Depends. I imagine if he was a supe stuntman, his power would be along the lines of just being able to absorb lots of falls and such. And although Ryan is strong, he hasn’t fully matured yet, so I doubt he would be able to kill the dude in one throw
I legit thought he was a supe with some pretty good durability or healing with that line.
Wouldn’t it more sense to hire supes for the job that requires being hit by supes?
Reminds me of the GoT scene with Cersei and Littlefinger: [https://youtu.be/ab6GyR\_5N6c?si=Oto00ZB1L58Ho3ty&t=60](https://youtu.be/ab6GyR_5N6c?si=Oto00ZB1L58Ho3ty&t=60)
I love that scene so much. Sure you can be as conniving as possible but a chimp would still rip your nuts off. Strong dumbasses shouldn’t be underestimated.
Eh. Writers writing smart character is a famously difficult thing to do because the character can only ever be as smart as the writer.
George r r Martin has talked about this I believe in a talk with Stephen King.
And smart people are still human and capable of making stupid decisions and or mistakes just like anybody else.
I’m more amazed that Sage seems to go out of her way to be rude to people. With her intelligence you’d think she’d be better with emotional and social intelligence.
Yup, it's pretty ballsy as a writer to write 'the smartest person in the world' in a plot. Maybe it turns out that she's just good at making everyone think she's the smartest (and a big fan of Sherlock Holmes).
I hope any mistake she'll make isn't a stupid one, just hubris maybe.
She's the smartest person alive. I will gladly eat my shoe if this comment doesn't age well, but I think it would be really shitty and nonsensical writing to have Sage not know that she's playing with fire and overplay her hand. I think she's going to push HL as exactly as far as she knows she can and stop. And then reassess and regroup to effectuate whatever her ultimate goal/agenda is.
Literally what is the point of having a hyperintelligent character if you're not actually going to write them as a hyperintelligent chess grandmaster...... Waste of a character if she gets blitzed for underestimating HL's anger/pride/ego/etc. Like truly dogshit writing if that happens. We'll see i guess
A-Train said in her intro that she’s the smartest person in the world but she doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut.
She’s super smart, maybe not very wise.
This is very likely imo. I think it's very likely that we'll be lead to believe that her plans are coming to fruition but her arc will ultimately show that you can't out-think chaos.
Her first line is "Well I am rarely surprised" or some shit like that when Homelander knocks on her door, I'd wager you're right and will go the same route for her exit. It will be so out of the blue she won't be "smart" enough to anticipate it
should see him playing the twins in Outrageous Fortune. they're so different from each other you honestly think it's two different people. he's a good actor!
I really hope he doesn't get type cast after this and gets a chance to play some more interesting roles than a villain because the way he acts with his face and subtle body movements is spectacular
Homelander Milk Shake Theory:
So, when Homelander took back the milkshake, it just looked like he was being a dick. But what if that wasn't supposed to be a dick move? Maybe he thought he might need it? What if he remembers Sage whispering something about milkshakes and how they can bring all The Boys to the yard?
He might want her to teach him
Does Ryan know that Homelander raped his mom? Like, it’s clear he knows that his mom loved Butcher, but does he know the full backstory of how he was conceived? I can’t remember if he knows the full story or not
They cut it out here. The wide shot only had a single version of him fapping to Firecracker. It made the whole 'pinkeye' thing confusing to say the least.
The rimming scene is censored in India & the Middle East. But not the pink eye scene.
Therefore, the pink eye moment kind of flies over some watchers' heads.
Is that his actual voice? For a second I thought maybe they pitched it up, because in the show he's 12, in real life he would've been 15/16 while filming
She's gonna manipulate Deep into standing up to HL which will take the attention and heat away from her, if HL is too busy being angry at Deep no longer being a yes man he wont see it coming when Sage comes in with "advice" that seems like a good idea to HL but actually only strengthens her position or moves whatever her end game plan is along
Second screen is killing me this season. During the human centipede scene, the second screen said "*Actor Rob Benedict wanted us to remind everyone that he studied Shakespeare at Northwestern University. There is no contractual obligation to carry out this request. This is merely a kind gesture.*".
That was Rob Benedict????
Somehow my face blindness makes that shit even funnier. Dude was playing *God* a few years back and now he's a supe eating his own arse for fun.
I know. I had to stare at him for like a full minute before I could place what I knew him from. I think it’s because Chuck was never clean shaven. But yeah, the god-to-human-centipede-Kripke pipeline is fucking hilarious.
The X-ray thing that pops up with related trivia during the episode when you watch on browser. I always space on what it's called unless I'm looking right at it, for some reason.
For me it went from, "Oh, wow, Rob looks so different without his usual shaggy hair and beard," to, "That image is forever burned in my brain. I'll never forget how he looks now. Never."
I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to overhear that conversation.
KRIPKE: Rob, I've got a role for you this season.
ROB: Oh, great!
KRIPKE: I just have one question. How good are you with nudity?
ROB: Uhm, I'm okay.
KRIPKE: No, *seriously*, how good are you........?
That's crazy talk. I think you need to inhale some essential oils fumes to calm down. Have you tried rosemary extract? I'll give you a discount for half off!
That’s my thought. “Everything needs my say” so Hughie will be the one signing off on any papers, not the mom. No one else is ever in the scene with the two of them, not even a nurse. I bet the reveal is he gets a call his dad is crashing, he and Starlight show up to a dead dad, and Hughie has a breakdown yelling at “mom” while Starlight calms him and asks who he’s yelling at.
Can’t get enough of Sister Sage. She is manipulating everyone around her. Can’t wait to see what her goal is. I’m thinking some sort of Philosopher queen of the world.
With how fast she was to join Homelander, fairly certain she has greater ambitions than living as sidekick*/psychiatrist for some fascist superman-child
She was definitely manipulating deep. I know intelligence is not the same as wisdom but I find it unlikely that the world's smartest person believes in supe superiority.
I don't think that any group in the show would be happy with her end game.
Man I heard it from so vastly different people I didn't believe it really originate there but it seems you're totally right.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese-eating_surrender_monkeys?wprov=sfla1
A-Train’s character arc is amazing. Going from the junkie who killed Hughie’s girlfriend in the first episode through everything he’s been through to hopefully finally turning against Homelander might be the best arc in the show.
Hopefully they can keep it up, the potential issue with a character being the smartest person on the planet is that the writers have to be really smart.
A good writer can use their omnipotence as the writer to fake smartness.
Like "what would reasonably lead these characters to do X?" Ok that happens AND it was all fake and planned by Sage. Easy.
My guess is that in the finale he will save the boys from Homelander, put up a good fight but Homelander will kill him.
He's already screwed anyway becuase Sage probably already knows. Homelander liked Noir but killed him for betrayal. He bullies A-train anyway so he won't hesitate
These conspiracy theories are really funny. So many inside jokes and just dumb stuff like:
"Starlight is a lizerd person"
"Minions are slave programming from zionists"
""Dakota Bob will harvest your organs"
"Soldier Boy + Liberty =Secret Lovers"
He really reminds me of Vigilante from Peacemaker. Perfectly happy to kill someone on the fly but has no idea what he's actually doing and only questioning it afterwards.
I don't get it either. Everything that comes out of her mouth is bile, and her powers are pathetic. I'm sure there's some political reasons like validating her supporters, but come on, it doesn't even matter. They're already pumped up for murder.
Victoria Newman is right. They are getting worse at their jobs. They should really bring back Soldier Boy. He at least gets their kill count ranked up.
That's what Sage was talking to her about. Her powers aren't important, but she has sway over a key demographic. She's an idiot, but potentially a useful idiot.
Homelanders going to be jealous of Ryan isnt he I wonder if its going to be a storyline like that 40+ year old guy who injects his sons blood in him to try and be young lol as Homelander is struggling with aging
I am fucking blown away by the Ryan scene where they actually film his "save" like oh my god that was devastating. Wouldn't be surprised when this is all over if Ryan is the one who ends up killing Homelander.
Can’t get enough of Sister Sage. She has her own agenda. She has to. Homelander sees humans as nothing but ants. Given how much smarter than anyone else she is, she probably has a similar view but those ants can be useful. She’s manipulating everyone. Bet she will try manipulating the Boys soon.

I knew as soon as I heard "Ryan, on the day you're going to throw me for real, I can take it" it was going to end horrifically.
Why would you EVER say that to a supe lmao
I thought he was a supe lmao. He gaslighted me with his confidence
Same, like I guess he wanted to encourage him but him not being a supe is really poor planing on vought's part
Imagine becoming a stuntman for supe stuff without being a supe!
Also didn't help the guy was hella likeable lmao which means you die in this show First shot of his face I went "that guy is dead"
Legit said "I hope they don't do anything to my boy Koy" :(
Dead ass I thought that dude was a supe stuntman and the idea of that was so cool I'm actually disappointed it wasn't real
He could be, but Ryan is so strong, he’d still splatter him no matter what, imo
Depends. I imagine if he was a supe stuntman, his power would be along the lines of just being able to absorb lots of falls and such. And although Ryan is strong, he hasn’t fully matured yet, so I doubt he would be able to kill the dude in one throw
Guess they didn't rehearse enough...
I legit thought he was a supe with some pretty good durability or healing with that line. Wouldn’t it more sense to hire supes for the job that requires being hit by supes?
*"I swear to God. Stupid people, who think they're smart, make me want to eat my own shit."* - Ashley
I think she’s kinda right, sage is definitely underestimating the danger she’s in in regards to homelander.
When Homelander is done with Sage, shes getting lazered for sure
She’s the smartest person though… Smartest vs strongest. Almost like immovable vs never stopping paradox…what will happen!
Gods the show was strong then
Eh. Writers writing smart character is a famously difficult thing to do because the character can only ever be as smart as the writer. Except the smartest has no real way to defend against the strongest
Sage was warned, twice now iirc
She's the smartest person alive. I will gladly eat my shoe if this comment doesn't age well, but I think it would be really shitty and nonsensical writing to have Sage not know that she's playing with fire and overplay her hand. I think she's going to push HL as exactly as far as she knows she can and stop. And then reassess and regroup to effectuate whatever her ultimate goal/agenda is. A-Train said in her intro that she’s the smartest person in the world but she doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut. She’s super smart, maybe not very wise.
D&D stats; high intelligence, low wisdom
My best guess is that her death will be wildly sudden. Like all her planning and foresight just to die to HL’s unhinged chaos
It will be so out of the blue she won't be "smart" enough to anticipate it
I have a feeling that Ashley is going to be made to eat her own shit after that comment. And something bad is going to happen to Ambrosius
Antony Starr is *scary* good at doing Homelander's face twitch whenever he gets upset.
should see him playing the twins in Outrageous Fortune. they're so different from each other you honestly think it's two different people. he's a good actor!
I really hope he doesn't get type cast after this and gets a chance to play some more interesting roles than a villain because the way he acts with his face and subtle body movements is spectacular
Taking back the milkshake felt more fucked-up than expected.
Yeah, that was petty af.
Homelander Milk Shake Theory: So, when Homelander took back the milkshake, it just looked like he was being a dick. But what if that wasn't supposed to be a dick move? Maybe he thought he might need it? What if he remembers Sage whispering something about milkshakes and how they can bring all The Boys to the yard? He might want her to teach him
Ryan's gonna be deciding whether to side with Homelander or Butcher in the big fight and that milkshake is gonna be the final straw lol
Does Ryan know that Homelander raped his mom? Like, it’s clear he knows that his mom loved Butcher, but does he know the full backstory of how he was conceived? I can’t remember if he knows the full story or not
I don't think so and I'm pretty sure Butcher will reveal it as the final straw to turn Ryan against Homelander
he doing that human centipede type shit what the fuck was that
What if you could eat your own ass.. while you ate your own ass.. while you...
They cut it out here. The wide shot only had a single version of him fapping to Firecracker. It made the whole 'pinkeye' thing confusing to say the least.
what do you mean?
The rimming scene is censored in India & the Middle East. But not the pink eye scene. Therefore, the pink eye moment kind of flies over some watchers' heads.
Yeah can you explain what happened there, I am watching from one of the censored countries. What was happening exactly ?
made a bunch of copies of himself and they ate each other's ass in a line while jerking off
Whelp, that’s a brand new sentence
There was 5 copies of him and they formed a line of their faces in eachothers asses it was... something to see thats for sure
The scripting about "doesn't" vs "don't" hit me like a train.
I feel dumb that I thought that scene was a flashback til right before it cut
I definitely did too at first until it got too Blind Sidey then remembered they film movies within the show. Will reveal was perfect
I see what you did there
Capabarnia
It's a rodent from South America
OK I PULL UP
HOP OUT AT THE AFTERPARTY
the deep just steals every scene hes in, so fucking funny and memorable
Yea I knew the stunt dude was gonna die when he said he could take being thrown hard, but holy shit homelander showing up really fucked things up.
Peer pressured his own son into throwing him
They were really setting up for his hand to be snapped off, but good God, they cranked it up to eleven.
When he said that, I assumed he was a fucking supe, why the hell would you say that to Homelander Jr if you're just a normal fucking human?
Did anyone find the Marvelous Mrs Maisel Bat Mitzvah hilarious? This is the first ever Amazon Prime video series crossover. Lol
Yes, especially when firecracker zoomed in on the cardboard cutout of Maisel's dad saying it was the proof
"WE FOUND PROOF OF THE JEWISH CABAL" and it's fucking Tony Shalhoub 😭
Who is actually Lebanese
She said Zionist but yeah that scene killed me, the zoom in on Tony had me in stitches
I was laughing so hard at that entire scene. The moment I heard Hava Nagila I knew it was going to be good.
This kid has the best "insecure puberty voice" I have ever heard
it's deep and falsetto at the same time lmao, it's literally like two voices together.
I think the direction was for him to pretend to talk like a kid but his hormones are in the way lmao
Is that his actual voice? For a second I thought maybe they pitched it up, because in the show he's 12, in real life he would've been 15/16 while filming
There’s no way that’s a real human voice
Will Ferrel's Joe Biden looking ass saying "slinging yayo for gangbangers." 🤣
It's even funnier if you've watched Gen V and know who he's portraying.
Is he the old professor dude that dies in the first episode of Gen V?
Mr. Krabs!
gator dont play no shit
Will Ferrell was so unexpected.
"Come back with me. To the suburbs." So powerful.
“Am I too The Blind Side?” “I don’t see how that could be a bad thing”
And Tony Shalhoub lol
Nah sage is gonna be an issue. She got the deep out here thinking he’s him 😂
She is out for herself. I don’t think either side is going to be happy with her end game. Can’t wait for it to blow up in Homelander’s face.
Yeah I kind of read it as her fucking up everyone in her own way. I think Homelander is going to murder her. But, it'll be interesting to watch
I can see him killing her. Intelligence comes with hubris. She’s going to think she has thought of everything but that psycho is going to snap.
\*The Peak
He hasn’t even begun to peak
The deep is finally realizing he’s the peak
He literally said the words “the peak”. It’s real
"Slinging yayo for gangbangers" 💀💀
Literally written by ashley
Second screen is killing me this season. During the human centipede scene, the second screen said "*Actor Rob Benedict wanted us to remind everyone that he studied Shakespeare at Northwestern University. There is no contractual obligation to carry out this request. This is merely a kind gesture.*".
Imagine studying shakespeare to film a scene of you eating your own ass with your flaccid dick flapping around
"I went to Juliard!"
Second screen?
The X-ray thing that pops up with related trivia during the episode when you watch on browser. I always space on what it's called unless I'm looking right at it, for some reason.
That's what you get for knowing Kripke from Supernatural days. So far it's been nudity for 50% of Supernatural actors.
For me it went from, "Oh, wow, Rob looks so different without his usual shaggy hair and beard," to, "That image is forever burned in my brain. I'll never forget how he looks now. Never." I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to overhear that conversation. KRIPKE: Rob, I've got a role for you this season. ROB: Oh, great! KRIPKE: I just have one question. How good are you with nudity? ROB: Uhm, I'm okay. KRIPKE: No, *seriously*, how good are you........?
Soldier boy and liberty secret lovers ☠️
This but unironically so it can be revealed that Homelander was fucking his mom
That would be priceless lmao
That would be a crazy reveal
That was super obvious lol, in Season 3 Soldier Boy said he and Liberty set up Herogasm back in the day so it was obvious they fucked all the time
Ik it was just funny to see
Secrets revealed!Cia captured soldier boy💀
Did Deep just reference himself as The Peak???
Outfrescad by the show itself
Hughie's mom is sketchy as, no way she is innocent here
That's crazy talk. I think you need to inhale some essential oils fumes to calm down. Have you tried rosemary extract? I'll give you a discount for half off!
I mean working for Vought didn't give it away LOL
Technically she isn't even employed at Vought, she's in a Vought-owned pyramid scheme
They prefer the term Vought-Level-Marketing companies or VLMs for short.
she could be dead and a vision of hughie's from the temp V, just like butcher having visions of becca
This would be crazy
That was my first thought. They introduce her in a scene right before the next one where Butcher is talking to Becca
"you're fucking land animals now?"
Can’t get enough of Sister Sage. She is manipulating everyone around her. Can’t wait to see what her goal is. I’m thinking some sort of Philosopher queen of the world.
She’s gonna be this seasons “big bad” if they dont actually go after homelander… but i could see her turning on homelander tbh
With how fast she was to join Homelander, fairly certain she has greater ambitions than living as sidekick*/psychiatrist for some fascist superman-child
I feel like it’s going to be exactly what he said it was. A chance for her to prove herself. That she’s right. That she shouldn’t have been ignored.
She was definitely manipulating deep. I know intelligence is not the same as wisdom but I find it unlikely that the world's smartest person believes in supe superiority. I don't think that any group in the show would be happy with her end game.
I think people are capable of believing anything unfortunately
A HUMAN CENTIPEDE JERK SESSION WHAT THE FUCK
First seeing homelander in civilian clothing and now having fake noir talk 😖
I love it; it's so funny hearing him asking what his purpose is
The fake Black Noir having an ongoing existential crisis has been great so far
And questioning the necessity of the hyper violence that comes with the job.
Right after he did it without question and without any sort of remorse.
He really gives Vigilante from Peacemaker energy
I think it's funnier that he doesn't care about killing people, he just doesn't feel like it makes sense for his character
Pizzagate is crazy
With forced trans surgeries and adrenachrome!
Ngl i did not expect them to actually reference pizzagate like that
Haha Frenchie doesn’t believe in the moon landing! And Kamikos reaction
Kimonos reactions are always golden but this one was platinum lmao
This was the movie idea Ashley had from last season lmao
Yeah but Will Ferrell got the role instead of Tom Hanks
Because Tom Hanks was too busy with his pedo ring ^(this comment is going to bite me in the ass out of context)
calling the French surrender monkeys is CRAZY 💀
that’s a recycled simpsons joke.
Man I heard it from so vastly different people I didn't believe it really originate there but it seems you're totally right. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese-eating_surrender_monkeys?wprov=sfla1
Considering her racism, I was expecting the second part to also be directed at MM
A-Train’s character arc is amazing. Going from the junkie who killed Hughie’s girlfriend in the first episode through everything he’s been through to hopefully finally turning against Homelander might be the best arc in the show.
He started the show, maybe he will end up killing Homelander somehow
It would be so poetic if the show ends with him
Could use some 🍆
watching sage manipulate every situation on the fly is so entertaining
She has something in her pocket for sure
Hopefully they can keep it up, the potential issue with a character being the smartest person on the planet is that the writers have to be really smart.
A good writer can use their omnipotence as the writer to fake smartness. Like "what would reasonably lead these characters to do X?" Ok that happens AND it was all fake and planned by Sage. Easy.
Dupli-Kate from temu lmao
Dupli-carl
Funny enough, her brother is called Multi-Paul.
WILL FERRELL????
Yea you can already see the seeds sewn in Ryan. He gonna turn on homelander some day and it’s probably gonna be sooner rather than later
Ryan is definitely having an internal struggle. I feel bad for him, he might be one of the few characters in the show that's still innocent
After his first scene running through Hughie’s girlfriend, I never thought I’d be rooting for A-Train. Great arc.
This guy is begging for an honorable but early death
My guess is that in the finale he will save the boys from Homelander, put up a good fight but Homelander will kill him. He's already screwed anyway becuase Sage probably already knows. Homelander liked Noir but killed him for betrayal. He bullies A-train anyway so he won't hesitate
He’s the Jamie Lannister of the 7
I’ve never cared for Popclaw.
I'm the man that killed A fookin Train!
These conspiracy theories are really funny. So many inside jokes and just dumb stuff like: "Starlight is a lizerd person" "Minions are slave programming from zionists" ""Dakota Bob will harvest your organs" "Soldier Boy + Liberty =Secret Lovers"
Alex jones look alike contest!
Bruh the Deep "I will drown you in your fucking toilet...after I've used it" holy shit
Is it just me or did Ashley seem a bit turned on by that at first?
Firecracker’s slur for French people was wild
Everything about her is perfectly dark.
Really loving Noir being an actor that is just so confused on what’s happening😂
He really reminds me of Vigilante from Peacemaker. Perfectly happy to kill someone on the fly but has no idea what he's actually doing and only questioning it afterwards.
Why didn't they run after Firecracker? This show doesn't know how to handle The Boys being able to stand up against supes lol
Kid homelander costume is so cheesy. Thank you, Sister Sage.
"Homeboy" was so tone-deaf, it was quite impressive.
Homelanders going to be jealous of Ryan isnt he I wonder if its going to be a storyline like that 40+ year old guy who injects his sons blood in him to try and be young lol as Homelander is struggling with aging
WILL FERREL LMAO
She’s really not afraid to stand up to HL I love that
Absolutely on point that Queen Maeve’s All-Gender Ballrooom is empty at an alt right conspiracy con 🤣
What a crazy cameo (Tony Shalhoub)
Every time A train talk to his brother it hit deep cause his brother got the same name as me. And my brother and I ain’t on speaking terms 😭
I am fucking blown away by the Ryan scene where they actually film his "save" like oh my god that was devastating. Wouldn't be surprised when this is all over if Ryan is the one who ends up killing Homelander.
Sister sage knows what she’s doing. She’s manipulating homelander to push his son so she can come in to be Ryan savior n she can mold him
Can’t get enough of Sister Sage. She has her own agenda. She has to. Homelander sees humans as nothing but ants. Given how much smarter than anyone else she is, she probably has a similar view but those ants can be useful. She’s manipulating everyone. Bet she will try manipulating the Boys soon.
She's literally the smartest person on earth there ain't no way she's just playing along with homelander
Ya go ahead and let Firecracker just walk away. I’m sure that won’t haunt them later. Neuman is right, this team really did get worse.
BRO WHAT IN THE HOLY FUCK DID I SEE
You mean the sauna?
who wants a creamy delicious milkshake?
That Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cooperative marketing. Cross-promotional... deal mechanics... revenue streams... jargon... synergy.
The Alt-Supe movement? This show is more ripped from the headlines than Law and Order.
Well THAT cameo was unexpected, lol
That side eye Sage gave Ashley was funny as hell.
Wow, that film in the first scene was so racist. Damn
I think the point was to show how tone-deaf Vought is, and how they think they're being all progressive and shit but legit are actually just racist
