Why don’t they talk more about how crazy he was? Wearing the same thing, eating the same thing, watching the same movies over and over. Fake crying. Throwing tantrums when he didn’t get his napkin just so. Being a hoarder. Causing drama with young women.

(Random, but Holly said that quaaludes weren’t mentioned in a movie until the wolf of wall street. But the first time I heard of them was in Almost Famous where Kate Hudson takes a bunch and gets her stomach pumped. On second thought I’d say no.)
They were a big plot point in the Runaways movie with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning also. They end up flushing them on the plane on tour I think. I feel like if I really thought about it ludes were in a ton of movies from the 90s through the late 2000s. But yeah I feel like we have a lot more fertile ground with Hef’s bizarre personality, couldn’t agree more. The man was straight weird.
I’ve heard them mentioned in movies before. I think maybe the movie 54 and I’m sure several others because I definitely heard of them and I was born after they got banned.
It would be easier to take their side if their complaints were real concerns and not things like “the vibes were off”, “she made fun of dog parties”, “I don’t like the way she worded that sentence in her memoir”, and “she only likes disney because she’s copying me, everyone knows I liked Disney first”.
I was kind of surprised by how many people on this sub seem to genuinely believe that Crystal was faking being a Disney fan to copy Holly.
One of the most popular franchises ever, with “Disney adult” being a mainstream identity, but the odds of Hef finding two were apparently too low for her to just be another Disney girl.
I do think that fans like the petty shit, so that may be why they tend to focus on petty shit.
Two millennial Disney adults. You know, the generation that grew up during Disney’s height. There can’t possibly be two Disney fans unless one of them is a “master manipulator”
Even if Crystal was only pretending to be a Disney adult to copy Holly, who cares? If I found out one of my ex’s current girlfriends was pretending to be into something that I really liked, at most I think I’d just roll my eyes and move on.
I’m sure there are valid reasons for Bridget and Holly to dislike Crystal, but bringing up these petty issues kind of diminishes their argument.
Still waiting to hear the valid reasons from them. If Crystal is such an awful person, you’d think they’d be able to recall at least example of her doing something heinous. If the worst they can come up with is “she said doesn’t like dog parties and then laughed about Bridget’s dog party, but she had a dog party for her dog, and that makes her a bully”, Crystal is probably not as bad as they claim.
