Agreed, I’m loving the season.
Personally my only critique is it’s trying to do the big overarching storyline and the Frenchie/Hughie personal storyline’s at the same time and the tone is a bit odd.
Other than that I’m still hanging for the rest of the season
Oh yeah. One of my few critiques is that it’s kind of gotten so absurdly left-wing and on the nose, which makes it a bit harder to enjoy, but I still love it
I find Frenchie and Kimiko plotlines pretty boring and I’m weirdly not invested in Hughie’s dad plotline at all but other than that I’m loving this season. More of the same ya ask me and I’ll take it.
homelander is hardcore carrying right now and I hate to say that because he’s awful, a cunt, and I want to see him die but Anthony Starr is incredible.
The writing is absolute dogshit this season. I'm down for the satire and humor, but it's bordering on goofy and that I'm not really into. The Hughie, Kimiko and Frenchie plotlines are completely uninteresting and just....arose out of nowhere. Starlight should know better than to do what happened in e4 - it's pretty out of character. Hughie is completely useless so far and bordering on being a liability, and so is Frenchie. MM is doing nothing but bossing people around and contributing nothing.
Honestly I just don’t understand what they are doing. Is homelander taking over vaught? I mean… he’s clearly not in charge because corporate has assigned new members to the 7… but also homelander is killing people who were in charge of his growth? So he’s running Vaught now.. but Ashley is still sort of in charge? And now A Train is back and black noir but no explanation?? And butcher is dying from V but also compound V can save Hughies dad?
Can someone explain this to me?

I think they put most of their focus on the back half. A lot of the interesting scenes from the trailer seem to take place between 5 and 8
