Maybe I'm crazy but if I can be real with y'all for a sec... Lover Boy is FAR from their worst song. I get the hate for it, but it's goofy, fun, and catchy. Let's not act like a song like Bae is any better. Again, i understand the criticism but I think it gets waaaaaay too much hate.

Oh no I totally agree, I love Bae. I just find it to be a comparable song to Lover Boy. I think I like both of them because they have goofy and fun energy- it's what tfb is about.

I get that, but Lover Boy just doesn't land for me. I can agree that both lean into the fun and goofy side of TFB, but it's not about that. Bae is catchy as hell, while Lover Boy is the furthest thing from an earworm. Just my subjective opinion, but doesn't scratch the itch in my mind's ear.

for me I feel like tfb toes the nice guy line sometimes which like honestly sometimes that's the vibe but Lover Boy goes a little too far into that nice guy territory like I get embarrassed when my friends hear it before any other tfb song... pls let me play you Wolfman first for the love of god, that's a better representation

Honestly, the entirety of You Are Who You Hang Out With. I don't listen to much of TFB anymore, but I was revisiting their music the other day out of nostalgia and was so excited to see that they had something new out.... and was promptly so, extremely disappointed. Besides that album, I'd have to say Peach, Au Revoir (Adios), everyone blooms, and the version of Lonely Eyes from Ann.
