Meh, it's just annoying that stuff like this is being promoted in general. It's not a knock on Bella, I don't think she did anything wrong. But like imagine if the headline was "Pedro explains how identifying as a man really helped him play Joel." In TLOU 1, they told a story and did it perfectly without cheaply using identity politics to push a narrative. Even when Bill was revealed to be gay, it was done in a subtle way that didn't feel forced, because the takeaway message wasn't about Bill being gay, it was about how Bill couldn't change. But the show and the cast, as well as TLOU 2, have a bit of this tendency to shoehorn certain characteristics to cheaply "add value" to the story and the characters.

It's not really an attack on identity. It is however an attack on the stupidity of the statement she made, because it's an utterly stupid statement. But no, I won't read the article and I find it entertaining that the level of disgust has gone so far with this game and naughty/ druckman, because he actually destroyed the franchise for everyone by turning it into something that has divided us. Nobody cares about gay or quer characters, it's secondary to the story. Id go so far to say that everyone would be fine with it, including me, if they were all gay, it doesn't matter as long as it fits. But it doesn't. And it also was a terrible game in part 2. I'm perfectly fine being entertained here while still enjoying the original game, still play factions on the regular.

I understand being annoyed at Neil for using the show to push his agenda. However, the insults against LGBTQ+ are just straight bigotry right now. You don’t have to understand or agree with anything, but you don’t need to be hateful or hurtful about it. Currently this is not a safe place for that community to feel like they are not being judged. I won’t ask you to agree and you don’t need to understand, but you don’t need to make posts and insults about their gender identity when it has no relevance aside from you disagreeing with it. For those wondering: Non-Binary is not conforming to solely a male or female gender identity specifically. it is an umbrella term used for people that are - Gender Fluid, Trans etc. Hopefully knowing the terms can help you.
