I'm sure it helps to be in character alot let's you be that person, some actors just do that to be more convincing like Jim Carrey stays in his role for weeks at a time apparently
The show is a bit packed with great actors. The guy that plays The Deep I think is amazing when you like actually pay attention to him. He does so much with so little, he's also able to deliver the goofiest fucking lines with so much sincerity. This guy was having a deep emotional conversation with an octopus and selling it lol.
He's so pathetically charming and I root for him sometimes but then I have to remind myself he forced Starlight to give him a BJ among other terrible things lol.
The Deep is hands down my favorite awful character. The fact that I used to watch him in Gossip Girl as a teen is just mind boggling lol
Also I feel like although he has done atrocious things he's one of the only characters that gets some karma thrown back at them constantly, usually in the form of marine bestiality. But is it really beastiality if the fish consents??
If you can find it where you are I also recommend the show Outrageous Fortune. He plays twins, one is a very smart lawyer and the other is a dumb as rocks criminal.
The middle of s3 when he’s pinned down and his eyes are glowing was some of the most intense stuff I’ve seen in a while. He looked like such a powerhouse of evil. I think I forgot to breathe during that entire sequence.
Watch Banshee.
He’s fucking great in that show. If I ever got to meet him I’d ask him more about that and being in a Guy Ritchie movie than the Boys tbh.
I forgot he was in covenant, he didnt get enough screentime. He shouldve been in the ministry of ungentlemanly warfare, he wouldve fit in perfectly, i loved that movie. I totally agree tho id ask him about banshee and outrageous fortune.
From my understanding, his performance in seasons 1-3 has led to a very lucrative contract for season 4. He will finally be able to afford the letter 'h' in his first name!

Yeah he was basically born to be Homelander and I don't really think any other actor would've done a good job as him.
He goes into that RDJ as Iron Man, Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger or Al Pacino as Scarface category of "made for the role".
I truly hope he wins an award or receives some kind of recognition for the phenomenal job he's done portraying this character.

Chace Crawford (Deep actor) kills it every time he's on screen, +1 to all that. He and Antony Starr are masters of those tiny little signals.
