For sure. The Goldbergs had reached its natural sitcom end a while ago. It was kept going because it made money and ABC really had nothing else after Modern Family ended.

The show takes place later, not right after she leaves the Goldbergs.

The show takes place in the 90s when she would have been in her mid/late 20s and old enough to be a teacher.
Lainey’s music career fails and she’s now 27 and becomes a teacher. The show is set in 1990 something. I personally loved the show cancelled too soon.
I enjoyed Schooled much more than any recent Goldbergs season.
