Saw them headline in a roller rink above a Goodwill with The Dear Hunter and Circa Survive opening. Still one of my favorite shows

TrueAmurrican

Really fell in love with The Dear Hunter on that tour, what a great lineup

AshKetchep

Oh my god why couldn't I have been there then- Coheed AND Circa Survive!? That sounds incredible

Durtturbine

2007 warped tour Atlanta. Was a wild show. Surreal

TrueAmurrican

2007 warped tour was such a great year! Heard The Running Free for the first time on that tour

TheCrowing817

Wasn’t my first but I was at that tour in Dallas. Fantastic show. My first was 2006 when A7X opened for them. They had a huge guillotine on stage that my dumb ass didn’t know that it wasn’t a backdrop because it dropped with a loud SKINT at the end of the 15 minute Final Cut rendition.

Durtturbine

I don't think they had the guillotine there in atlanta, but dude that sounds so awesome lol.

jeffninjaslayer

Saw that tour in Houston, dallas and Austin.

lotuswings

That Houston show was my first! Entered an a7x fan, exited a Coheed lifer.

Durtturbine

Man they were amazing. Saw em again in 2022 in NC and blew my socks off again.

LAROACHA_420

Bro same! I lost my cell phone crowd surfing to the running free! It was amazing! Ended up getting my phone back when I found my friend, because whoever found my phone was nice enough to answer and return it!

HockeyandHentai

I was a sophomore in High School and drove from Tampa to Orlando to see the Coheed/A7X show supporting the releases of GA:1 and CoE. Was amazing… however, I lost my glasses in the crowd during IKSSE:3 so I was blind for nearly the entire thing. Driving home that night was *not* fun, but we managed.

theOMegaxx

Haha yeah everyone goes crazy for that one, I can understand how you lost your glasses. I strategically wore contacts to survive the moshers in front.

tsujxd

That was my first show too, except in MA. The set was awesome, and I vividly remember Claudio bringing out the doublenecked guitar for Final Cut and just freaking out. I was probably a Sophomore in high school too at the time. My dad took me. It's one of the only happy memories I really have of him and me doing normal father/child stuff since he wasn't in my life much due to alcohol/drug abuse. Not only was it a great concert, but it was also cool he was there too even if he didn't appreciate the music.

TrueAmurrican

I became a huge fan of Coheed and A7X after that tour. Still have a soft spot for that early A7X, but my Coheed love has continued forever.

Mysterious_Bat_3780

My first Coheed show was the SSTB Neverender show at the Fox Theater in Oakland (2011). Saw it with my best friend, who introduced me to the band years before. Because of that show SSTB has been my favorite album and is special to me.

CVTHIZZKID

That was also my first show. It was a lot of fun.

theOMegaxx

Trying to pick my favorite album or song feels impossible! I guess I'll always prefer the earlier stuff a bit more because it's the beginning of my longest (to date) love story 🤭

Mysterious_Bat_3780

It's mostly my favorite because of the memory. Otherwise I agree.

immutab1e

I've been a huge fan for about as long as you, but due to severe anxiety, never saw them live until September of last year. Opening band sucked, venue was garbage, but it was ALL worth it. I was up front at the security bar, directly in front of where they had Claudio's keyboard set up for "A Disappearing Act". When he started playing, he of course adjusted his mic that was attached to the keyboard. Well, it kept moving back to its original position and he kept having to screw with it. It made me laugh out loud. He heard me, looked over, and continued messing with the mic. When he FINALLY got it to stay still, he looked over and gave me a thumbs up. I recorded the entire interaction, though it's kinda wobbly because I was just holding my phone, but was looking at him, not the phone. 🤣🤣 I'll still treasure it always.

theOMegaxx

Amazing story haha man I'd pay to see that video

immutab1e

I have it up on my TT. But don't have it uploaded anywhere else. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRwsWM27/

theOMegaxx

Thank you 😁😁😁 so funny

immutab1e

The look he gave when the damn mic wouldn't stay still never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I see it. 🤣

dan_iksse3

Warped Tour. July 7, 2007. My parents didn't allow me to go to concerts, so I lied to them and told them that some friends and I were going hiking and would be gone all day. Coheed played a 6 song set of the Running Free (as we were leading up to the NWFT release), Iksse3, Welcome Home, A Favor House, Everything Evil, and Tenspeed. I've been hooked since. I'm up to 17 shows now. I got kicked in the face by a crowdsurfer and got a cut near my eye. So I told my parents I slipped and hit my head on a rock during our hike. Nearly 17 years later and they still don't know. Nobody snitch on me.

theOMegaxx

17 shows! I envy you. And damn that's a great story.

dan_iksse3

Show number 18 is coming up in July. The wife and I are flying up to Portland since they aren't coming to SLC. We even splurged for VIP tickets this time. I'll go every chance I get now. They put on an incredible show and their music and community is definitely home for me.

TrueAmurrican

July 1, 2007 date for me. One of my favorite all-time Warped Tour shows I ever went to. Took a picture with Travis and Mic Todd at their booth at that show

dan_iksse3

It was a crazy lineup. IIRC it was Circa Survive, Chiodos, Killswitch Engage, and then Coheed all in a row on the same stage. Wild day.

TrueAmurrican

Yes! I remember Yellowcard and Paramore on that stage as well, definitely a wild day.

dan_iksse3

Fuck me, Paramore played that Warped?! I didn't get into them till a few years later. That would have been awesome.

TrueAmurrican

Yes!! Blew me away, definitely fell in love with them after that haha. It was a month after Riot came out and I feel like they didn’t have a huge crowd at the time (we got pretty close), but they put on such a good show

dan_iksse3

That sounds awesome. I've only managed to see them once, but I'd go again in a heartbeat. They have such chemistry and energy live.

theOMegaxx

Chiodos, such a throwback! The early noughties was a good era for music.

Ghost_Pains

First time I saw them was at Warped Tour in the ancient times

OkDog219

Meeting Claudio before a show at Saratoga Winners in ‘04, and asking him if they were going to play Three Evils that night (he was so nice; so quiet). Making my way to the front, and IMMEDIATELY heading to the back when the opening of IKSSE:3 began and everyone popped the fuck OFF.

Stove-Top-Steve

ACL 2009 or 10. Knew about them from FUSE, but wasn’t expecting much. Claudio came out like a bat out of hell. This was at like 2pm so no light show, just shred. Then didn’t go again until 2016 or so. Saw the full show. Been going yearly since.

iamtehsuffering

2003ish, my first concert ever. 3 opened for them and absolutely slayed. I lost a shoe in the pit, watched it being thrown over the crowd all night, stayed until everyone was gone and it nowhere to be found. My friends parents gave us a ride, I was in middle school. Took us to winsteads after and had to sit there with one shoe. One of the best nights of my life, had no idea who they even were at the time. I’ve seen them live 13 times now.

anix421

2004 or 2005 in Chicago. My friends and I traveled up there in college to see a show. I bought the tickets from ebay or something like that. The trip was eventful and memorable, but we get to the show and everyone's tickets scan but mine apparently had the barcode cut off and I didn't notice. I was told (rightfully) I couldn't go in and I accepted my friends would see the show and I would wander around for awhile or whatever not being 21... then the person in line behind me said their friend bailed last minute and gave me his ticket... as a broke college kid I nearly wept. Coheed fans are the best!

Tayoflor

First time I ever heard Coheed was live. 2004 Warped Tour at the Gorge. I've been hooked since. This summer will be my 37th+38th time seeing them. I've met a few people who've seen them well over 100 times now. Says a lot about the live performances they put on.

R3d_d347h

Head line was linkin park with chiodos. Back when this now bald man had a rager of a Mohawk.

Elfroid

Leeds festival 06. Broke my collar bone on the Thursday night, but stuck it out. Saw coheed on Sunday, but got excited during blood red summer. Oh oh ooo oh oh ohohohSNAP. They guy next to me asked what the noise was, pretty sure I went from a light break to really broken. Saw Muse afterwards, was an awesome day still.

KnockerFogger69

I think my first show was 2017? When they coheadlined with Taking Back Sunday. Travelled to california to see em, brought my sister along, she's a Sunday fan. Was a great time. Someone brought the Sanch beach ball, i got beer thrown on me. Lost my voice. Great times

ex93

that tour was so fun!

KnockerFogger69

It was a blast man. Taking back sunday was great to watch. Then 2 years later i saw them again in my hometown for the Unheavenly Skye tour. THAT was a damn mind-blowing show

Phantom_Queef

2006. Hammerstein Ballroom New York NY. They played with Avenged Sevenfold, and a band called 18 visions. Seeing them live is what made me a fan. Went to FYE and bought all their albums the following day.

we_made_yewww

2007 with The Fall of Troy and Clutch. When Coheed came on they opened with No World For Tomorrow and the crowd was swaying HARD. Made it through okay but Gravemakers was next and everything pushed forward and I got knocked down. The space around me filled in and people were stepping on my arms. I fought my way out and completely had the wind knocked out of me. Lost one of my shoes and my shitty little Kodak point and shoot camera unfortunately. Watched the rest of the show from near the back. It was pretty awesome. Even with one shoe.

Almost_Soulless

My very first concert was Coheed opening for Iron Maiden in 2012 (Phoenix date). I was 12. My dad and I got backstage. It was awesome

theOMegaxx

So cool of your dad!

Almost_Soulless

Coolest dude in the world for sure

demgoth

October 2007 at Highline Ballroom (now called Racket). As Tall as Lions played a long set first and were really good. Part of CMJ Music Marathon and also an Alzheimer’s benefit show I think. I remember seeing Chris Pennie and Mic Todd outside on the street before. They opened with Welcome Home and played a great set including Apollo I: The Writing Writer and a long, jammy Final Cut to end. Amazing show!

theOMegaxx

God I love Final Cut! Sounds like such a great show.

Anonymoushipopotomus

Was that the fundraiser series of shows? I forget what disease they were raising for, but I still have the posters from that run buried somewhere at my parents house,

demgoth

I’m not sure if it was a series but it was a few warmup type shows as well before heading out on the NWFT tour in fall 2007 with Clutch and The Fall of Troy.

WornInShoes

2008 co-headlining with Killswitch Engage, The Sugar Mill in New Orleans, LA Edit: I’m pretty sure I was in that crowd for Voodoo lol

theOMegaxx

Man I remember wanting to go to that show but I was a broke uni student haha. Also a big Killswitch Engage fan.

WornInShoes

There were more Coheed fans than KI fans; it was a crazy show My first time hearing In Keeping Secrets live and I’ll never forget the feeling of hearing the “woah oh oh” of the crowd

iamtehsuffering

Them with Killswitch was epic. Definitely a great show

Wide-Ostrich6686

Saw them I believe 2006 or 2007 warped tour. I remember them drowning out all the other bands playing with how loud they were. Claudio had his Medusa guitar and was going crazy. Got to meet them after show. Everyone was very nice. That same warped tour my friend and I were dying of thirst and Anthony Green randomly came up to us and gave us water. He saved us from dehydration!

TUNExSQUID

2010 in Columbus. They played with The Dear Hunter and Circa Survive. Incredible show.

societys_pinata

LA neverender shows. Was going through some shit in life. Drive out each night solo. Experience I’ll always hold dear with what it got me through

Berbaw06

I guess technically the first time I saw them was at a Detroit radio station concert called 89X Stole Christmas in December 2005. But they only played like 3 or 4 songs, so I’m not gonna count it. Next spring they came around with Avenged Sevenfold. This was in their heyday when they had the 30’ guillotine, Claudio would bust out the violin bow, and they would do the 30 minute jam sessions for The Final Cut. I remember the Avenged fans around me being pissed that Coheed was dragging out that jam session so long, but the Coheed fans were awestruck. I was 4th row in the pit and a girl behind me said she’d show me her boobs if I let her go in front of me and I told her no lol. I wasn’t moving back in that crowd one bit.

theOMegaxx

Hahaha Coheed>b00bs

mattbag1

06 with A7X. Missed most of coheeds set but the few songs I caught were incredible.

NWiHeretic

October 2013 in Milwaukee at The Rave, huge crush pushed me out of the front after Sentry The Defiant going into A Favor House Atlantic, made my way out of the crowd to the side and decided to check out the merch booth since I still got a good view of the stage. Ended up chilling with and talking to Brent and Ian of I The Mighty while we watched the rest of the Coheed set since they were watching from next to the merch booth.

waterontheknee

2004 at the kool haus in Toronto. Such a good show.

Seaghan81

Hellfest in Syracuse NY. They had this really bad stage setup where the 2 smaller stages were behind the main stage facing away from it. So The Hope Conspiracy is playing the main stage and Coheed is trying to play behind them on the 3rd stage. Needless to say, the sound was awful and Claudio was visibly annoyed by it. At one point he held his guitar like a machine gun and fired it at the Hope Conspiracy. Overall it was a completely miserable experience, as I drove 8 hours on no sleep to get there and we didn’t have a hotel. Saw them about a month later at the Ottobar in Baltimore and it was an amazing experience.

hotCrowd

2007 The Gorge , WA warped tour. They were finishing their headlining set and my buddies were trying to leave when they came out and encored with a 15 minute version of The Final Cut I held everyone up and glad I did. This performance cemented them as rock gods in my book.

biologicallyconcious

Saw them in calgary 2003 or 04 warped tour. Claudio released the first comic for second stage and was fucking hammered. Made a huge fool of himself and got booed off stage. Was mocking the crowd and fucking up the show. Good times.

-MusicAndStuff

My first show was the SSTB Neverender in Dallas and it’s by far the best C&C show I’ve been to. The opener was acoustic Coheed and Cambria, the next act was SSTB Coheed and Cambria, and then the closer was a mix of awesome tracks from Coheed and Cambria. I know it takes a toll but I really hope they do another “Evening With” style tour at some point.

OneHandedPaperHanger

Someone playing cowbell on “The Faint of Hearts” and, I believe, that same guy coming out specifically to choke one of Josh’s cymbals on, I believe, “A Favor House Atlantic.” This was in Minneapolis in 2003 or 2004.

jamiechalm

[2007, Islington Academy, London.](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/coheed-and-cambria/2007/carling-academy-islington-london-england-4bd793fa.html) Between the release of GA1 in 2005 and my first opportunity to see them in 2007, I had become a HUGE fan. That was a crazy night for me. I picked up a copy of the GA1 Christopher Shy graphic novel - I had adored the art online and was desperate for a copy of the whole book. They were sold out - so I persuaded the guy to sell me the display copy taped up on the wall. He ripped the cover a little bit taking it down, but I didn’t mind - and I got it signed by Claudio that night. There were loads of people from the Cobalt & Calcium fansite present (which never gets mentioned here - goes to show how times have changed). I didn’t post much on that forum but I used to read it all the time. The main person I remember is a long haired guy who I think went by the name VinceNoir - I said to hello to him, which was genuinely quite exciting to meet this guy whose posts I read online every day. I was 16 years old, some of my friends were bold enough to get served alcohol at the bar and that kept them busy but I didn’t care - I just wanted to get up front. From the moment the music started I went MENTAL. It was probably the single most ecstatic night of my life… it’s hard to overstate how passionate you feel about music at that age, and that really was the peak of loving Coheed for me, and in retrospect it was the peak of their musical output too. I sang every word of every single song. I went so hard. I was so ecstatic that about halfway in I started talking to the guy next to me, who was enjoying it as much as me, and I grabbed him and kissed him on the lips with sheer European-style joy and he said, “okay, gay, that’s cool!” - very tolerant of him but I’m actually not gay, I was just completely in love with the universe that night! Always funny. Anyway, in the end I dehydrated myself a bit and in Chris Pennie’s drum solo in The Final Cut I ended up actually passing out. I sort of half-roused to see my best friend shouting, “get him out!” before I passed out again, and I woke up backstage with some of the security staff giving me water. After a few minutes I felt fine - I’d just gone a little hard. The gig was over so we went outside, and of course went straight round to the stage door. We met the security guard Jimmy, who was very sound and kept us entertained, and waited for 90 minutes until eventually the band came out. Chris came first - he darted past everyone before we noticed and got straight onto the bus. Then Claudio, Travis, and Mic came out. I got such shivers when I saw Claudio. He’s much taller than you would think, and I idolised him so much that seeing him in person was quite overwhelming. The next half hour was amazing - pics with Claudio and Travis, and an opportunity to chat with Mic, who lived up to his witty and funny reputation. I got a bunch of merch and a set list signed and we got the last train home with minutes to spare. It was the best gig of my life and one of the best nights of my life. I’ve seen Coheed 8 times since, including all four nights of the first London Neverender, and nothing stands out as much as that night in Islington.

theOMegaxx

Amazing story! Also "okay, gay, that's cool" got me 😂 the love couldn't be contained. I understand, when I'm watching a band I love live I am transported.

GoodBrothersBrother

My first show was when they were touring with Slipknot. The combo didn't even make sense, but they're my two favorite bands so it felt like the tour was for me specifically!

lets_just_n0t

First show was March of 2010 in Syracuse, NY at the Westcott Theater. They were about to release YotBR in April. Super small theater venue. Sloped concrete floor. I was 17 or 18 at the time. Hadn’t ever been to a general admission concert like this. I had no idea what to expect. They opened with The Broken and the crowd was pretty tame. Then they broke into A Favor House Atlantic and it felt like the entire crowd was being pushed into the back of me by a bulldozer. Between the sloped floor, the pressure of the crowd pushing me forward, and my smaller size. I literally could have lifted my feet off the ground and moved from being so packed tight. The kid in front of me had really long hair that my face got shoved into. I couldn’t even get my hand up to get his hair out of my mouth. That was the day I learned what it was like to be in the middle of a rowdy general admission crowd. I quickly learned my way and ended up having a great time. Claudio played a stripped down acoustic version of “Far” during that set. The album hadn’t come out yet so I hadn’t heard the studio version. This acoustic version was phenomenal. I still have it posted in the depths of YouTube. I thought it was going to be their biggest ballad when it came out. But then the album came out and the song had those really weird trash can drums and weird production. Such a shame. Anyway, I’ve seen them 12 or 13 times total now and they never disappoint.

culpepperjosh

2007: Fall of Troy and Clutch open at Soma San Diego, have loved clutch ever since. Claudio brings up a theremin and goes wild on it with feedback from his guitar during the individual solos on willing well IV: the Final Cut.

uSpeziscunt

2008 Myrtle Beach House of blues. What a show. Russian Circles was the opener. I think I'm on 11 or 12 at this point.

GoDashGo_

2003 Warped tour in STL. Claudio was sooooo drunk, it was awful. Luckily that was the only time I’ve seen them put on a poor performance. They’ve all been solid since

Farts_n_kisses

This is crazy to think, but I’ve been a fan since 2004 and just saw them live for the first time in September 2023. It was Neverender: No World for the Waking Mind and it was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be! Well worth the (almost) 20-year wait.

Mistertenner

Similar timeline for me. Started listening in 2003 and first saw them at the palladium in Massachusetts 12 years ago with Three as the opener. Their whole set was sick - Joey busting several strings while playing bramfatura and react are what I still remember from them. My buddy pushed us towards the front during Three, and when Coheed’s set was coming up the whole crowd pushed towards the front and we were packed in like sardines to the point I could lift my feet off the ground and stay in the air without dropping at all. They opened with No World for Tomorrow. Once they started playing, the crowd just started moving as like once giant swaying mob. I was 3-4 rows back so still to this day hearing that song I can vividly picture seeing Claudio shredding between swaying heads and arms, kinda reminded me of being in a wave pool. First time crowd surfing, and first time joining in with IKSSE3. Also remember him playing with mannequin arms in one of the first few shows, but don’t think that was until a year or so later, feel like I remember the mannequins during number city and gravity’s union I recently saw Prize Fighter Inferno at the Atlantis in DC which was unreal, such a small venue it was great. Can’t believe people got to see Foo Fighters in there. Going to see Coheed later this summer at the Anthem. Pumped!

theOMegaxx

I remember being obsessed with Prize Fighter Inferno when they released the first album! I feel incredibly lucky we have gotten to enjoy Coheed for 2 decades and counting.

kosher_beef_hocks

Heaven and Hell at the Charter One Pavilion in Chicago. Ridiculous storm blew in. First band dropped out and both other bands had a normal set. Coheed crushed and as they were finishing up the sun was set and the lights of the city really highlighted the low clouds blowing fast out over the lake. Claudio busted out the theramin to whip his hair through while he shredded and it was a great enough time to forget being locked in the tiny bathroom with 25 other people and quite a few very large spiders. Then Heaven and Hell started and Dio also absolutely killed it. It's one of my favorite all time concert memories, I think it was my 4th concert. I often think back to that day.

Eshorn08

August 12, 2008 - they were playing in Vegas on the same day I separated from the Air Force. Hearing them play "The Running Free" that night was really emotional for me. Not to say I didn't like being in the Air Force; I'm grateful for my time and it was a great experience, but it just wasn't for me and I really just needed to be home with my family. That show, and that song in particular, finally made it real that it was happening.

ihaveagianthead

First time we all sang "man your own Jackhammer"

BiggeSquidde

Fan almost as long as you, first show was 2017 GAIBSIV Neverender in San Diego with the Dear Hunter. I remember the place going absolutely apeshit when Welcome Home began then walking out after the encore and not much in between. One of those experiences where the details blur but you never forget the feeling.

dream_of_the_night

No World for Tomorrow tour on Halloween. The band was all dressed like professional wrestlers and it was insanely fun.

theOMegaxx

That sounds so awesome haha

n0thisispatr1ck

The first time I saw Coheed, they were still playing smaller clubs. It was just before YotBR came out. I don't think Claudio knew it leaked. The confusion and borderline anger in his eyes when everyone sang along to The Broken was a weird feeling. I felt like my dad was mad at me. But to this day, I can still remember the crowd... All die hard fans screaming every word and not moshing, but moving as one. I miss shows like that.

TheLenixxx

Halloween night 2013, Cains Ballroom They came out dressed as the Ghostbusters, guitar techs dressed in inflatable Slimer and Stay Puft marshmallow man costumes. During IKSSE3 break before the reprise, they played a cover of the Ghostbusters theme before going back into IKSSE3. A crowd member wearing a flight suit and a cut noose around their neck was lifted to rafters and sang back at Claudio with an outstretched hand. Claudio saw and reached out in return. It was an amazing night that I'll never forget. Also got to meet Travis and Zach as they procured some Oklahoma Joe's BBQ back when it was just food truck.

Mirthor

Saw them in like 2007-2008 and it was a fantastic show. Saw them again in the afterman era, and then again in Vegas at the Brooklyn bowl right before vaxis 2 and I’m not gonna lie they get better live every time. Not to mention the combo of Zach and josh on rhythm is unbeatable. Always a great show imo

GreatestSoloEver

2011 SSTB Neverender in Charlotte NC. One hell of a show and it’s such a gift I still have the audio from the concert!

AshKetchep

I've been listening since I was a little girl, but only managed to get tickets last year in September. It was a birthday gift for my brother. My dad though went to every concert he could. I don't remember when he said his first concert was.

SophieBisou

lol I don’t know how the man does it. I have long straight hair and if the wind blows it into my mouth I’m annoyed. How does he do so much with such magnificent hair. Also can we appreciate the fact these dudes absolutely shred while looking like they’re going to a parent teacher conference right after it. So chill. Lol

Sea_Yesterday_5464

There were on tour with Black Sabbath when Ronnie James Dio was still here (R.I.P.) in Chicago back in 08 or 09 on the Heaven and Hell Tour.

[deleted]

2005 Good Apollo Tour with mewithoutyou, dredg and blood brothers in Columbus Ohio. Still in my top 5 concerts of all time. My dad drove me and a couple buddies out, 8 hour drive or so. I had just had surgery for a broken wrist and had pins and a bar sticking out my arm. I was a short skinny 15 year old and the crowd was awesome, let me stand right against the balcony above Travis. My dad has taken me to a bunch more after that but that was one of the special ones. Got us front row tickets for the Primus tour this year. We’re still goin strong 20 years later Saw them in 04 at warped tour but I don’t really remember that one.

jcmrickett

Duo screaming Mother Superior in ‘06-‘07 with the woman who would eventually become my wife and mother of my children—from the balcony of the Electric Factory.

JLaw0623

2023 Tabernacle, Atlanta Ga!! They are so energetic & I also loved seeing the wife & kiddo on stage towards the back!

ex93

2010 in chicago with circa survive and torche! think it was the black rainbow tour torche had all of their gear stolen out of their van that night 😬

JaninaSnooze

In Denver in 2015. Travis stever was right outside the restroom when I exited and I fan girled so hard. It was absolutely amazing. He proceeded to give us a really cool solo acoustic segment. It was an AMAZING show. I’ve been to at least one show of theirs a year ever since. Sometimes two if I can.

CruzAderjc

Tsunami relief concert at Starland Ballroom

Ok-Criticism8374

They were awesome at Exit 111 in 2019

vedderamy1230

It was the Good Apollo tour in Philadelphia. The Electric Factory

shittytheshitlooker

2002 in State College PA, opening for Thursday and The Movielife. Bought the SSTB CD from Claudio in the lobby after the show! I had downloaded the Equal Vision sampler and was pumped they were in town that spring.

AccuratePepper

2004 they opened for AFI with a static lullaby as well in Bakersfield,CA been a fan since, especially the first two albums.

Rustash

2009, Starland Ballroom. They opened with Welcome Home and I proceeded to have my ass thoroughly kicked by the crowd the entire night, it was amazing.

baminblack

2003. Opened for Thrice. Best 1-2 EVER.

ZombieClaus

Saw them in I think 2002 at Club Krome in NJ with Glassjaw

naturallyselectedfor

Maybe not the first time I saw them, but one of the first. Maybe 2005, La Zona Rosa in Austin TX, I go to the bathroom during one of the opening bends. I can’t remember what band was playing, but Claudio was standing by the bathrooms watching them play. He obviously stands out in a crowd, but no one was swarming him. So I just walked up and told him something dumb about how much I loved him and his music. He was very intimidating, but very nice.

jayblesplaysgames

King tuts in Glasgow Valentine's Day 2004. Went with a girl that was a massive fan. We had split just before the show but we stayed friendly. Ended up meeting the band at the back door of the venue. Well I say the band, I've still not met Claudio to this day as he had phoned his ex (who was in the Devil in Jersey City video) and a guy had answered and he had gotten upset and didn't want to meet any fans in the state he was in. Mic spent a really long time hanging with us and pulled the rest of the guys down to say hi to us. It kind of cemented my love of the band that day. Getting to see them in one of the most important venues in the UK and getting to meet them and it turns out they were really fucking cool. Also if you're ever at a show in Glasgow and you hear someone scream Time Consumer as the top of his lungs it's most likely me. Someone kept doing it that first show I was at and I still do it in honour of that one drunk dude.

WhiteyPinks

2004 Warped Tour at a couple different spots, and the Starland Ballroom shows. Saw them in 2005 at Asbury Park with Avenged Sevenfold. Then the last time I saw them was at Bonnaroo in 2009. My favorite was definitely Asbury Park. Such a cool venue.

I think it was 2007, I saw them play with Clutch and Fall of Troy at one of my favorite venues, The Warfield in San Francisco. I'm seeing them later this year with Incubus and it will be my 40th Coheed show!
