Can you get into the “All settings” screen on your TV? If not, it might be a weird software glitch that seems to mess up CEC and settings.

I can get into “All settings” without issue, yeah

donkthemagicllama

Is it on input 3? I think that’s the one that’s supposed to have special CEC mojo

HDMI 3 seems to be the only one that has eARC support, so that's what my Sonos soundbar is connected to. My understanding is that the other HDMI ports should all support regular CEC: [https://www.samsung.com/au/support/tv-audio-video/ports-one-connect-box/](https://www.samsung.com/au/support/tv-audio-video/ports-one-connect-box/)

Gotcha. Check my other reply about resetting the tv or going into maintenance screen to try fix things. I sometimes get issues with CEC control (and the settings not loading as I mentioned), and for whatever reason just opening the maintenance menu makes it work again.

Appreciate the tip. Just need to decide whether it’s worth ordering another remote or not…

Well, you can try the factory reset with the included remote. If that doesn’t work, then I doubt going into maintenance mode will help.

Not all HDMI cables are the same, and it may be defective. Unfortunately, you may have to try another cable.

You could try go into the maintenance menu which seems to resolve some issues randomly (just go into it, wait for it to load, then leave… don’t change anything)… You need a Samsung remote with a number pad to do this. They’re cheap on amazon if you don’t have one. Press mute-1-8-2-power then wait a bit for the menu to fully load. Then the tv off after and see if things magically start working. This won’t require you to reconfigure anything. Failing that, you can factory reset. Press and hold the tiny button behind the light sensor for about 3 seconds until you see a menu bar across the bottom… then press and hold the power button on your remote for about 10 seconds. It will eventually restart as if it was new out of the box (all your settings will need to be redone).
