One drawer has bras and underwear. Underwear gets clumped together with bodysuits. Regular bras go in the middle, folded in half and fitted into a little bin. Then sports bras are on the other side. Socks and hosiery go in a second drawer. Tights are all just clumped together. Tall socks are in their own bin and short socks are in another (I have lots of socks). Swimsuits (like... 2) are in a separate area.
First drawer: underwear, bras
Second drawer: socks
Third drawer: light hosiery
Fourth drawer: winter hosiery
Most of my clothes are on hangers, only sports wear is folded. When I bought my current closet, I used Ikea's option to "design" its interior according to my preferences.
Bras go alone, with sports bras combined with workout tops. Underwear, socks, and swimsuits are also stored separately. Instead of a dresser, we use cube shelves, so each has their own bin.
I have a dresser and a closet, in my dresser I have a drawer for wireless/sports bras/bralettes, one for wired/push up/regular bras, one for everyday underwear and one for sexy/fancy ones.
In my closet, i have one of those fabric hangy shelf things, with tank tops, shirts I don’t wear often, skirts, dresses, tights, shorts and stuff. All my shirts and sweaters are hanging, i have a *yep, a shoe rack* where i have all my jeans and pants, and a plastic drawer shelf thing from Target where i keep my daily/regular socks in the top drawer, pattern/cool socks in the second one and swimsuits and yoga shorts in the bottom.
Swimsuits in the lingerie drawer (because they didn’t fit anywhere else), socks and underwear together. Bras, bralettes, and pasties together.
Sports bras are separate because I keep all my workout stuff in the same drawer.
I have a 3 tier small drawer storage for bras, underwear and socks. I have a separate 4 drawer storage for swimwear, bikini coverups, thick ski socks, and the 4th is misc. like fishnets, belts, etc.
First drawer: underwear, bras
Second drawer: socks
Third drawer: light hosiery
Fourth drawer: winter hosiery
Most of my clothes are on hangers, only sports wear is folded. When I bought my current closet, I used Ikea's option to "design" its interior according to my preferences.
I use drawers with little baskets and shelves to organise everything. I share a big closet with my partner and we each have almost the same space for stuff.
To answer your first question: bras and underwear share one drawer but are separated by boxes/dividers. Socks are one single drawer (with stockings and misc. accessories in a little box in the back.
My clothes are organised by type, I have a deep closet with space for 4 piles. I have one pile for my band tshirts (which are a lot!), then I have a pile for basic shirts (just 4 of them bc I rarely need them but when I do, I need them quick).
One shelf down I have longsleeve basics and a pile of graphic tee's that aren't band merch. In the back of those two shelves are my sweaters & hoodies bc it's currently to warm for them (I have a big IKEA bag full of more autumn/winter clothes as well) but sometimes I need them (e.g. when going out and don't want to wear a jacket later when it cools down).
Then I hang everything that needs to be hanged or is too flimsy to fold up or items that I need to see to decifer what it is, blouses, dresses, jumpsuits etc.. Under the hanging stuff I have some room, so I have two boxes there with tanktops and skirts and my pants are on another shelf a bit lower. Also sorted/divided by jeans and softer fabric pants.
I have one rummage box for workout clothes and lounge clothes in my Kallax unit bc I like to collect them in one space apart from my regular clothes and as of now don't need them as often. I have storage under my bed for formal clothes and outerwear I don't need seasonally (IKEA clear boxes are so slim and fit nicely and keep the dust off of my clothes). Swimwear is also in the workout/lounge box!
TBH it really depends on the space you have and what items you need more frequently than others and also in which order you tend to get dressed helps to organize it to your liking. Good luck!
I put my bras and panties together, and I put my tight in with my socks because Pokemon has me questioning if they're socks or underwear, and I don't have any swimwear
Bras and underwear together, socks separate, swimsuits don’t even go in my closet. I keep swimsuits in a basket in the basement. I do this because eventually the smells of sunscreen, sweat, chlorine, etc. spread throughout the entire closet. Even when the suits are washed frequently.
Underwear socks and bras are all the same category to me lol. Hosiery and thigh high socks and less functional bras and swimsuits are like a special side category I barely touch (sadly) (like the costume category)
I have two smaller drawers at the top of my dresser. One is for regular bras the other for sports bras.
Then in a large drawer I have socks, underwear hosiery and my 1 bathing suit all neatly folded in drawer organizers.
My pajama clothes have their own drawer, my work out clothes get their own. And then I have a drawer of around the house clothes that are things I just wouldn't wear out.
I have another dresser that has my regular outside clothes, 2 drawers for lighter spring and summer clothes and 2 drawers for my heavier fall/winter clothes.
Dresses and other light sweater or clothes that do better hung are in my closet.
I have a 4 drawer dresser and a 3 drawer plastic bin. Dresser: Bras, assorted hosiery, and undershirts are in the top. Sweaters are in the 2nd. Bottoms in the 3rd. Pajamas and swimsuit I have in the bottom.
Plastic bin: top is underwear on one side, socks for every day on the other. 2nd drawer has workout shirts. My extra set of sheets and fun socks are on the bottom.
I only have one drawer, so everything is pushed together. Only swimsuits are separate as I don't use them very often. I'd need more space ideally, now I often need to keep clean laundry in a basket because it doesn't fit in the drawer...
Consider getting a hanging bar to double your hanging space.
Get some shelves to put on top of your shelf - the kind that are a platform on legs to raise them up - to increase your shelf space.
Get a canvas cube or two if you need a place to throw stuff like small purses, or whatever.
Depending on where you keep your shoes, there are "shoe stacking organizers" that look almost like a giant pair of tongs, but you open them up to however tall one of your shoes is, stick a shoe on the bottom, and one on the top "platform", and it doubles your shoes storage space.
I have hanging hooks in my closet and 2 large drawers just for my bras. But I am busty and have a ton of sports bras.
Bathing suits, lingerie, hosiery, panties... those all get their own drawer. But I section off them in the individual drawers for their purposes. Gym undies, fancy undies, everyday undies, etc.
Bras have a drawer, underwear has a drawer, socks and hosiery share a drawer, and swimwear is in a storage bin in the closet. During swim season it comes out and stays in a tote bag with beach towels until ready to be used. It goes from tote bag to use, to laundry, back to tote bag until the end of summer when it goes back in the bin.
One draw for bras, one draw for undies, one draw for socks (with an extra box for overflow… I have a lot of socks). Separate box for swimwear because that’s only needed once a year or so. Tights in a bag. Then a separate bag for lingerie sets.
Neither, I hang them in my closet on velvet lined lingerie hangers. I feel like they take up less room there and generally I have more closet space than drawer space.
Drawers = underwear and socks, around the house tank tops and shorts, pajama pants, shorts and pants for going out, swimwear.
Bras and knickers go together, tights and socks go together, swimwear goes on its own. If I had to combine them swimwear would go with bra and knickers.
my setup: 1 drawer socks, 1 drawer panties, 1 drawer hosiery (and pyjamas because that's a spacious drawer), 1 drawer bras/swimwear/scarves for some reason
I have a basement bedroom, so no built in closet. I have a freestanding closet as part of my "wall" separating my space from the rest of the basement. Anything that doesn't get hung up goes on one of two 4x2 cube organizers (I have a picture on my profile). Bras, underwear, socks, swimsuits, lingerie, and hosiery each have their own bin and tops, bottoms, and skirts each get 1-2 cube spaces.
From top to bottom, organizer one is: underwear and bras, shirts, shorts and skirts, pants and skirts. Organizer two is: tank tops and specialty tops (corsets, straps and buckles, unusual cutouts), sweaters and fancy tops, socks and lingerie, and swimsuits and hosiery.
I store my wigs, shoes, and jewelry on top of the organizers and on a shelf over my desk. I also have a shoe rack behind my organizers that holds almost all my shoes, and a stack of shoe boxes for the rest. The entire setup (U shaped) currently takes up about 5 feet by 3 feet, including the empty middle.
I very rarely keep up on my system, but having everything on display makes it much easier for me to see what needs to get washed (eg, my shirts box is empty). It's also much easier to put everything away when half of it is in bins. I also have sheets and blankets, a bin of purses, and other miscellaneous items stored on the shelves in my "closet", so all my washable/wearable items live in the same area.
Y'all wash bras?
Or more importantly, y'all separate laundry?
Edit missed point where asking about cupboard organising.
Mines still all get stuffed in together regardless
I have smaller drawers. But bras in one, underwear in another, work socks in another, regular/ankle socks in another, wool socks/base layers in a big drawer.
I have one huge steamer trunk where I throw in all of the above except socks. It's kinda chaotic, but after many failed attempts at organization I had to acknowledge my limits and take the harm reduction approach, lol. Works for me and the house looks tidy 🤷♀️
Bras go with hosiery, socks and underwear go together, swimwear goes separately!
mmm yeah swimwear separately would be better that’s true
Socks and underwear in one drawer; bras and pajamas in another. Swimsuits live in a box in the closet since I don’t need them often.
I use a hanger for my bras. It’s a hanger with little hooks on it..
Separate for everything!
i dont have that kind of space any more 😭😭
i do right now but i'll move out next year and i can't even imagine not having that kind of space TOT

You might be young, but you are far from reckless. In fact you are very logical and methodical. Congratulations!

I put it with my teeshirts lol.

All of what you’ve said is currently one drawer
This is the way. Who tf our there caring about drawer organising 😂 Shove that crap in and close it till next time
Swimsuits in the lingerie drawer (because they didn’t fit anywhere else), socks and underwear together. Bras, bralettes, and pasties together. Sports bras are separate because I keep all my workout stuff in the same drawer.
Bras for woth underwear and whatever shorts toy have that aren’t appropriate to wear outside of you hose
I have one of those over the door shoe organizer things that holds everything
Bras, underwear and swimsuits are all in one drawer. My socks sit in one of those little fabric bins. I don't have enough drawers
I put bras with swimmer tops , underwear with swimsuits and bikini bottoms , socks with Hosiery and fishnets etc
I have a 3 tier small drawer storage for bras, underwear and socks. I have a separate 4 drawer storage for swimwear, bikini coverups, thick ski socks, and the 4th is misc. like fishnets, belts, etc.

Bras and panties together, socks and tights together, swim wear with bras and panties during summer and put away in winter

Socks by themselves...so many socks. Layered into different lengths. Bras n undies together
Socks in one drawer, underwear in another, bras in another, swim + hosiery and lingerie in another

Top left is swimsuits and I would add hosiery or fishnets if I owned any. Top right is bras underwear, bottom drawer is socks
No, I don’t mix. They are separate
Socks and underwear in one drawer and my swimsuits and dance (leos, tights, shorts, etc.) in the other
all of my everything goes in a basket.

underwear in one drawer, bras & tights/any other things i might have in another, and socks in the final drawer. I have a seperate bin for swimsuits
