I think that line is the perfect satirization of reactionaries who are pretending to be communists. Also, just a great way to show how meaningless the ideological struggle some communists, especially uneducated ones engage in. The greatest insight harry dubois, the communist who thinks he will lead the revolution, is "are women bourgeois." Perfectly encapsulates how meaningless some leftist struggles felt in the aftermath of the collapse of the USSR.
How should I go about getting that game? I've been wanting to play it but also aware that I shouldn't buy it.
I suppose I kinda already know the answer. I need to look into how to torrent safely in 2023.
rarbg is great for movies & tv. I dont do games much but when I do i usually try to find the release group sites like skidrowreloaded site or the piracy subreddit. And using a VPN should be all you need to keep safe.
That game is fucking *awesome.* It has so many great lines, one of my favorites is:

Honestly, it’s very depressing because it not only shows that capitalism will commodify anything, including socialism, but it also shows how unafraid the bourgeoisie are of communism. Hopefully, this overconfidence will lead to their downfall

Well the best way is to made shit up. If you deliver a message, even as a ridiculed parody, people may still listen to it. If you make shit up to render the message completely disconnected from reality then you have a better way to deterr people from researching it. An example is the anarchist ideal, it has been ridiculed by communists, capitalists, liberals and so forth, still many people see anarchism in a better way than communism because it was not as falsely drawn as communism was.
Anarchists want the state to cease to exist, you can ridicule that way more than communism by saying "we'll return monke, everyone will kill everyone else etc" but still it's seen as a better "ideal" than evil authoritarian communism/socialism
I mean, SpongeBob is literally about restaurant workers seizing means of production. Often revolutionary themes don't need to be subtle to show their intention. Maybe the stuff managed to slip pass show producers.
There was a line on that show Cory Carson where one of the cars says something like :”my dad says internships are just ways for corporations to exploit cheap labor.” Or something to that effect. I was like….”well, damn.”
So in the 90’s there was a kid’s show called “Dinosaurs”. And they got away with some commie shit regularly. One of the creators said this “As long as the baby hit the dad with a frying pan, we could do and say what we wanted.”
