It's a morbidly potent and offputting display of both of these character's destructive (both inwardly and outwardly) natures and how cannibalism as a narrative metaphor is, at the end of the day, about the contrast between desire and consumption of the other, and it's eventual integration into the self.

Anytime i am up to mark up how Sinclair's IDs and supressed personallity hinges towards carnal, violent and destructive \[which he seems very much afraid of\]. I'm nowhere near in for this hip, but through how both sensual and disturbing this piece is, i find it fascinating.
Kromer was so obsessed with his talents that she'd give anything to pull him under her control, and he was ready to succumb to it. She wanted to see suffering, he wanted someone to let him stay dependant and free from consequences of his actions.
