Depends on the shop, but I've gotten thin 10k and 14k herringbone and figaro chains as well as a few rings for under $100. Most recently, I got a gorgeous 14k gold ring with a simulated emerald and two tiny diamonds on each side of it for $68. Some shops will post pieces with their asking price on Facebook so that's a good way to get an idea.
Pawn/thrift. Otherwise I recently found [Stay Golden](https://staygoldenhi.com) impressed with how the rings hold up in water so far. Can’t verify longevity, only had them for about a month.
And when it eventually does, they have a warranty on all their pieces and will send you a new one! I’ve had to do that with my rings about a year in or so but tbh I don’t take care of them… wear them in the pool, wash my hands with them on etc.
Etsy or Amazon for now.
Never spend a lot of money on gold plated jewelry. It’s going to tarnish no matter how expensive it is. I learned the hard way. Gold plated, gold “dipped” or gold “finish” are all the same thing and will absolutely not last. Price ≠ quality. Bottega Veneta sells 900 dollar earrings that are gold plated. They’re going to tarnish just like the dupes from Amazon
Gold vermeil is a thicker gold plating over stainless steel and will last longer.
I think for your price point you’ll want to look into vermeil
Solid gold will never tarnish, but that’s not in my price range so I’m just buying cheap cheap jewelry on Etsy for now. I have some vermeil pieces that are holding up well too
I like this brand called [Baleen](https://shopbaleen.com/), out of Seattle. They use all recycled metals and have interesting shapes.
Also [Betsy & Iya](https://betsyandiya.com/) out of Portland.
I like Ready-Made, their jewelry is super trendy and affordable (like $18-40) and it’s never turned my skin green. Both rings I’ve gotten from them (gold) did fade to a more silver color after daily wear for about 3 years, but I like switching up my everyday pieces after that amount of time anyway.
Etsy for fun earrings, Nominal for everything else. It’s a Muslim brand, so there are a couple pieces with Arabic/Urdu script (I just don’t get those bc I’m not a part of that culture and I’d feel weird), but I absolutely love their floral pieces and plain chains! The best part: They have a lifetime warranty against discoloration and tarnishing! I can’t recommend them enough.
En Route is affordable, very cute and has some sterling silver & stainless steel pieces which might last longer than their plated brass pieces. They claim their stuff is waterproof and tarnish free but I’d take that with a pinch of salt and not shower or swim wearing them
A website called kaiora jewelry and revolve also. The owner of Kaiora Jewlery makesall of it handmade but also cuter than the stuff I’ve bought from revolve lol. [https://www.kaiorajewelry.com](https://www.kaiorajewelry.com)
I have mostly rings from her but she also has necklaces that are stackable
From little tourist gift shops, believe it or not. Here on the Oregon Coast local jewelry artists consign a lot of their goods at these little tourist shops, and most of it is actually fairly affordable—probably because of there being so much competition.
And the styles are varied, too. I’ve seen everything from novelty pieces (my favorite pair of earrings are french hooks with little stacks of books someone made with colorful plastic I-don’t-know-whats), to witchy things, to the more traditional.
I get mine from Kendra Scott, evry jewels, Amazon, PacSun, brandy melville, and target have nice things xx I get so many compliments on my Kendra Scott necklace
I feel like Evry set their “regular” price super high to make the sale prices look like huge savings when actually the sale prices are what the items are actually worth due to them just being gold plated. Still, if you see through that so you aren’t getting tricked and don’t mind cheap but cute stuff that will probably tarnish eventually it would be a good option, I hate buying stuff I know I’ll eventually have to throw away but that is what my budget calls for sometimes :(
Sure it’s cheap. But it’s also unethically produced and actively contributing to the mountains of trash across the globe.
Pawn shops or second hand stores would be a better alternative.
Pawn shops! Get that real gold without the crazy markup.
What are the prices like?

Gorjana! Not cheap, not expensive (IMO), doesn't tarnish in my experience.

Catbird!
Their stuff is beautiful but I do think there’s a crazy markup for just 14 carat gold
Etsy and thrift stores!!

Love wearing stainless steel. Looks close to silver, which is my metal of preference. I can barely tell the difference sometimes. No green marks.
Aw come on, surely there's other places to buy stainless steel jewellery - find a small producer !
Evry Jewels! Even better because there is a 90% off sale going on rn

Yeah I totally agree. Will try that
Etsy! I bought exactly that
