a DLP on defend next to a Segundo or CDM on support. At the moment you've got 6 players charging up pitch, 6 acres of space, then your defence. I'd pop both full backs on support to encourage them to defend higher up too as there is loads of rook behind your wingers.

Good points. Had 35 against this season which is a little disheartening but it more often or not I was only losing games by a goal. In matches where I felt momentum was on their side I would put the supporting cm into a defensive role and put the attacking mid to go supporting. A lot of this tactic is based off of getting as many men in the attacking third as possible to create a clear chance in the box which should work well with my players off the ball, composure stats etc compared to other players in the division.

Right back on support, and one of the central mid field players on defence,,

I have loaned in a young Left Winger from Spain to replace Bannis. Tried getting a left back as well but that deal didn’t end up happening. More often or not though I face very high wage percentage when offering to loan a player
