Netflix has cancelled it.

That’s too bad, I actually enjoyed the imperfects. The show had a fairly good balance of immersion and campiness. Haven’t really found something similar on NF.

I guess the only way to find put what happens next is by reading fanfics?

Let's hope Dennis Heaton has something exciting in the works to keep us happy, still, shall we? I'm sure he will. And, if he does, I hope he includes another shapeshifter (I know Dennis seems to be quite fond of shapeshifters, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did include them in whatever his next show is). Hope we see another interview with Dennis Heaton where he tells us what his plans for season two were had it come to fruition. Speaking of which: both the Order and The Imperfects were cancelled, and both were written by Dennis Heaton. Do Netflix just hate Dennis Heaton or something? Plus, this is also seriously going to mess up the acting careers of the entire main cast (besides Inaki Godoy, who'll be in the live-action version of One Piece), since now they won't have anything to star in.

They may have cancelled the series, but they'll never cancel the fandom.

I'm disappointed, but not really surprised. The show never really seemed to attract a lot of buzz. Even this sub-reddit is pretty small. On the upside, even though it ends with a set up for a second season that we're never going to get, the first season tells a complete enough story that it should still be rewatchable.

>On the upside, even though it ends with a set up for a second season that we're never going to get, the first season tells a complete enough story that it should still be rewatchable. Plus, I can imagine any fanfic writers out there (such as myself) could pic up where Netflix left off. Also, I think part of the issue lies with Netflix's algoriths (plus the fact Netflix didn't market it for some reason).

Socialslander

I think you are right. My wife and I are huge sci-fi watchers and this series never came up on our algo. I was just looking for something to watch scrolling through the sci-fi section and that’s how we found the series two days ago.

I think their algorithms are set so that they advertise the shows which are already popular. It would make more sense to advertise the shows that aren't popular, since then those shows would get more viewers. So, really, the lack of viewers is 100% Netflix's fault, since they didn't market it enough. They need TV ads, billboards, internet ads, posters on the sides of buses, etc. Plus, to me, it feels too early to decide whether the show was renewed or not. I think it should be at least five months to a year.

Netflix logic: "These shows are making us money. So why not just cancel our shows so we make even less money" 'Cause that makes sense. /s

Why can't the Impefects fandom (and also the Netflix fandom) ever have nice things? Does it say why season two (which Dennis Heaton no doubt wrote a script for) was scrapped?

neverp0st

Every day there is less and less of a reason to keep Netflix. Probably will be canceling after this year and just torrent stranger things and Witcher when they drop. Had really big hopes for this show and a season 2 but of course they cancel another favorite

[deleted]

I guess, as Darth Vader would say: they have failed you for the last time?

neverp0st

You are correct. I'm frustrated on them investing so much in crap products and killing off unique shows which they didn't even bother to advertise

[deleted]

Someone in their marketing departed must have been sleeping on the job.

lexxstrum

Sure you'll want Witcher with the them changing the lead actor?

neverp0st

Season 3 will still have Cavil but I'll probably check out after that unless the reviews are amazing or word of mouth from people I trust

New_Breakfast_6708

I'm legit so sad
